What is the policy on rumors?

I'm seeing unconfirmed personal "my mom works at the hospital" posts on another forum with some unconfirmed information.

As well as unconfirmed gender ages of 2 kids shot.

We can't post rumors but if it's comments on a school or LE facebook page or comments below a MSM article, you can direct us to the page and just say "see comments" or "interesting comments".

San Bernardino School Shooting: Two Dead, Two Wounded in ‘Murder-Suicide’ in Classroom

Two adults, including a teacher, were killed and two students were wounded inside a San Bernardino, California, classroom Monday in what authorities were calling a murder-suicide shooting.

Authorities believe the children were near the female teacher at North Park Elementary School when the gunman entered the classroom and opened fire, Police Capt. Ron Maass said at a news conference.

Police do not believe the kids were targeted, Maass said.

"There was no indication the gun was visible upon his arrival at the school," Maass told reporters, referring to the gunman...

San Bernardino Police Capt. Ron Maass said the suspect had gone to the classroom to visit the female victim, who was an instructor. There is no indication the suspect's handgun was visible when he entered the school, Maass said.
The man signed in at the front office before going to the classroom, according to Maass.

Quoting myself to add that it concerns me that spouses are allowed into the classrooms. Teachers have to be fingerprinted and have their criminal records checked to teach. While I'm sure 99.9% of spouses are just fine, there is always the chance of 1 crazy being allowed in. Children are just too precious to allow people who shouldn't be in the classroom to be there. MOO

I had never put much thought into this but you are right. I know our public schools require background checks of anyone who comes into contact with the children, parents and volunteers included. I am sure the school my children went to will one day follow along with this, too. It is just sad that it needs to happen.

I didn't know that. This would be traumatic on any child, but these children may lack the ability to cope with day to day things let alone this. What a selfish horrible man!
