If she gagged herself to prevent AS from hearing her, then she must have figured out he would be the one to find her, not JS, because he was the one in the home. If she had the presence of mind to be concerned about AS hearing her, why did she kill herself naked and outside? There is a balcony from which Max's fell from. So she could have hanged herself inside.

BBM

Not necessarily. Imo, she just didnt want Adam to hear her at the time so he could take her down before she died.

Most occur indoors (not all) but "jumping hangings" can be done outside.

IMO

How many of those "jumping hangings" where nude women, with hands and feet bound, and gagged with a t-shirt? I am pretty sure that answer will be none (if you don't count RN).

7 weeks
15 detectives
and a lot more information that what we have had to work with......

LE conclusion

I got more questions now than my dog has fleas....

LE is way to friendly with the Shacknai family...

I think she stuffed the t-shirt in her mouth to keep her from screaming.

IMO

Yes a murderer would definitely do that. Not a suicide victim, imo. Never heard of that in my life.

ETA: Sorry for being so graphic but when a person hangs,a rope around their neck, how would they be able to scream? This tshirt, imo was used to gag her before they pushed her off the balcony.

As I have said repeatedly in the past, jjenny the ones who keep up with these studies do not keep up with the specifics of each suicide. Such as every step the suicidal person made. They only keep up with the method they used generically.

I doubt we can find another person who committed suicide by using a robot either but it happened. Suicides are unique......they do not mimic each other .........other than the general way in which they took thee lives. I.e. hanging, overdose. gun. drowning. etc.

How they go about it to obtain the results is an individual decision.

oceanblueeyes posted a floorplan of the mansion last week:
http://www.trulia.com/property/photos/1039341000-1043-Ocean-Blvd-Coronado-CA-92118#item-1

If you look closely you will see that the only bathroom downstairs is the half bath under the stairs. Then look at the master bedroom. There is a deck on top of the den which is off the master bedroom. It faces the street. Much more public. So the statement that that bedroom was the only one with a balcony is not actually true. The master might not have had a balcony, but it had a deck with a railing she could have easily used, and if she was so intent on humiliating herself, why not face the street? Plus, as pointed out by jjenny she could have used the same stairwell where Max fell......HOWEVER, if it were someone forcing RN to do those things, wouldn't look very good out there on the deck facing the street would it? Much more private in the back. And while I'm at it, why tie the rope to the bed? It seemed long enough to reach, why not simply use the cast iron railing on the balcony? The entire house is cast concrete. The railing was designed to keep people from falling. Should be able to handle her #100.

Hanging would have prevented her from screaming even without a gag in her mouth.

If this really was *atonement* for Max's fall, why not use the stairwell where he was injured? Wouldn't that make much more sense than the back bedroom, nude in the courtyard?

So now we have the message left on the door revised as: "She Saved Him Can You Save Her" [my underlining] -from ME autopsy report of RN

And, now we have the insinuation that MS was on his Razor type scooter on the second floor hallway heading toward the staircase and something derided him sending him over the railing at a faster pace than waking.

"A ‘Razor' type scooter was lying across his right shin," the report continued. "(Max) had been told in the past not to ride his scooter in the hallway."

http://www.cbs8.com/story/15388199/autopsy-rebecca-zahau-found-gagged-with-t-shirt-in-mouth

Wasn't yesterday's press conference supposed to clarify and wrap up all the loose ends?

a towel and a "red spot" was found outside the guest room with the balcony. Did RN get the message, hopped up, took a shower......was surprised and chased from the Master down the hall?

One article said, "ocean" was the last thing MS said. The reason for boarding?

I have not said this and feel bad for thinking this but....

RN seemed to be the driver (picking AS up from airport; taking sister to airport); nanny; cook; arm candy......I think the whole relationship was off from the start......RN was thrilled to be a part of AS's life....no matter what role she had to play.....she had come a long, long way from her previous life.....but what was it really like living with JS? Did the older kids treat her like "hired help"? Was the grass not really greener.....I think she knew things that were not good for the Shacknai family.....

Whether she was murdered or drove to commit suicide......she has been silenced...

FOREVER.....

Now they can pick up their lives and go on...but RN will haunt them

FOREVER

Let me get this straight:

Now that we’ve all been brainwashed into believing that it’s not so peculiar for a woman to commit suicide with hands and feet bound, naked and outside; then let’s add gagged, jumped/hanged execution style, and message written in paint and in the 3rd person.

Ok - yea, that makes more sense to me that it was suicide. :crosseyed:

I agree and to add to that some things that are bothering me ..
The message on the door. I've seen two versions. "she saved him can HE save her' and "she saved him can YOU save her" Anyone know which it is? I see two different interpretations.

AS quoted by another poster, Oceanblueeyes, I think ..
And she used black paint from a tube which is more like an artist type paint. I wonder if she was an artist and this was one of her hobbies?

Her sister indicated on Dr. Drew that she was an artist and did NOT sign her name in block style letters.

Why no mention of the scooter in regards to MS's fall. The sure makes more sense to me that he was riding it in the hallway upstairs, perhaps ran into the dog and was flung over the banister.

Maybe these have been addressed further down. I'm just catching up.

If he was riding on a scooter and went over the railing, how did the scooter end up on top of him? Maybe they couldn't come up with a model to fit that scenario?

Okay, I give up. In my gut I feel that she felt guilty about his accidental death, and she was angry that JS was seeming to blame her. I think her suicide was done in pain and anger and meant to hurt JS as well. But it is hard to share those opinions here without feeling attacked.

Your opinions have always been well expressed and not inflammatory in any way, please don't be dissuaded from sharing them.

Your opinion is also supported by evidence. If she DID committ suicide, then she was feeling guilt AND anger, IMO. To me, the anger would explain how she did it and the cryptic message, trying to lash out at JS and maybe cause him to be the subject of an investigation, or maybe just cause him more pain.

Oh yea, I forgot to add:

So, now we're to believe that RN supposedly called her niece: her "daughter", when describing to the doggie camp guy that her "daughter" was also injured in the accident with MS. ?? :crosseyed:

ETA: Or maybe not, GS could have been injured in the same accident with MS and RN's niece could have been injured later while cleaning up the chandelier as I believe the Z family or attorney stated. ??? :crosseyed:

Maybe the dog camp guy was confused? But why did the family lawyer claim that Max's siblings were in the house? That appears to be false based on the most recent info.

IF any relative of RN was present when MS accident occurred, then they know the truth. So, LE & RNs family know exactly who was in the home.

  • #657
So Michael Baden has weighed in and supports LE's conclusions. Said they did a "first rate" job. Also said they have likely held back more evidence and just revealed what was necessary to support their finding. What I am wondering is, what contrary info did they also decide to hold back, so as not to muddy the waters. I've got a lot of respect for Baden's skills and opinions. He works both for and against official LE over the course of his career; seems to have no dog in this fight (but he is the best money can buy, as they say). Signonsandiego touts him as a member of the OJ Simpson defense team; but we all know how that one turned out......

Hanging would have prevented her from screaming even without a gag in her mouth.

It wouldnt have prevented her from screaming on the way down though.

Maybe she thought that would be dishonoring Max.

Although trying to get into the mind of a suicidal person is like trying to read tealeaves.

Good question about the scooter. Without a broken banister I would think it would remain upstairs. Oh my! SO many questions. This case should not have been closed. I totally agree with her family.
