Not a wealthy family. Looks like they lived modestly.
Last night the page announced that it would be deleted this morning.

Do we know where the GoFundMe page's total is going?

If a ransom situation, extended family may figure into the equation. But they're not sleuthable at this point.

I think it is appalling that LE has released the "2 hispanic women" as culprits when the Sheriff is quoted as saying

"Shasta County Sheriff Tom Bosenko said that the description was based on 'voice recognition' - suggesting that Papini wasn't able to see her captors."

Uh...EXCUSE ME?? LE doesn't have a visual identification of Latinos but puts it out there based on Sherri hearing them talk only? Do you know how many white people(and other races) speak flawless Spanish? Or can adopt an English speaking Spanish accent? This is outrageous to me that at the very least they should have said this during the news conference that it was based on voice recognition. No offense to Sherri, but she's probably not a linguistic expert and this should never have gone out as 2 Hispanic women. In my opinion, that is prejudicial and extremely careless on LE's part not to make this fact more widely known.

Is the Help Find SP page down? I'm receiving a "No Content Available" notification.
I hope it's been taken down because some have been posting disgusting comments.

I'm interested in how Sherri seemed when she was found. Quoting from this article: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nat...ssing-calif-mom-waving-road-article-1.2887530

------
Alison Sutton, 43, said she was driving north on Interstate 5 near County Road 17 in unincorporated Yolo early Thursday when she glimpsed a clearly distressed blond woman in her headlights off to the right.

"When I saw her, it really startled me. She was really close to the road, like almost out in traffic," she told the Daily News.

"She had some piece of fabric in her hands and was waving it up and down. I'm thinking it was a shirt. She was waving it like a flag," she said.

"The woman I saw had long blonde hair and was not appropriately dressed for as cold as it was. She didn't have a jacket," she explained.

"She didn't look like she was hurt, but she did look scared. It was just the feeling that I got. It was just a really brief moment, and I was driving at freeway speed. It was dark. It was just luck that I saw her at all," she said.

"The way she was waving the fabric seemed frantic," Sutton recalled. "I realized if she was that close to getting hit — willing to be that close to freeway traffic — she must really need help."

[...]

Sutton said she couldn't tell if Papini was wearing any restraints when she saw her.

If it is correct she did not have a jacket, then she was not wearing the pink and grey running jacket she had on the day she went missing. I know some previous posts were wondering about that.

As for the restraints not being visible, perhaps they were something like zip ties? Or maybe since she was reported to be "chained to something" by police dispatch, perhaps only her feet were restrained and chain to something heavy so she could not run very far? I'm wondering if they really let her go or if they put her there to be picked up by someone else and the good Samaritans called the police before that could happen? Hope we get some more official info from LE soon.

Will arrests be made?

The only thing that makes any sense to me is that a ransom was paid. Otherwise, the law of averages would say she would not be released alive. Anyone vile enough to kidnap someone, especially in broad daylight, would not be taking the moral high road IMO and there would have been no motive to release her. I have read various accounts that alluded to Keith's parents being somewhat affluent but have nothing to back that up so consider it rumor.

Is that Facebook policy? Might have helped having further knowledge of the case desseminated, to further chances of solving.

How weird. If they were letting her go, why would they restrict her movement? Why would they care how far or where she ran? They obviously wanted her to be found or they would've let her off in the middle of nowhere. Not chained to something right near a road.
I don't get that.

Well, then there's the issue of housing another human being alive, for 3 weeks. I mean, logistically, that's a nightmare. Even if you are very rural, private property, etc. Can you imagine trying to keep a hostage for THREE WEEKS? When you really start to think about it, it's just crazy. There's more to this story. There has to be a personal connection somewhere.

It's really a miracle she's alive and home with her family. I hope they are able to heal from all of this.

I re-watched SP's sister speaking last night. Towards the end a reporter said he had been in contact with CG and asked, and that the ransom/reward money was going to the family. The reporter asked SK (sister) if it would be put forward for information leading to arrest(s) of the captors, SK said that would be up to SP and KP to decide.

ETA: Ignore me my head is on upside down today. 🤬🤬🤬 not ransom/reward

There must be a specific reason she was kept alive.
