One interesting comment under that article about Teva.

Yep, Teva is another one on the list of possibilities. Its a real Pandoras box that Teva espionage thing.

There is one about the opening of the Jewish centre, I believe they both spoke. Barry did for sure. Honey speaks in the one about preparing for the dance comp. Their personalities were what I expected.

what are you looking for on your walk? curious.

Nice homes.

Nothing in particular....absolutely beautiful homes....but a little too congested :moo: The other end of the street is closer to the Sherman home. I sure hope LE is getting a clearer picture of what transpired.

ALL JMO Not too much left to uncover until some actual reports come out now.

Was just looking at the previous news reports of the tow-away of the car and the position of it on the driveway prior to this.
Honey's car was in the driveway. The closest entrance with a coat closet seems to be the front door. I think his car is in the front too.
Not through the low-grade garage with the near the pool entrance

The TPD hasn't said anything about toxicology. Would think the couple took some kind of medication for various ailments at their age? Or maybe they took nothing because they knew how perscription drugs were made? Just one example of many https://www.fda.gov/ICECI/EnforcementActions/WarningLetters/ucm432709.htm

I'm interested in the belts. Were they Barry's? Whose fingerprints were on them? I would think it would be more than one belt.
If someone other than the Shermans was involved there would be DNA and fingerprints on the belts, or, if they wore gloves Barry's former prints would be smudged.
I think the belts are the determining factor.
It's possible that the TPD screwed that evidence up if they had determined a murder /suicide

Again JMO

Welcome to Toronto where the shantiest of homes cost around 1 million. These would be in the millions based on neighbourhood alone.

I recall a listing for a place on the same street as the Sherman's.....11.9M.....unMCreal.

What's crazy is the bubble recently burst in Toronto, and they actually missed the boat (STS) in REALLY cashing in on the sale of their home...

Then again, why would they care....being BILLIONAIRES.

Everyone's favourite Joe Warmington with his newest article on the case:

http://torontosun.com/news/local-ne...investigation-expands-to-neighbouring-streets
From the article you posted:
'Could it be a lead from a GPS device or a cell phone? Could it be more of a running down every scenario approach — similar to what some believe was happening when they studied the home’s roof and scoured the storm sewers outside?'

So it's possible that one of their devices is pinging close to home but they can't locate it? What a tense situation if it's true.

On another note, Paul Godfrey was a friend of the Shermans and is the CEO of Postmedia- Joe Warmington's boss. I think Warmington is possibly closer to the story with that connection as well as his police sources. I believe what he's reporting.

TPS has made zero statements other than COD. So, no they haven't screwed any evidence as far as we know. Tox reports can take weeks to months, in this case, probably another week or two.

You would think houses would be cheap to build in Canada with all those trees. Maybe materials other than lumber are higher?

The houses I saw in that walk would sell for anywhere from 50 thousand upwards to 250 thousand here in my state.

There was a summer slump but no burst bubbles. We are almost back on track in real estate prices. The biggest problem is the lack of listings.
Older people are staying put, keeping their houses for as long as possible. Many people are renovating rather than moving. Thats occurred partly because of the Land Transfer taxes payable to both City and Province. Might as well stay put.

Mature trees and green spaces like ravines increase the value of homes in TO.

"Nothing is ever as simple as it seems." Actually, I believe the vast majority of cases are exactly as they seem. It is the outliers that turn out to be something else.

And I also believe that the vast majority of law enforcement are professional and capable enough to view and investigate each case with an open mind.

Unfortunately, doesn't happen that way every time, and it's good to question, but fortunately the number of those instances are in the minority.

Maybe they found a cell phone that had GPS tracking to the Sherman's house on 12/14...checking surveillance in the neighborhood. After two weeks, would that footage still be available?

Burner phone found in the sewer?

It is not about the house as much as the lot. Very average lots in very average neighbourhoods can be well over a million, increasing quickly with better location.

JMO Nothing is cheap in Canada. Building materials ,builders, basically everything is highly taxed.
50 thousand would be one year of property tax for the Shermans if the house was actually valued @ 6.9

In Canada you pay enough money for off-brand pharmaceuticals to make people billionaires many times over

I don't think so. In Canada, the law is the law, regardless of wealth. He would have been arrested, charged, and his lawyers would have had to argue "heat of passion". That's typically a 10 year sentence. At best, he could be deemed mentally incapable at the moment of committing murder, and that would have earned him a few years in a psychiatric institution. Either way, his reputation would have been completely destroyed. Today, his family is doing everything they can to preserve his reputation as a philanthropist rather than a murderer, including hiring a team of lawyers, a retired detective and whoever else they need to keep the husband's reputation as clean as possible.

I completely and totally disagree. That kind of wealth AND power AND connections can get you absolutely anything you want. Including "fixing" a murder scene.

Astounds me that at their ages they would be wanting to build another 20000 sq foot house, even more so after what happened last time they built.
If one partner was opposed to the idea, that could cause ructions.

Perhaps Barry thought 10000 sq feet would be big enough, especially if he didn’t enjoy hosting 80 people for dinner regularly.
If it is murder/ suicide I think it was unplanned. Some straw broke the camels back.
