They both do own this property! This is a copy from the towns council meeting. I don't know how to copy a direct link because it is a link I had to down load.
Zoning By-Law Amendment Application #ZA-11-14 (Tucker)
"Jim Sangster identified the lands and the purpose and effect.
The Chair called for anyone present to speak in favour of the application. Jon Sherman and Adam Paulin were present to speak in favour of the application which is to allow marine storage, use of the garage for marine repairs and to legalize the apartments.
Regular Meeting 2014-07-15 Page 7 of 18
Jon Sherman and Adam Paulin are the new potential owners of the property but want to ensure that everything is legal before the purchase is completed. There will be no immediate changes. They intend to use the property in the same manner but want to know the uses are legal. They would like to use the property to keep the marina property at Lakeview Marina from being too congested.
Mayor Whelan asked them to expand on some of the uses. They explained that Open storage referred to boats and trailers. Regarding marine repair, the property has already been used for winterization in the past. Their operation is about 1/8 of the size of the existing operation.
The business is set back on the property to reduce noise and there is a tree line for a sound barrier. Noise and activity will likely be decreased. The Chair called for anyone present to speak against the application. Una Warner, KeithWarner and Mr. Hobson were present. Una Warner spoke to their concerns which were with
the noise of operation. Living next to a noisy business was not why she moved from the city.
She voiced concerns that the business will expand and concerns that there should be a site plan to ensure the property is maintained in the same use.
There was discussion on the aggregate resource area. The potential owners do not intend to have gravel. Mr. Sangster added that it is a use on a rural property because it is a permitted use on the existing zoning however a gravel pit would require Ministry of Natural Resources and many other approvals before opening. The new potential owners would be happy to agree to not have an aggregate use.
The potential owners hope to be part of the community and appreciate their neighbours concerns and will address those concerns.
Councillor Amyotte discussed site plan control. She suggested deferring to look at a site plan that would work for both the applicants and the neighbours.
The potential owners added that the sale of the property is conditional on the zone approval and they want to close the deal as soon as possible. Also, August begins boat storage month.
Mr. Sherman and Mr. Paulin inquired if they would be able to get just a boat storage
agreement.
Jim Sangster discussed pages 3 to 5 of the planner’s report regarding the list of items in the Official Plan that are applicable and must be addressed in the site plan itself."
