I don't find that feasible, like the gloves. Why would someone go to that trouble and then toss evidence aside on the property, when it could be easily disposed of in rubbish bin.

I still think if Honey, or Barry's car keys/fob is missing, that points to someone else taking them to gain entrance to the house, after confronting them in their car, or as they were getting out. One of them may have also dropped them, if they were being attacked just before entering the house, or after just coming in. What do you have in your hands when getting out of the car, and going in the house ? Your car/house keys, at least I do. As I posted on the thread before this, it would be logical for a killer to pick them up, so as not to leave anything out of place, but maybe put them in a pocket, and forgot them. It is a very small clue like that, which could point to someone else being on the property when one or both of them arrived home at different times on Wed. evening. LE also may just want to be seen obviously being thorough in their search, since the Sherman Family is also conducting a private investigation. IMO

There has been so much speculation on what this object might be. I have thought possibly it maybe a piece of jewelry that one of the Shermans was never seen without it. A family heirloom. I even thought of a Rolex watch. But I feel something very sentimental.

They purchased the current house in the 80's before they had big money and it is worth a fraction of what the new one would have been. I'm guessing their accountant told them there would be the most benefits in having the new house in Honey's name only, so they listened to him.

Houses are often staged for real estate postings by minimizing the furniture. One of the key goals of ideal staging is to remove all signs of any personal touches (i.e. personal pictures, unique furniture, anything that indicates the personality of the seller) so that the buyer focuses on imagining themselves in the home. Houses staged for sale will always (if done right) look minimalistic. I personally wouldn't read anything into the real estate pics as any indication of BS/HS life.

I recently attended a conference on dealing with legalized cannabis. Basically the opinion of the experts is that the government legalized cannabis without any clear understanding of the recreational and medicinal pros and cons. There were disappointed that no medical or expert practitioners were involved in the process.

A quick synopsis :

1) The government totally should have gone for oil, pill and edibles. They emphasized that there is no reason that anyone who requires medical cannabis needs to smoke it. And, in fact, smoking it in itself is very detrimental to health. According to the experts there, it is every bit as bad as smoking and the negative health consequences will impact us in the pocketbook.

2) The damage to younger developing brains exposed to cannabis smoke. This is a huge detriment for young individuals and society as whole.

Do you have a source for this, because from my experience neither of these are true. Who were the experts? Did they supply medical research for these points?

I was just watching the 6pm news on CP24, and they covered the Sherman case live from outside the home. It's still an active crime scene investigation, taped off and all. Crime scene investigators were using metal detectors on the outdoor property surrounding the home today. Police will be working into the evening, and the investigation is showing "no signs of slowing down".

Rightfully so, the Toronto real estate market has cooled, its possible they hoped to negotiate a lengthy possession date, and they owned other properties. But as finances were obviously not a consideration, the question mark arose why would a senior couple comfortable in a home for 30 years did not wait to list near the completion of their new dream home? Others have suggested the new home registered in only Honey's name to be indicative of separation of assets and each planing on going their seperate ways.

While the listing of the home may not have absolutely any connection to their deaths, the timing is still curious.

OT but to your question. perhaps the link below is helpful. The ongoing controversy is often published in Canadian news.

Most recently the Canadian Medical Association has expressed concerns over the hasty manner in which marijuana is being legalized. I recall watching this news segment. It was also mentioned all the trial studies have been sponsored by companies with vested interests and in their opinion, adequate research about long term effects of usage haven't been conducted.

I don’t think the new home being registered in Honey’s name alone is indicative of them separating. It could be down to estate planning, protection from lawsuits or other financial reasons. It’s quite common for billionaires to put assets in their partners name, for example billionaire retail tycoon Sir Philip Green, has put most of their assets in his wife’s name for tax reasons.

They likely planned to move into the Toronto condominium they owned and were going to put their furniture etc in storage.

The presenter were Christopher Souster, Lawyer; Chad Lefevre, of the Canadian Cannabis Chamber of Commerce; and Lindsay Blackett. They are involved in the process of legalizing mj use in Alberta, so I am sure they are able to support what they presented. They did not give a list of references for the presentation, and I did not request one.


What they said was “There were disappointed that no medical or expert practitioners were involved in the process”.
Meaning the federal government did not consult experts or seek out medical practitioners who were accredited and had done placebo controlled studies.

Most people self-medicate or use it recreationally, which means it cannot be used in independent research. THC has gotten the majority of attention, but there has not been much investigation into CBD’s effects. Also they stated for the most part there is no control over what chemicals etc. mj is grown in today.

Interested in your studies and what medical research you are basing your opinion on.

100% agree, all those could be valid reasons for putting a property in one spouse's name. I wouldn't think twice about it... Except...

the current house is titled in both names. So why the difference? Any of those reasons for holding title in Honey's name would be just as valid with the current house.

And that the current house was bought 20+ years ago and they just never changed it just doesn't cut it. It would be a very minor task for an attorney to draw up and file paperwork to remove Barry from the title, and they certainly had regular contact with attorneys and likely had their estate plan reviewed and updated annually.

So why the difference?

Makes you wonder about the 'grey divorce' issue. Most women would have told a friend or sister though. At first glance, my answer about the first house being joint was that BSs net worth wasn't near as high in the 80s when they bought it. As you say, they've had plenty of lawyers who could change over the title if it was for estate planning/other legal reasons.

Mind you, I've known couples when one dies, the other doesn't change the title unless they're selling the house. No need to.

Would BS have killed HS, if she mentioned a divorce? Would he have been able to handle it, he had a pretty big ego and was so 'successful'?
Would it be the final insult?
