It also might not be hers. I've seen some weird things littering the streets and woods. A bikini top wouldn't be the weirdest.
That's my best guess too.

I took a more clear SS from the KRCR video if that would be more helpful.;

The "band" is not pink and white as in the first picture, so yeah lighting is a problem here. I just cannot find an example of any CSI using evidence tape that way.
Family & friends spoke out for some while about what happened, and then have not for some long while.SP has not spoken about what happened to the public at all, much less tried to profit from it. She seems to be living as a recluse, and rarely venturing out at all, even to pick up her kids from school.
I dont believe kidnappers give jackets away to their victims, but it shows compassion or possibly something else.

SABBM- I'd argue that theaccount and the anonymous donor were a way to profit from the situation. Whether the P's did, I do not know. Private donations could have also happened unbeknownst to us. And I would imagine that interviews, Lifetime movies and book deals could happen via phone or Skype pretty easily without her ever leaving the house. Again, not saying that's currently happening, just that it could and we won't know until the advertisements come out.
Especially not after chopping off her signature hair in an attempt to "shame" her. One of the women must have felt real bad about what had happened and was trying to make things right by allowing her to shower and releasing her clothed near where she could be easily found and rescued (possibly shooting the mean one too). Maybe they thought being nice would keep her from talking, if so, it seems to have worked.
I still believe this is a black object that CSI has bordered with pink ribbon/tape. CSI takes photos of each numbered evidence item, and they need for each item to show up well in the photo.
But notice how the black item blends in with the roadway. They put the pink around it so that the CSI photo would show the boundary of the object.

If it were a black glove as has been suggested, then surely they would have found DNA on it.
Since they have mentioned the other sources of DNA that they found, I can't imagine why they wouldn't have mentioned a glove at the abduction scene.
I can't find where this piece of evidence was ever identified in the media.
Either it isn't related or it is part of the 'investigation' that they are keeping quiet about.
To me, it feels like the only things LE stresses are the oddities in the case...without much emphasis on the crime aspect or any sense of urgency about the suspects. Just very weird.
Evidence tape is not used that way. Never. They use flags to mark it. They don't touch it with evidence tape. They especially don't create a border around an object with tape. That would be insane. Way too much handling involved and the possibility of DNA transfers, etc.
Evidence tape is clearly marked as such, with the words "EVIDENCE TAPE" and it is used to seal canisters and tubes of DNA, or bags that contain evidence, etc.

People Magazine has been with Sherri's story since the beginning. Did they pay KP for the interviews?
After further research, I have to concede your point. They would have used flags or maybe string but not ribbon or tape and certainly not bumping up against the evidence like that.
So now I had another thought. It's been suggested that it's a sports bra or a waist pouch. What about a detachable hoodie?
Have they interviewed KP?
