The family of missing rancher Ben Tyner will address media in #Merritt at 9 this morning. Tyner has been missing since January 26th. The RCMP's Southeast District Major Crime Unit has been assisting in the investigation.
Maybe some answers at last. I'm thinking the family may already have their answers. Always hopeful for positive news, but he's been gone for so long. So many family members and friends (and strangers) searching and helping in many other ways. It's been a sad couple weeks and yet I've read nothing but outstanding accolades for this cowboy from the moment he was missing.

Just too sad.
His poor father, it breaks my heart to see his pain.

RCMP will be recording and will post the entire video later today.

Apparently the presser will be released later today but there are updates here

From Colton Davies:

To summarize... there are no new leads in the search for Ben Tyner, and police still have no evidence to say foul play is involved in his disappearance. The RCMP E-Division Major Crime Unit though is still in #Merritt assisting in the investigation. @RadioNLNews #Kamloops

So he has not been found, it seems. No leads and no evidence. Well, at least there was some info released.

What a long, lonely road trip Jack has returning to WY with Ben’s dog & horse/s. Praying he has a safe journey.
Hoping the tip line generates leads. Someone knows something, imo.

If he had hunkered down for whatever reason, would he tie the horse up near him or slap it on the behind and tell him to go home? If he tied him up, would he have taken his saddle off?

It so confusing to me that there's nothing.. nobody talking .. nothing. i have no clue about horses, I would think leave saddle on but I could be totally wrong

Who knows. If injured, maybe he could not lift saddle.
I would try to keep my horse near me, hoping she’d be visible to SAR.
You?

So his brother is taking the dogs. And his horse. Of course he would.

I agree. Absolutely heartbreaking for Ben's family and all who love him. Someone has to know something, the key to his strange disappearance. I cannot see Ben disappearing willingly and leaving his beloved horse and dog behind that he brought with him from Wyoming. I wish we knew more about his dog, where it was on the ranch, did Ben leave lots of food and water, and if outside, was its water frozen. Lots of poops? To give a bit of a clue to a timeline of when Ben left his dog. And how many supplies did Ben have in his saddlebags? Are there any security and trail cam around the ranch? As far out as it sounds, I hope his family can find a genuine critter whisperer. Hopefully one who can tap into the memories of his horse and his dog. Especially his horse. His horse knows alot of what happened. One who can speak its language is what is needed. all is imo.

Oh, I’m speculating they are hauling all of Ben’s belongings home. Moo
I’m guessing the Tyner family wishes to preserve & safeguard Ben’s personal effects & there’s no one better, imo, to tend his animals then “uncle Jack”. Moo

Well I'm hopeful they wouldn't leave his animals there. They belong with his brother and family.

My heart just breaks for Ben's family. What a long drive home.

Yes, maybe 24+ hours (guessing), plus a trailer might slow things down. Hoping Jack has friends to do the driving, he must be exhausted. It was reported Mr. Tyner had been ill, this surely isn’t helping his situation. All MOO

I'm glad I am not the only one that is clueless about horses. I agree, no one talking, no evidence of him being out there- no boot, glove, hat, something- ugh. I am wondering if he was ever out there in the first place, and the poor horse might have been used to distract LE from investigating other angles.

I wish it was clear that he actually left on Sunday morning. The last anyone saw Ben alive in person, appears to be Saturday night. It makes a difference in my eyes as to other possibilities that may have occurred between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

To be honest, I would, too, if they belonged to my sibling that is missing. Who better to love and care for them than his brother and family. It's really sad to see that there has been no progress in this case, no leads, no evidence of Ben whatsoever with exception of his horse- and we don't even know if Ben took his horse out that morning.

I’m so glad Jack was able to ride NR with SAR. No one would know Ben’s riding habits better, imo.
IMO, jack is convinced Ben is elsewhere. Otherwise, I think he would remain @ NR, until he located his big brother. Moo
