Was going back through some things on Tori's case last night, and while snooping around FB, was surprised to see the surname Loder crop up on JG's friends list. The L surname person lives in Brantford (canada411 shows 5 in Brantford), so was wondering if some of the Brantford folks are related to Shelley and Glen.

PS: canada411 also shows 15 more Ls in Hamilton

Slight correction: Canada 411 shows 0 Ls in Hamilton (seems to say 15 but these are names close to that one - correct me if I am wrong).

Oh no .. you are right Chorley. Thanks ! I obviously just looked at the top line and didn't realize that NONE of the results were for Loder. (Why on earth would canada411 do that? If I wanted Loaders and Luders, etc .. i would have asked !!)

Anyway, your correction makes it more intriguing.

Hoping everyone sticks around to keep the quest for Audrey's killer alive!
The trouble is there are so many contenders for that wicked role, yet only "auditioned" a few.Cast a wider net?

Worth trying and worth doing but who and where? Maybe to begin with think of "types" of unknowns I can think of:

1. young perp or perps from the high school I mean in Ancaster - perhaps with a troubled background but nothing that would lead anyone to suspect participation in crime against Audrey.

2. someone from her Westdale years again we can imagine someone off the radar - I have given my "The Conformist" idea before (from the film) where an ex-student calls up the teacher and requests a meeting. In the film political general motive could be that here or personal. For example students call up old teachers for references - or they have moved on to a career but need a trusted teacher's opinion on something... they could say they are making a film and want the teacher's participation - not sure how Audrey would react to this though.

3. someone from the world of the husbands and thus a motive unknown to us - the reason we cannot dismiss this is 1. husband's uncle's work with LE in Hamilton possibly still relevant IMO 2. Gleaves possibly living in Ancaster and Hamilton still relatives? 3. above all the murder premonition.

4. someone she met taking courses playing bridge coffee klatch. Interesting that scientists East European Middle Eastern playing bridge with her?

5. organized government (if so which?) hit I wish I was kidding. Possibly relating to Chalk River or some enquiry she was making. Could be wrong but I can imagine Audrey enjoying "finding someone out" proving the system rotten etc.

6. P.K. unwittingly a spy on Audrey - he was encouraged to take the job, from a friendship - "she would be a good mentor" etc. At times to be sure there are things that seem a bit elaborate.

Can anyone add or substract from this? Dotr's idea to expand our search is a good one but in what direction and how?

7. Someone from occult group interested in people living beside cemeteries.

8. Someone hiding an earlier crime e.g. the Susan Cadieux murder with relation possibly buried next door as per an earlier post I made.

OT, sort of- but on this gloomy day hoped no one would mind a slight revisiting and caution about" unsexy stretchy pants" (hey I like my Luls and lols) too! ...

http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/story/2013/03/19/business-lululemon-recall.html

"LuLulemon Athletica has taken its black yoga pants off the shelves because the sheer material reveals too much.

The Canadian company said that it took the pants off its store shelves and website over the weekend. That means there will be a temporary shortage of its black Luon pants and crops.

The company said that it is not sure why the pants are so sheer since they haven't changed the materials used, or changed manufacturers, but it is talking them to find out what happened during the time the fabric was made"

CE was 15 years old when he committed this crime....

"Christopher Ellacott, now 45, was convicted by a jury in April 2012, but a publication ban prevented his name from being published until now.

Ellacott was a high school student when he murdered 70-year-old hairdresser Velma Thomson in 1983"

FEB 21 2012 article.
The phone calls (a warning, testing imo) remind me of Audrey's mailbox getting broken repeatedly...wondering if she had any obscene calls too?

http://www.petroliatopic.com/2012/02/21/obscene-call-upset-murder-victim

During the visits, it appeared Thomson had been "thrown for a loop," Brands said, by an obscene phone call Thomson had received that week - from someone Thomson described as a "young kid."

Thomson had received a number of other obscene, nighttime calls before, but told Brands the voice was different.

She had changed her phone number after the nighttime calls started.

Brands testified she was not in the home at the time of the call and did not hear the voice

Wonder if he ever joined the family for a visit?

http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Crime/2013/03/27/20689366.html
"At the police station, Pawis said he had been left alone with the dogs for eight days. His girlfriend and her children were visiting a relative in Hamilton, Ont. Pawis said he “lost it” and was unable to control his anger at the animal.

He then told police that he constantly thinks about hurting and killing people, and had experienced such thoughts since he was a teenager. He also threatened to eat people's eyeballs and brains, court heard"

Still thinking through the idea of possibilities here is one I cannot fully flesh out:

1. Audrey (I hypothesize) on sleuthing anti-crime forum(I don't know this just to be clear but it was brought up on one thread).

2. Audrey clever getting way to close to something thus "silenced".

3. Missing body part possibly not sexual, a finger, an ear, OR an internal organ though the description of clothing doesn't seem to allow for that unless clothes were put on later a bit unlikely. So maybe the solution is simpler e.g. an ear.

4. P.K. told by L.E. not to give details of this for obvious reasons:

5. Thus P.K.'s description of the crime scene seems "off" to us he is obeying LE "scene not that bad etc.)

6. Because though her slacks were ripped was this enough to allow the excision we have all wondered about here - I have always though maybe not.

7. Confusion for us because 1. LE deliberately misleading us for investigative reasons 2. media/LE communication error 3. Hrab either inprecise or himself a bit traumatized, doesn't explain well.

Who is to say that AG's case is still being investigated? It may have been quietly placed on the back burners for lack of further evidence?

  • #974
Missing body part? When did LE say that? Gosh, they said the murder had a sexual connation. PK said her pants were ripped at the side - thats it - nothing more nor less.
Hmm - what was said at her funeral? Something about a vicious brutal murder - no mentioning of a sexual attack.
MOO

Wondering in response to Chorley 8's post, if AG had her ears pierced and if she always wore earrings?

"Hrab did not reveal additional pieces of the picture, details only the killer would know, what investigators call “hold-back evidence.”

He spoke of a vicious stabbing but did not talk about other weapons — at least one other had been used — or the nature of the “sexual component” (it had included a perverse act that went beyond a conventional assault; the killer had taken something from the victim as though making off with a souvenir.)"

It does not talk about a body part being removed, for a souvenir, or a body part being removed for any reason.
Taking something from the victim could even mean a lock of hair, for example,
as a souvenir.

It talks about two weapons being used. One for the assualt? and the second one may have been placed in a body orfice? If true, this could fit the definition of a "sexual component"

Re Hrab things "only the killer would know". Maybe we shouldn't be trying so hard to figure it out!

IMO, the sentence wrt "souvenir" relates to the preceding sentence wrt "perverse act"

Jon W is a writer, author, so hopefully he knows his punctuation. I interpret the semi-colon he used in that article, was intended to link the two sentences. When a semi-colon is used, it's kind of like substituting it for the word "and"; the sentence that follows it usually relates to the sentence that precedes it.

  • #980
A semi colon is also used to link 2 seperate statements relating to the main subject matter. I'll bet Audrey could sort out the rules. lol
