Glenview and Clairmont is a crater.

OMG. The reporter gave an address of 1120 Glenview Dr.that where the TV reporters are. The house is OK but down the road is where it all started.

Prayers for these people.

Looking at the area on Google Earth and OMG, these streets are of the kind where houses are literally on top of each other...

A childrens playground was right where the big blow up started.

TV news editor says that he is seeing a large PG&E pipe split open near the crater...

I wonder what in the world caused it???

This is absolutely horrible. I bet the fire fed back through the lines and into each house which had pilot lights! That's what it kinda looks like to me. I hate hate hate hate hate gas. Had a house once that the stove and the furnace were gas and I HATED IT!!! Scared me to death. But it seems in this case it wouldn't have mattered if you had it in your house or not - if the neighbor did.

I hope the people got out.

our local news is having excellent coverage.I cannot stop watching the coverage.
the last I heard they are saying that PG&E said they still cannot confirm it was from their equpiment, but if it is they will accept full responsibility.

Fairmont and Claremont are 2 hard hit streets and I think Vermont too.

53 homes burned at this time.

I wonder what in the world caused it???

A reporter just talked about how in Texas, in the past, a drought contributed to dry ground causing a pipe to crack and seep out pools of odorless gas until it was sparked... :(

Now they are reporting 53 homes burned...

50% contained at this time.

Probably crews in the area, laying sewer pipes. They are suppose for check for natural gas leaks with a detector. I think that is what my brother had said.

Good night....

Prayers for these people

They said earlier ground zero is c/o Glenview and Earl.

News conference is on now. Someone ask Fire Marshall is it true people smelled gas for over a week....OMG...He said he didn't know.
