I just can't see anything in any of this that screams so angry, despondent, or whatever that Rebecca would commit suicide directly after a call from the hospital.

They only mention the last call. What about all her calls and texts and VM's made and received that day and evening. All should have been studied to evaluate state of mind, goings ons, general activity surrounding RN on her last day on earth. And as to that last VM: who's to say that it wasn't a message that.....someone was being sent over to collect something, and Rebecca should let them in. Voila, Entry. The hypothetical killer could then have had his will once in the house and suitably subduing RN, and probably also know he would need to erase that VM.

Exactly, thats what I read too. So, the Wed am phone call was not to say that MS had died.

There is an "officially" died after life support was turned off and the moment it was realized there was no hope.

So you believe that Jonah got so upset just then and didn't really realize the situation was already dire. Hmmm, well, I wonder if he really was very very angry. Maybe Dina was very very angry also. Did Jonah phone his brother to tell him. I guess no one said.

I am sorry if I came off snarky. Guess I am feeling a bit defensive about my position here. I know it is a very unpopular one.

I am sure he already knew it was dire. But a parent would hold onto the slightest shred of hope, but hearing he was brain dead, and asking if his organs could be donated has to put someone in a tailspin. Up until then he was asking for her to bring a change of clothes and some lunch, from what I read. So he may have been fine towards her at first.

But, imo, this would have been devastating and shocking news. And he was sitting in the ICU with his ex, who HATED RN already. She must have been seething by that time. And sorry, but he had to have wondered why she was not watching him more closely by the time he sat and reflected.

And reportedly DS had banned RN from coming to the hospital. I would have done the same thing in her shoes probably.

Wednesday was when they were apparently told he was brain dead. GS put that 'RIP MAXIE' on her FB that day, IIRC.

Very good point. Lifting the bed to put a pre-tied rope (as some have suggested) around the leg would be tough for a 100 pound woman. And I would think that moving the bed away from the wall would be even harder for such a petite woman.

You would not need to lift the bed to tie the rope to it. All you need to do is put the loop thru one side, put the other end of the rope thru the loop and pull. Easy. I was under the impression the bed came away from the wall with the force of the jump.

Well,it may have been LE splitting hairs. In other words, when the EMT and the cops arrived, there was only RN and her 13 yr old sis/niece present. [ I still see conflicting reports about which one.]

HOWEVER, it may have been true that right before the accident, GS and another sibling or friend MAY HAVE been present. Maybe when RN went into the shower there were 3 older kids in the home. And when she got out after hearing the crash there was just her niece left there.

But there were initial reports that GS was there but left before the EMT's arrived. Which was a real red flag for me.

And MAYBE the older kids were goofing around and planking and Maxie saw them and tried it himself? :rose:

I don't know how much clearer LE could be, they have said at the time of Maxie's fall, there were only two people in the house, RN's sister and herself. RN was in the restroom, the sister in the shower. RN found Maxie, and the sister called 911.

The siblings may have been staying at the house but that means nothing if they weren't there when Maxie fell. Jonah wasn't there, either and we really haven't been given details of his morning itinerary. Technically, he also left the house before EMT's arrived.

I know they looked at JS and DS's cell records. And they looked at the hospital tapes to see if and when they left the ICU unit. IF one of them sent a hit man over to the mansion then I think LE would have seen some communication w/someone like that. there are not many people you can call and ask to go to your house and kill your gf. Maybe he has a bodyguard or someone who could do that for him. But I wonder if he would send someone while his brother was staying in the house? Seems risky that he could have been blamed.

So I keep coming back to DS. But does she know anyone who can immediately go and do her the favor of killing her ex's girlfriend? Maybe.

YES, but the boys on the roof of the backside neighbors told a reporter that GS was there as well, and she left before the EMTS arrived. So I am going to keep an open mind about their statement,because I think they may be telling the truth.

And LE maybe left her name out becuase when they ARRIVED on the scene, she was not there. And maybe RN never told them GS was there either.

Family with injured patient in ICU do leave to go to get food, cry, shower, lie down for a bit, comb their hair, make phone calls, stretch their legs. They did not stay in the ICU room from Monday till Saturday when organs procured.

Theory Only: If an older sibling was involved in Max's accidental death, and JS knew it was the sibling, he would have probably not blamed Rebecca overly so but instead have been focused on protecting his own child. Rebecca was assisting Jonah at the hospital and DS was blaming Rebecca for Max's passing. Rebecca was increasingly upset about not being able to go to the hospital and be supportive of her future husband. She got tired of being blamed and told Jonah she was going to tell the truth. That's when it got ugly and she was sacrificed and silenced.

I am not accusing anybody - just trying to hammer out a theory - not even an opinion.

