As Sheriff Bill Gore stated, under California law autopsy reports are a matter of public record.

Full release of information beyond scientific findings is not mandatory. Throughout the 90 minuted press conference, Gore stated there were things of a personal nature he would not divulge.

This may well have been at the request of either or both family's.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh I bet there are some things that he will not divulge.:woohoo:

"shoddy" autopsy!

I don't think it is fair for us to publicly accuse the ME of accepting bribes or being corrupt. imoo

I gave my opinion, it is what it is.

Straightening my tin foil hat and going to my happy place, but I just have to say....

I mean NO disrespect and this is pure speculation, but what if the clothing in the second bedroom was AS's? I mean after a rough day, why not fix your makeup, put on something pretty and relax sipping some vodka?

IDK, maybe, maybe not.

He said he did try to give CPR and that's why he loosened the ropes. So yeah, you'd think he'd be up close and personal enough to leave some DNA there. Although if rigor mortis had set into her jaw, you'd think he wouldn't have tried for long.

But I have trouble believing he didn't leave any DNA whatsoever when he cut her down. Guys usually don't have smooth hands, esp. if they work outside.

So you've got one hand gripping a fiber-y rope hard so you don't drop her when you cut through it... and probably another hand that immediately dropped the knife to grab hold of her as soon as the rope was cut...

Did he hold her away from his body as he held her and laid her down in the grass? And do it all without breaking a sweat?

Oh yeah, plus he untied some of the ropes apparently too. So his hands would have been wrestling a bit with the rope to undo the knots...

I guess anything's possible but again, it just seems hard to believe that not a single speck of his DNA was found.

I'm not saying he didn't cut her down and do all this, mind you. But I think it's likely they just didn't look very hard to find other DNA.

The autopsy report says NOTHING about AS loosening ANY of the ropes. It plainly states that he cut her down with a kitchen knife and attempted CPR after removing the t-shirt from her mouth. It does not say anywhere that he loosened any of the ropes or knots.

OK, seriously, the ME can't tell whether she had an IUD or it was her time of the month? Really?

Sister has said numerous times they asked LE about the blood and it was not her time of the month.

And like others have said, if it was, that thoroughly diminishes the odds she would commit suicide nude.

A totally weird question, but any chance she could have been pregnant and miscarried from all the stress that night?

You'd think that's something they would have double-checked but I'm not feeling confident about their reporting here...

She had an uterine polyp. They will cause bleeding outside of your menstrual cycle. There WAS and IUD in place, it was identified in the report. It says her endometrium was smooth and red-purple, which would indicate she was not on her menstrual cycle.

[ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endometrial_polyp"]Endometrial polyp - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:Polyp.Uterus.jpg" class="image"><img alt="" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/f/f0/Polyp.Uterus.jpg/230px-Polyp.Uterus.jpg"@@AMEPARAM@@en/thumb/f/f0/Polyp.Uterus.jpg/230px-Polyp.Uterus.jpg[/ame]
Where they occur, symptoms include irregular menstrual bleeding, bleeding between menstrual periods, excessively heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia), and vaginal bleeding after menopause.[2][5] Bleeding from the blood vessels of the polyp contributes to an increase of blood loss during menstruation and blood "spotting" between menstrual periods, or after menopause.

This is the exact quote, and it was by Dana Gary, Medical Examiner Investigator. The report wasn't written until 8/21/11.

From page 2 of 3 of the Investigative Narrative:

After reading and rereading this statement, I believe that they are saying that one bedroom of the guest house had the women's clothing and make up remover wipes - not the main house. Which only puts a crazier spin on all this. If that was not what they meant, they should have phrased this better. Didn't they question why there would be women's clothing in the guest house?? Was the woman TG allegedly saw on the 12th ever verified or identified? Also, AS found RZ at 6:30am, but the Medical Examiner and the Medical Examiner Investigator did not arrive at the scene until 7:14PM.

