GUILTY CA - Thaddeus Sran, 2, has feeding tube, found deceased, Madera, 14 Jul 2020 *parents arrested*

I left for good in 2006, but I moved there as a baby in 1976. I went to John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and madera high north. my older sons went to John Adams until we moved.

My older sons’ grandparents still live on krest near town and country park. I grew up on riverview drive behind the cemetery across from the Fresno riverbed.

I know this is off topic. I get nostalgic sometimes. Look at my previous post for some crime history of madera lol. I used to work at madera county jail and my daddy retired from there too.

Yes, I currently live here. Poor little guy was found a few miles from me, makes me sick to my stomach! Avenue 14 runs behind our backyard and my child went to Howard Elementary (near where he was found). We love Madera, we left Fresno and settled here in Madera in 2009 because it's a smaller town with a small town feel. I'm heartsick this happened here, although I know crime happens everywhere and a loss like this is heartbreaking ANYWHERE I just never imagined it would happen here. Thaddeus needs justice, this should have never happened, not here, not anywhere! No excuse.

Adding another quote from the same article to see what type of neighborhood the house was in

Me and Emi discussed this earlier. It’s a total fluke that these two horrible crimes happened in that hood on that street. That hood isn’t bad. The further west you go in madera, the better. The south c street house was in a sketch location.

**MISSING ENDANGERED CHILD**
Two-year-old Thaddeus Sran went missing from his home on the 800 block of “C” Street between the hours of 10 p.m. last night and 8:30 a.m. this morning.
Thaddeus had a premature birth and has a feeding tube. He is also non-verbal and recently learned to walk. He needs special care and needs to be reunited with his family as soon as possible.

He was last seen wearing a red shirt and spiderman pants with a diaper underneath. He is approximately two feet tall and weighs 30 pounds.
We are investigating this as a possible abduction, and every possible lead is being explored. Madera County Sheriff’s Office, US Marshall’s, Federal Bureau of Investigations, and Madera County Probation are assisting with a search and investigation.

Details of this case are developing and we will update as we can. We are asking anyone who has any information regarding this case or has seen Thaddeus to please call us at 559-675-4220.
WHO: Two-year-old Thaddeus Sran, 2’, 30 lbs.
WHAT: Missing endangered child
WHEN: Between the hours of 10 p.m. 7/14 and 8:30 a.m. 7/15
WHERE: 800 block of C Street in Madera

I snipped the photos, please forgive me.

Was this child the biological child of the parents or was he a foster child or adopted? I'll catch up as quickly as I can but I can't help wondering because of children like Marcus Fiesel and too many others.

Interesting for sure. The house in which they were arrested (Winter Way) was about 4 miles from the house Thaddeus was reported missing from (800 block of C St), though. The neighborhoods appear to be starkly different, despite their close proximity. The house on Winter Way is reported to be Briseida Sran’s parent’s house, from which they moved into the house on C St. two weeks ago.

they are close but yet so far. Two different worlds in a small town. Winter way is not a bad area. It’s a coincidence about krista pike and maigen Olson crimes being right there in close proximity. South c street is a poor area. Low rent check cashing and a few small bars. Drugs and sex available and close to McNally park. It’s small town poor.

I saw this on the news last night and immediately knew something was not right with the initial story. I pray I’m wrong. :(

I know what you mean. Sometimes I get that awful feeling as soon as I hear the story. But every once in a while, there's a feeling of hope. So far all those hopeful ones had successful outcomes. While there are never enough hopeful ones, we have to remember that every once in a while we do hear good news. Just not this time.

As far as is known, that was their bio child

T. is playing with his baby sister now. Fly high, sweet babies. I'm sorry the worst possible outcome is what happened. I hope their siblings, including the baby who's coming soon, get to be raised together in a loving home.

For sure. I was a social worker for a non profit in Madera a few years back.

Why is this town constantly being referred to as a small town in this thread? Isn't Madera like 60K people?

He did. this is major case for this small town. It has had major cases before but this was a tiny child, that’s gotta be hard.

the other major cases I can remember off the top of my head were krista pike, the Juan uribe and chuck Durbin double murder in 1995, Richard speed Phillips in the 70’s and the chowchilla bus hijack in the 70’s. Oh and Jose Guerrero serial killer.

Oh yes, I remember the Krista Pike murder, and of course the Chowchilla kidnapping. My cousin lives down aways from that school in Dairyland.

I watched this- IMO way too chatty for an attorney- this combined with the press release earlier just make me wonder. Also he cannot represent both of them ethically- he says so in the video. ANOTHER reason for him to not be so chatty.

The attorney, having worked with them in the past (death of infant daughter and separate custody suit) cannot imagine they had anything to do with his death. He said they cared for the children so much. IMO- anyone can put on a good act- and it’s hard to imagine ANYONE burning a child!

It's a small town in comparison to Fresno. Fresno is 20 miles or so south of us. Madera is 61K and Fresno is 530K...pretty big difference.

All I can say is WHOA. MOO: Just jumping into this case but I feel like there is a whole lot of fuel here for ineffective assistance of counsel. I mean the media will adore him, he comes off as honest and forthcoming, but it feels like the truth keeps tumbling out of his mouth without much thought about the impact of his words on the case.

I just watched the attorney speaking and I agree he is way too chatty but he isn't really giving any information just talking in circles for the most part. He asks like he doesn't have a clue what is going on in this case. Did I hear him correctly when he said that the parents haven't been charged with anything formally yet? If they haven't been charged then why are they in jail now it doesn't make sense maybe I misunderstood.

They are in jail because they were arrested for murder.
The DA will bring formal charges against them and IMO it wont be just for murder. Lying to LE, hindering an investigation, abuse of a corpse might be a few more.

And he didn’t know if bail was still on the table or if they had set no bail... I mean words tumbling out of his mouth! I am not sure if he said anything to hurt the case (Was all that CPS stuff public? Usually those records are sealed, right? Was it strategic to just dump it all out now? Would some of it never have come out based on pretrial motions? That the husband called him after the unidentified body was found could look suspicious) but he certainly didn’t seem judicious with what he revealed.

Also just coming in to this case.

JMO, the attorney may have been effective counsel for the dependency hearing in 2015. But these charges are far more serious, based on what I heard in his press conference (which is odd at this stage to begin with), they need different representation for sure.

Will they prosecute them together in this case?

I would be surprised if they prosecute them together, I think this is going to be a case of he said she said. IMO they will not stand united in this case.

Because that is small for California. Lol I remember one time my friend from Arkansas was like well that’s not small. It’s small for here. There are smaller tho.

They have not, they haven’t gone before the judge yet.
