They had arrests already in the B and H case so no need to preserve the house as a crime scene.
B and H- Bernardo and Homolka? Not Barry and Honey....

Somebody waiting in the pool room, likely knew beforehand, that the car lights in the garage could be seen in the pool room.
Plus you would be able to hear the garage door go up. Remember the Urban Explorer heard it when he was snooping?

Re-fresher.. rbbm.
2020
''One Saturday afternoon in May of 2019, when nobody was looking, a man slipped under the garage door of the late Barry and Honey Sherman’s home.

The site of the Shermans’ murder 17 months earlier by ligature strangulation was slated for demolition. There is a subculture in Toronto, and elsewhere, called “urbex” or “urban explorers,” people who go where they are not supposed to go, sometimes for art through photography, simple curiosity, or thrill.

“It took a bit of planning. I waited until the security cameras came down just before the demolition started,” the man said in an interview. “Then I went in.”
.......

''An agent representing the Sherman family had written to the city saying, “the house has been vacant for the past year … along with bad memories and a stigma attached due to the incident that took place. It is the family’s desire to level the house, clean up the site, fill in the pool and put the lot up for sale.”
....
''The Urbex man went in mid-afternoon. He climbed over a wall on one side of the property. He did not think he would get inside the home, figuring all the doors would be locked. The Sherman home had a 10-car underground garage accessed by a ramp on the right side of the house. It is likely that Barry Sherman drove down that ramp on the night of Wednesday, Dec. 13, shortly before he was murdered.''

''There was nothing to see in the garage so he left through a door that opened onto a spiral staircase heading up to the first and second floor. It’s one of two staircases it is believed the attacker or attackers used to take Honey Sherman (who was likely surprised on the first floor by an assailant) down to the basement.''

.......

''Feeling a “terrible energy” as he walked down the hallway, the Urbex man entered the swimming pool room at the north end of the basement. The pool had been drained. He said the darkened pool area seemed “sinister.”

Then he heard a noise. The unmistakable sound of the garage door opening. Maybe a demolition worker? His heart pounding, he gathered his camera and light, quickly moved down the hallway, out a side door, and back the way he had come.''

out of sight.. out of mind ?
I think it's two things. It wasn't a happy home for them while they lived there by many accounts, then throw in a gruesome murder. At first I wondered the same, why not donate things to charity and take personal mementoes but these people are super rich and don't think like we do. They can buy whatever they want.

so this is for the ppl who watched the show
do you think KD is pushing the J theory ? is he implying le has the same one ?
is there any indication he has some hidden evidence or is it just that ( all roads leading to rome ) ?

you might try reasonable explanations
but burying photos of the dead and those statues and fast enough is as creepy as it gets ..you see that on tv possibly

Photos, yes, but who's to say they didn't already have the same photos? As far as their furniture and other possessions, people have said most of it was old and not high end. If it was my parents' house and they were brutally murdered in their home, I might have felt the need to get what I wanted and then had it leveled. I don't think I would have wanted to spend any time there going through their personal possessions. My parents died decades apart and it was really hard going through their things but we had to, so as much as the thrifty part of me wishes they would have opened up to charity and donated things, especially kitchen appliances that could have been reused, I get it.

I believe he and the police both believe JS is involved. I haven't seen the last 2 episodes yet but after reading the book, listening to his podcast, reading his replies on the q and a, everything points to KD thinking JS is involved. Having said that, the cops are very tight lipped. But I also think that ending the documentary, focusing on JS, that says a lot about KD's thinking.

Sorry I didn’t realize the same initials.
Bernardo and Homolka not Barry and Honey.

The 3rd episode mainly focused on FD’A and the 4th mainly focused on JS, and I wouldn’t be surprised if either of them were a POI, in my opinion. KD seems to lean his coverage towards JS and wants us to focus on him, imo.

The dynamics between KD and JS are fascinating. KD is in a unique power position in JS’s life. He doesn’t answer to him, isn’t a yes-man, and he knows the truth.

so if we think this was done by pro hit men/man
how do they get them ? is there some secret places that you can hire them... i dont think the master mind would leave such traces behind ..like calls and so on ..the hired killers should have been in contact with the MM even while the murder is being commited ..
did le monitor those suspects around the murders to see if unusual amounts of money was being withdrawn ?
are pro hired killers a very safe getway or its possible they would reappear and ask for more money or spill something to someone ?

Yes there are places, but usually a guy knows a guy who knows a guy. (To put it in context, likely any one of the 25,000 plus mercenaries who belong to the Wagner Group in Russia, would take on such a job.)

I don't think the master mind would leave such traces behind ..like calls and so on ..
Discretion and secrecy is key. The hitman, is likely more concerned about maintaining his own anonymity.

the hired killers should have been in contact with the MM even while the murder is being committed ..
Might have been

did le monitor those suspects around the murders to see if unusual amounts of money was being withdrawn ?
Of course they do, but for the possible Mastermind(s) in this case, it is not unusual for them to move around lots of money.
The use of crypto-currency is a way to avoid Law Enforcement scrutiny. BTW JS went to Japan prior murders to learn how to trade Crypto.

Pros usually charge enough to justify not re-contacting the MM. Re-contacting the MM could influence the MM to make a deal with LE and sell out the hitman.

Very high risk business!!

I have said it many times, it is easier than you think to hire a hit man. I am not sure why people think it's difficult. Being we are all on Websleuths, we all know cases where hit men were hired. This is no different. Then when you are dealing with billionaires and world travel, added in we have some pretty powerful people. It would only take a phone call or a fast visit in a park and bingo you have a contact of whom to hire for this job. JMO

yes.. i get to hear these stories about ppl looking for hit men on the web..and some would get busted..and in some countries you can get to hire a killer for bucks
but this is not your ordinary crime.. so I am thinking they would only go to only the most pro or the most secretive idk
do we think that crimes commited by hit men are harder to solve ? what are the statistics

@WINDSOR

good catch about the Crypto thing ...its also interesting that he has to have a photo proving his whereabouts or somthing related to this

I'm hoping to watch tonight. I know you mentioned that KD said JS would look away from him when answering questions. I wish there was video so we could see if that's normal for him. JS must hate knowing KD isn't stopping in his search for the killer(s).

Very spoiled, entitled heirs of extremely rich parents murdering their parents for money has been a too common occurrence in our time -- the Menendez brothers in the USA, Dellan Millard, and Dennis Oland in Canada come to mind. I am sure there are many others, unfortunately, so I am not surprised that KD and quite possibly TPS have their suspicions. The old adage of "Follow the money" is very true about many things in life.IMO

This is older. It seems a bit rehearsed and is basically a promo for the beer company he had, but it gives some idea about what his baseline for communicating is, imo.

Don't forget, his lawyer was calling him that night, we may never know the reason why. We also don't know if Honey had a will somewhere.
