I don't see the wanted picture in that link. It's not in the video, and it doesn't seem to be listed in the photos.
That appears to be a CTV photo, and the link that was provided is to the National Post.

Maybe to really confuse investigators? He travelled to Richmond to hide from police, why choose Richmond? I wonder if he travelled to BC over the years since moving back to AB.

He moved to Vancouver and used a false identity to avoid prison. He probably chose Vancouver because it is the nearest large city to Calgary. He left Vancouver 15 years ago, and I'm sure a lot has changed in that time. I can't see him driving two days (back and forth) with three bodies in the back of a pickup truck to hide those bodies when he already lives in a rural area and there are many secluded places to hide a body near home ... like the 45 minute drive to the mountains.

When I saw him via CCTV in court I estimated him to be about 5'6" or 5'7" and about 65kg.

Can't be right. He is definitely small in stature. Roughly my size in height and weight. I am 5'7" and 132 lbs

Yeah, I didn't think he was average either (5'9ish) I thought I heard/read he is on the smaller size (for men) somewhere.

I have been looking at the most wanted poster a few times today. That was quite the list of charges. I wonder who DG did his criminal deeds with back in the Richmond area. I wonder if he still had a property or hiding place he could access in BC. I believe it was 4 days before LE contacted him as POI. He could have made it out to the lower mainland and back easily. It was a long weekend so traffic would have been heavy but also a good time to blend in and keep the speed to a minimum. Hmmmm....

I wonder if he has any BC contacts also, if he was doing any under the table shipping, Vancouver would be a good destination. Hard to tell with his 'loner' descriptions, but he must've known someone somewhere to unload that semi tractor trailer to.

Why would the accused drive 12 hours to dispose of bodies when there are so many secluded places near his home?

I asked this many moons ago (or at least two moons); who were DG's buyers and/or his fence for stolen goods? How did he connect with them on the Coast? Who is his point man in Alberta and B.C?

If he was making LSD, I can't see him heading off to Grateful Dead concerts to sell a sheet.

Though it could explain his oddness if he were the testing of his wares type.

Exactly! He must know someone somewhere to ship to/hand off he drugs he made to, and also that semi tractor. I believe his old drug lab was described as 'sophisticated' so definitely not doing it for himself in small quantities I'm assuming.

I guess it doesn't specify that he was actually 'driving' it (which requires a special license), I wonder if he was 'living' in the trailer in the bushes or something. I wonder how he obstructed a police officer (as opposed to 'resist arrest').

Okay, so I googled "douglas garland" "matthew hartley" and two poster images come up in google images. These are the links connected to them. Looks like they might've been used in the video, but I haven't watched to check. I've also tried finding the original archived version all over, but can't find.

Maybe he tried to stop the officer from searching a vehicle or his home for obstruction? Or not providing information when asked, or is it physical obstruction?

I think the image is a copy of the wanted poster. Why would CTV use french language for 'Captured'? I still see this as 180cm. About the eye color... Why are these mistakes being made? Would they not verify this information before releasing to the public? Height and weight would be recorded during arrest and fingerprints so did they make a mistake here too? I wonder how many mistakes and invalid facts will come out in the current investigation. Where were his parents to verify his appearance? Did they supply false info.?

His height appears to be 160cm and weight 79kg
That translates to 5'3" and 174lbs

I see 180 cm on the poster which is 5' 10" and a bit. I am sure this is inaccurate either way. At the very most, I would estimate 5' 9". Weight wise, I suppose height is a factor. If he is 5' 10" then he could well be 79 kg. The guy has no excess weight on him at all, he is really lean and not a robust, strapping man by any means.

Yes, I have. He is nuts, as opposed to ADHD. I used the term "nuts" and provided a link to the definition of Antisocial Personality Disorder, also known as sociopath ... meaning that's what I mean by nuts. Sociopaths are not illogical.

The info on the poster was recorded in 1992, when Garland was 32 years old. His parents have nothing to do with it.
