GUILTY CA - Thaddeus Sran, 2, has feeding tube, found deceased, Madera, 14 Jul 2020 *parents arrested*

  • #61
A frantic search is under way in California for a special-needs two-year-old boy who went missing from his family's home on Tuesday night.

Officials with the Madera Police Department have said they were investigating Thaddeus Sran's disappearance as a possible abduction and noted that the child could be in danger.

Thaddeus, who is non-verbal and has a feeding tube, was last seen at 10pm on Tuesday at his family's home in the 800 block of C street. He was reported missing the following morning after his parents woke up at 8.30pm to find their child gone.

I’m sorry but I just don’t believe a random stranger decided to go in through a window and abduct a child with such obvious special needs. I’m sure LE wants video of the area but not necessarily for that reason, to see who took Thaddeus out a window in the middle of the night.

Like others here, I’d like to know when someone other than family is known to have seen Thaddeus.

One more thought, I understand from other posters that some children with feeding tubes might sleep that long (10 hours was it?) but most adults don’t. I check on my dogs if I haven’t seen or heard one in awhile, the cat, too. Surely it would be habit to peek in his room on arising in the morning.

How often would Thaddeus have to be fed? At that age I would think more frequently than 10 hours?

I can only speak from my experience with my son when he was 2 years old he had to have his tube feedings every 4 hours and go no more than 6 hours in the event of an emergency such as a power outage where his pump would not be able to function. However, I have heard of some children that can tolerate feeding continuously all night long and not have to be fed during the day. If that was the case then maybe they connected him to his feeding pump and put him to bed for the night. That still wouldn't explain how a random abductor would be able to get in through a window, know how to turn off his pump and disconnect the tubing without being heard. It just seems a little far fetched for me to believe that happened. Sadly I feel like with an Amber Alert not being issued police don't believe that to be the case either.

Are there no other/better photos available of Thaddeus? The two provided in the first post seem to not be from the same time period or at least the first photo isn't as recent. His hair has grown quite a bit and he looks older in the 2nd photo that was provided. It could just be angles of the photos or his expressions, but in the first photo his face looks more baby-like whereas in the 2nd photo, he looks more toddler-like.

Thankyou! Yes, that photo looks to be much more recent.

Why would LE use (what appears to be) an old photo I wonder?

I'm not sure why those other photos were used it doesn't make sense to me but then again nothing about this makes sense at this point. I wish we could get some kind of updated information I keep checking but there is nothing new being released. I just want answers this little boy reminds me so much of my son and I'm taking it personal I have to know what happened here.

Plus, IIRC, they were new to the neighborhood (sorry no link).

Would someone have been scoping out new neighbors w/a special needs child so they could kidnap him??? Doesn't make sense......jmo

My son was six when he had tube feedings and did one continuous feed during the night. But yeah, I totally agree that the stranger abduction scenario doesn't sound quite right. It would have taken a bit of time - plus making some noise and turning on some lights - for someone to abduct this child from his bedroom.

I wonder if LE has searched their old address/neighborhood? Depending on how recent the move was...I recall reading that they just moved also.

Thank you for the information Dylansmom08. I thought unthread someone had said every 4 hours but I wasn’t sure if I was remembering correctly.

I have looked over the comments on the facebook posts from LE and I found no answers just more questions. Like wonder if they have searched around the house they just moved from and if they have searched the phones of the parents for information or tried to get cell tower records?

MADERA, California (KSEE/KGPE) — Authorities in Madera continue to search for 2-year-old Thaddeus Sran early Friday morning.

Thaddeus went missing Wednesday morning.

According to police, they’ve received numerous requests from the community to form search teams they said they appreciate the willingness to help, police said they have enough law enforcement personnel to support and cover the search area and ask the community to continue to pray for Thaddeus’ safe return.

As others have noted, I’d like confirmation of when he was last seen by people other than the parents/adults. Any siblings also living there? Why did they move?
