To say that I'm excited about them finding Jane Doe's jaw bones is an understatement.
Over the past two months, I've posted this Jane Doe in more than 100 missing persons groups on Facebook. These groups are based in Mexico, United States, Ecuador, Colombia, Guatemala, and specified regions in these countries. I had someone translate the post to Spanish for me so I could post it to the groups based in Spanish-speaking countries.
When I say I posted it in more than 100 groups, I don't mean that I just posted it 100 times. After all those posts, I found the post that was most successful and shared it once more to all of the missing person's groups. A few weeks ago, a family member of a missing person kept seeing my posts and after doing some research, they strongly believe our Jane Doe might be their loved one. I've been helping the family as needed with contacting agencies, etc, But it is going to be a long process before we find out if their missing loved ones and this Jane Doe are one in the same because of the amount of time it will take to extract DNA from Jane Doe's jaw bones.
EDIT: I'll post updates about Jane Doe's jaw bones as appropriate but will not be posting about the missing person because of confidentiality.