There was some claim, perhaps by LE, that the note was written left handed when Rebecca is right handed. Personally, I can't see a desperately suicidal person leaving that kind of note, let alone the laborious part of painting it in block print. Also, block printing is probably not as easy to identify has handwriting, but I'm not an expert.

I can only see one reason for possibly writing a note w/your left hand, and making it seem weird. And for setting up the hanging the way she did. I think she may have wanted it to look like a murder. I think she was really angry at DS and at JS. If so, her plan may still be working. People are still suspicious of them perhaps being the killers.

But according to the medical info we have received, about the spinal injury and the massive head trauma,it was known pretty quickly that he was not coming back. I think the parents would be getting the overall picture after a couple of days.imoo

The only thing LE might know for sure as to who was in the house when paramedics arrived. And even then they wouldn't really know-it's a big house.

I read somewhere (can't find it now) that RN did some painting and didn't sign her signature in 'block letters'......I'm not sure how that ties into the 'message' on the door.

But if you were writing on the door, would you take the time to do block lettering? I know I wouldn't. I may print, but not in block lettering. To me, block lettering in 'manly'.

The blue shirt - the arms were wrapped three times around her neck and then double knotted - and put over the rope. This tells me it was an after-thought. She would have had to wrap and gag herself before she put her hands behind her back and after she had the rope around her neck. Was it her shirt?

For those of you that have knowledge about suicides, is it usual for so many things to be done before the actual act is complete?

listened to voicemail (did she try to call the person back???)
go get rope out of garage
go to kitchen and get 2 knives - why 2 - either one looked like they would cut the rope
cut 3 pieces of rope - 1 for hanging - 1 for hands - 1 for ankles
get black tube of paint
get 2 paintbrushes
block print message
tie ankles
tie hands
get blue shirt - wrap 3 times around neck and double knot

I was so hopeful that LE was going to be so much more informative. They all appeared very nervous and/or arrogant. They were not well prepared. I guess I expected so much more........

When people decide on suicide and start planning, their mood can 'lift' because they now have a clear way out of their pain. Every step they have to make in order to complete the suicide eases the hell they're in.

My friend jumped off the Bloor Viaduct here in Toronto. She had obviously planned for months - taking care of her investments, buying gifts for people, tied up loose ends...so many details. I saw her a few hours before she died. The next day was garbage day. She was taking out her trash.

Someone told me that they sometimes will do 'busy work' before the act as a way of stalling to see if something, someone, will somehow intervene. Or another solution will magically present itself.

The point is that RN committed suicide before family told that MS would not recover. Looks like GS not aware till Friday, since that is when she made her post. And the family opted to donate organs at that time, with public announcement that weekend. Makes you think doctors did not declare MS brain dead until Thursday. RN committed suicide just after Tuesday midnight - she was making plans to go to hospital to see JS. Suggesting she was still optimistic. So, this just goes along with her family concerns that doesn't add up.... But, as many point out and what LE believe, RN decided to commit suicide. Maybe she was acting optimistic to her family because she did not want to say the truth - that things did not look good- as she felt shame since this happened under her care. Although, freak accident.

You're saying LE lied when they stated who was present in the house at the time of Maxie's fall and I don't buy it. Sorry. They were quite clear about it. RN and her sister were not still in bathrooms when they arrived.

The boys on the roof were also on the roof on Monday? I doubt it. Besides, Maxie fell INSIDE the house so their claim they witnessed somebody being present is pretty lame.

I'll stick with LE's report of who was present in the house at the time Maxie fell. I also have no reason not to believe that GS departure from San Diego was planned well in advance of Maxie's fall.

She WAS making plans to goto the hospital. But according to the Z family attorney she was BANNED from the hospital by DS. That had to hurt.

And I am about 98% positive that JS already knew by Tuesday that his son was brain dead. His injuries were very severe, and it may take the ICU team a couple of days to make the final statements, but they know if the case is hopeless. I bet that the family was beginning to get that bleak picture already by Tuesday. His spinal fracture was a death sentence from the moment he landed.

GS was in Coronado until Monday morning, when she returned to her South Carolina home, Prchal said. She was gone by the time emergency crews responded to calls that her brother had fallen near the mansion's grand interior staircase.

Snipped... His statement to the media does not mean GS was there when Max fell. The "she was gone by" statement IMO does not mean GS witnessed the fall and was immediately whisked away from the scene.

Stella 5---Probably true. The only thing... why did Rebecca say her "daughter" was injured too - per Dog camp man. Or do you think she said "sister" and he mispoke since the sister was cut cleaning things up? Initially, many thought she was referring to GS (since she referred to MS as "son").