Another stark difference in the report is that bedroom 1 of the guest house is described as containing a suitcase and no other details...not even mention of a bed, whether made or unmade, was the suitcase open, closed, no mention of anything unpacked. As if the room were empty with the exception of a suitcase. There was much more detail in the description of bedroom 2.

And more description than we got of the whole mansion. Would it really have been so hard to put one or two more lines in to clarify?? Must have been that time crunch. :maddening:

Jonah Shacknai Hired Private Investigator After Son And Girlfriend’s Deaths

In the days after Jonah Shacknai's son, Max, and girlfriend, Rebecca Zahau died, he hired a private investigations firm

"Jonah hired the security firm because he didn't have a grasp on what had happened and he was concerned about the sudden deaths of those close to him," a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com.

Kinda sounds like JS may have thought he might be next........

Well, with what we have been told so far "we don't have a grasp on what happened" either......

I wonder if DS feels threatened in anyway?

I sure would like to hear a report about how Ocean is. Why would you need a PI to pick up your dog? Like he is gonna give a report? Did they call the Dog Whisperer too?

  • #271
That certainly is interesting info, considering the sister said he right away was telling family this was a suicide.

That is another possibility. She was 14 and i bet she wore make up at that age. And she did not get along with RN supposedly. And the guest house is right alongside the main house. It is not any more or less dangerous than living in the main house. And apparently, less so.

Let me see - You have female clothing on the floor in one room and a naked woman dead in another room.

Could a well-bound RZ have been placed/forced on the balcony and doubled over the railing?

Could that conveniently long rope from the ankle binding have been grasped by a gloved hand, pulled and lifted sending RZ over the balcony railing?

Could the above have been done by the perp without setting foot on the balcony?

  • #274
It's a small balcony. There is one boot print supposedly from a police officer very close to the railing. Unless this was a one legged police officer, or he was hopping on one foot, he probably put one foot on the balcony and got close to the railing right away. So, theoretically speaking, I suppose it would be possible to throw something off the balcony without actually stepping onto the balcony.

Does anyone know the souce of the rope, paint, and brush? Were they items belonging to the household? Where is the tape that had been on her legs at some point?

In the police presentation it said the rope was 'possibly' from the garage. I would like to know what other 'possibility' they considered. Possibly unknown? Possibly some other room?

You Websleuthers have awesome powers of observation and intelligent theorizing.

Here's a great big THANK YOU!

Rebecca's body lay on that lawn in full view of the neighbors and the hovering news copters for how many hours? You would think that someone (AS, EMT's. first police on scene, a sheriff's investigator) would have covered her up. Weeks ago I surmised based on this leave her naked exposed in the sun for how long attitude that these professionals are lucky to have come to any conclusions about anything. :(

"On 7/13/11, at approximately 0630 hours, Adam exited the guest house into the courtyard area between the guest house and the main house. He immediately saw the decedent hanged by the neck with a rope attached to a second story balcony. Adam ran into the main house to get a knife, pulled a nearby wooden table to the decedent's body, stood on top, cut the rope and laid the decedent's naked body on the grass. He removed a blue cloth which had been in her mouth in an effort to perform CPR and at 0648 hours, placed a 9-1-1 call to request assistance. Coronado Fire Department arrived at 0653 hours and confirmed the death without ?intervention."

I understand that times are approximate, but did he really wait 18 minutes before calling 911?

If he actually had to get a table, go get a knife from the main house, get on table (when did the leg broke?), and try CPR, then it could take around 18 minutes to do all of this. Of course to save someone from hanging there is only 4-8 minutes window, and she was dead for hours before he discovered the body. She was already in rigor when paramedics arrived, so they can estimate time of death from that. It takes about four hours for the rigor to set in. Paramedics arrived about 7 am. That's how they estimated time of death at about 3 am. So she was long dead before he cut her down.

chasing.halo,

I have a question for DS....did AS visit the hospital when he first arrived....and any other time.....did AS and JS spend time alone?

Thanks so much..

score

All I know is that AS did go to the hospital right away. I do not know if he did later or if AS and JS spent time alone. If I find out I will let you all know.
