CANADA Canada - Audrey Gleave, 73, Ancaster ON, 30 Dec 2010 #10

How on earth did I miss this years ago:

He’s the one neighbours say did odd jobs around the retired schoolteacher’s house. He’s also the same person who found the 73 year old on Thursday morning. As Amanda Blitz reports, police now seem to be targeting their investigation at a homeless man who was spotted in the area. (OK, we all knew this part).

There is an all too familiar scenario here. In the last four months, three women have been viciously attacked in their own homes drawing striking similarities.

At this time, I'm still leaning towards it being the same person. Why? It's someone who is capable of getting away with three vicious assaults on women and NOT getting caught. Unless he committed suicide right after Audrey's murder. JMO

Have LE investigated all male suicides in the area around that timeframe? Or, is he just one lucky guy?

And Shelley Loder was attacked in her photography studio on her home property. 3 women all in fairly close temporal and geographical proximity. Shelley survived her attack, but her injuries by all accounts were severe.
If DNA linked these crimes, I expect LE would be compelled to tell us (even as I'm sure they have holdback info of other kinds). But still I have this persistent thought that these cases are connected.....

All these years later, I may be misremembering, but I have in my mind that Shelley's husband was a nurse (or training to be one -?); I barely recall wondering on threads and in my own mind if there may have been some nursing connection between Shelley and Sonia's cases (like a disgruntled patient-type scenario; what if Glenn rather than Shelley was the target for harm, etc.). Were Shelley and Glenn acquainted in any way with Sonia?
But, again, I have forgotten many of the old details and this could be one of them. I also often believe Audrey's case is connected to Sonia's and Shelley's, so the nursing question doesn't really seem to apply there......
IS there anything more substantive that connects these 3 women/cases together?
It's devestating that none of these 3 is solved.
Bumping for justice for Audrey -- and for Shelley and Sonia also.

I've wondered for all of these years if the Loder's were friends with/acquaintances of Sonia. But now I'm thinking NO because that leaves Audrey out of the picture. I don't believe in coincidences and these three women being brutally attacked/murdered in the space of a few months in Southern Ontario is farfetched. To think that there are three individuals who have gotten away with these crimes, apparently unscathed and never found is beyond belief. JMO

Have we ever had a full description of Shelley's crime scene? I'm wondering how bloody it might have been given that the attack was deemed "brutal" as Audrey's and Sonia's were.

We have seen photos of just how much blood was spilled in Sonia's home and surroundings. We also were told that Audrey's crime scene was one of the worst a seasoned police officer had ever seen.

I'm wondering if we actually do have the full picture of Audrey's crime scene. Could it be worse than we've been led to believe? And Shelley's as well.

Adding Shelley's thread from WS:

What connects these three women:
- Southern Ontario
- brutal attacks
- on home property
- no forced entry ( do we know this of Shelley's attack?)
- nothing stolen
- cars involved or near the victim (I'm assuming Shelley had a car as she lived way out in Mono)
- death was intended (Shelley's attacker was stopped by someone arriving home)
- easy to get way from the scene on highways to his home town
- there's a Mark's Work Warehouse in every town in Ontario
- two attacks in the month of December 2010
- NO ONE HAS BEEN CAUGHT
