Disappearance of Edmonton woman last seen Christmas 'suspicious': police
Johnson's mother was one of the last people to see her. ...left her mother's home ...to go to an acquaintance's apartment, the address a few blocks eastward. She believes Billie had been living there over the past two weeks.

Police also consider the silence out of character. "All of her activity ends on Dec. 24."

Her mother has hung posters throughout the area of her daughter's last known activity, pleading for help. Marless wants anyone to report if they found clothes like Billie's in back alleys in the Westmount and Queen Mary Park neighbourhoods.

The mother of a 30-year-old Edmonton woman who vanished on Christmas Eve fears her daughter is already dead. ...she has no doubt her daughter was the victim of foul play. ...she spent time with her daughter earlier that night at her home near 111th Avenue and 130th Street. Her daughter came by for a few hours on Christmas Eve. She seemed sad and sat down with her mother for a few drinks before returning home to the apartment where she had been living for several weeks a few blocks away. That was the last time Johnson heard from her.

Very sad, this sudden disappearance but good progress by LE to have connected BJ to this unidentified male. However it’s alarming for this truck to be spotted heading west out of the city, not sure whats the reason for an almost 4 hour time variance. Would this man have used his own debit or credit card at the convenience store....wishful thinking maybe because by now I’d think his identity would be known but any lead is better than none.

“The suspect vehicle identified by police, a black Dodge Ram, was captured on surveillance video leaving the downtown area and headed west out of the city between 9:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve and 1:14 a.m. on Christmas Day.

Police also released a surveillance image of the driver, in a blue sweater and black face mask, as he enters what appears to be a convenience store.”

My thoughts and prayers go out to Billie's loved ones. It seems she was a lovely young lady with a big, caring heart. I can't even imagine what her children and mom are going through. I pray they can bring her home soon so she can be properly laid to rest. :(

J. described Billie as the light of her life. She said her daughter was a vibrant girl, a stunningly beautiful tomboy with cutting dry wit. Mother and daughter were unusually close. They spoke daily, often cracking jokes at each other's expense and leaning on each other for advice. "She had the most amazing personality and sense of humour. She could light up a room."

She said Billie's children deserve to know where their mother is. G., 4, and D., set to turn 11, are heartbroken, she said. "He is going to celebrate his birthday on the 31st without her. You can see the hurt on his face. He's just trying to be brave but he just wants to know where his mother is," she said. "And G., she will never know how beautiful her mother was. "She was a wonderful mother."

Ken Courtorielle's experience with pipeline jobs makes me think they're going to have a hard time finding Billie's remains.:( He seems like the type who has no remorse for his selfish actions. This monster will likely never tell where he put Billie. Below is a pic of himself he posted on 17 Feb 2021. Quite telling, isn't it? I hope he rots in both jail and hell.

"It's been so difficult because we know that she is out there... We feel her out there." Gale hopes the person responsible will come forward and tell police where Johnson is. "Please tell us where you put her. We need to know, the family needs closure -- her children need closure, please," Gale said.

Yes the photo is very telling indeed, choosing to identify himself with the devil. Disgusting. Was this character known by BYJ I wonder and if not - not victim blaming - but surely there will come a point in time when all the past missing females/lives lost will prevent other females from putting themselves at risk by hopping into vehicles with strangers. It really pains me every time I read about cases like this in and around Edmonton and the northern part of Alberta, sadly all too common.

I also wonder if LE will connect KC to prior crimes against women including other unsolved homicides. He appears a classic opportunist with no conscience whatsoever but thankfully he was dumb enough to not realize surveillance cameras are everywhere in the city and LE laid charges quite quickly. If this was a first-time homicide for him, I’ve no doubt his arrest has saved the lives of others.

I agree, he may never reveal where he left the body. At worst he’s likely familiar with locations of flare pits.

Yeah, Billie and 'Satan' were a couple. I think I read she had only moved in a couple weeks before this incident. I wonder what could have happened that made him snap.

Earlier this week, Larocque told Global News the accused was her cousin’s boyfriend and that Johnson lived with him in Edmonton.

Thanks for the link, that’s very tragic indeed. If they were living together, then it’s really no wonder “satan” became a prime suspect early on, especially as his truck was spotted on CCTV heading away from the city.

Do Canadian jails allow use of FB? Perhaps Courtorielle bonded out? I dunno, but someone changed his profile picture frame a little while ago. I wonder what the three bullet holes represent, if anything.

Interesting. My understand is inmates at Remand Centres are given very limited internet access for the purpose of assisting them in preparing their case prior to trial. Otherwise communication is mainly through telephone calls.

MSM hasn’t reported about a bail hearing so I don’t think that’s occurred yet.

Three bullet holes? That’s really sick.

I wonder if someone hacked into his account and posted that to scare him. I couldnt find anything about a bail hearing either and I would guess that not going on any social media would be a condition. Just my guess.

Found deceased.

Forensic investigators confirmed the remains found Wednesday belonged to Billie Wynell Johnson, 30, who was reported missing Dec. 28, city police said Thursday.

Remains of missing Edmonton woman presumed dead found, suspect hit with second charge

The two charges are: Second degree murder (from February) and indignity to a body (new charge).
Ty for the update! Even though I expected this conclusion, it's still sad reading that she's been found deceased. May her family find peace of mind knowing she's finally home.

Rest in peace, beautiful! You deserved so much better.

To Kenny: I know you're reading this (or getting updates from some fool who associates w/ you) as is evident by the constant changes to your FB page. God created hell for people just like yourself. Enjoy the burn, bruh!

“Our prayers have been answered,” Omeasoo said to a group of reporters in Wetaskiwin, Alta., on Friday — two days after the body of her sister Billie Wynell Johnson was found north of Edmonton.

“There’s so many families out there, Indigenous families, who will never, ever get that closure — never find their loved ones,” Snakeskin said.
Sisters of Edmonton homicide victim Billie Johnson glad she can be laid to rest: ‘It is a huge relief’
*bbm* this is the truest statement I’ve heard all year. Even sadder ~ it’s probably the truest statement of all time...
