It's been too long for an article of clothing, body part, etc... to have not come ashore or be visible on the surface had she fallen into the surf
So, just me, I'm moving on from that scenario

Do we know she intended to go hiking, or is that just what has been surmised based on the location of her vehicle and last ping of phone?

Trying to figure out if it's possible the "went hiking" angle is a red herring and some sort of foul play happened here.
