Since seeing the TikTok video last night my initial impression was that Rachel was actually addressing HERSELF in the final video with CB

This might not be a popular thing to say,

but it bothers me that people are quick to judge CB’s mom's mental state based on a few TikTok videos. In today's environment my mental health is constantly being challenged.

Lalalacasbah made a good point when she mentioned the vid might have been directed at the bio-dad, considering it was Father's Day. Combine that with any other trauma that might have been going on and I see a woman who is frightened, feels manipulated and totally powerless.

Whatever might have been happening in the background likely caused her to become unhinged.

And what did she mean when she said, "I know more than you think."

Sounds like an accusation to me.
(All in my worried opinion)
We all see something different with victims and the people around them. I see a woman who researched children's funeral urns before leaving home with her daughter and the dog. Her phone remained at home. After some "missing time", she entered a shop to declare that she misplaced her daughter. Then the dog was found dead.

It seems like a planned event where she anticipates that she'll need to buy a child's funeral urn ... having already decided on cremation rather than burial.

It is / was a creepy foreshadowing.

''Search efforts will continue overnight, the Sûreté du Québec confirmed late Tuesday evening.''
''On Tuesday, a black mini bus filled with police officers in yellow vests was waiting outside the command post set up beside the Coteau-du-Lac fireworks store where CB was reported missing on Sunday. Onlookers also stopped their cars along St-Emmanuel Rd. to look at the large SQ truck and police officers gathered at the scene. A Montreal police car with two police officers was also briefly in the parking lot.''

New member here. I live approximately 1 mile off of St. Emmanuel and about 3 miles from the BEM fireworks store in Coteau du Lac at the junction of St. Emmanuel and Autoroute 20 where this young child was reported missing

Just here to give some geographic perspective. My greatest concern is that the BEM store is less than 0.5 miles north from the Soulanges canal, an old shipping route closed 75 years ago. This canal is about 10 miles long running from Pointe des Cascades in the east to Valleyfield to the west. It runs parallel to highway 338 on one side and a recreational bicycle path on the other side.

Both the highway and bicycle path are only 10-20 feet from the edge of the canal which is not fenced with no barrier and a drop of 10-20 ft to the water .. In fact periodically cars or even pedestrians have been known to fall into the canal. I fear for any child that may be on their own at the side of highway 338 or the bicycle path. From what I have seen, much of the searching has been in the wooded area on the SW in green on the map which is heavily wooded marshland.

I was actually out cycling the path and headed north in St. Emmanuel at 5 pm on Sunday and saw nothing unusual except for a couple vehicles parked on the shoulder of the road just north of the tracks near the BEM store. I suspect someone had already started searching at that point being 1.5 hrs after she was reported missing.

Hoping for a miracle but the canal really scares me. From what I know, there does not seem to be a search of the canal currently.

I should also add that the area to the SE of the BEM store and warehouse is a very busy campground. Any young child on their own would be picked up quickly on the east side of St. Emmanuel north of highway 338.

Feeling the need to defend myself here because I have speculated on her mental health - I think saying she is becoming unhinged because of things happening in the background is the same as what I believe to be happening for her. She can have mental health issues and be going through a crisis that started said issues. Same goes for premeditation and mental health issues - the two are not mutually exclusive. She could very well be having a psychotic episode as a result of relationship breakdown and strain as a single mother which resulted in her believing (for some reason/due to delusion) that her daughter needed to be gone and planning to do so. Still, her not remembering what happened at all to CB does seem a bit unusual to me unless she is coming to realize what she did which is pushing her further into a state of disoriented distress and/or into a position where she is afraid to tell anyone because of the gravity of things.

Im surprised they haven’t searched it. Is it fast moving? I suppose resources are limited to a degree. I do wonder how they are choosing search locations and whether Rachel gave them any indication on where they should be focusing their attention

Hey, I can get behind that perspective. There is so much we do not know at this point.

Top priority is to find that child.

It is still water 25-30 ft deep. I have included a satellite photo. You can see the bike path to the south of the canal. There is parking for cars and pedestrians using the Soulanges bike path and trail. There are no barriers between the highway or bike trail and the canal in this section.

I believe the area they are searching is because the mother is full of scratches as if she had been in a dense wooded area.

Here is a satellite image of the canal 0.5 miles south of the BEM factory. There is parking on the west side of St. Emmanuel just south of the canal for pedestrians and cyclists using the recreational path.

Of note both highway 338 on the north side of the canal and the recreational trail on the south side directly intersect with highway 30 about 5 miles to the east of St. Emmanuel in Vaudreuil Dorion almost exactly where they found the dog. It is not a stretch that the dog could have followed the path or highway 338 to autoroute 30.

The area just north of the canal on the north west side of highway 338 is a dense wooded area as is some parts of the south side of the canal between the bike path and the canal. The wooded area in the picture below is where we are seeing a lot of searching. Very dense marshland.

It makes sense the search area because of the scratches etc. on her. Also, she was barefoot when she ran into the store.
On another note regarding the canal, it was alluded to by her, I think in one of her TikTok’s or somewhere. I am racking my brain trying to figure out the reference to the canal. Does anyone else remember reading or hearing something about the canal on TikTok?

This whole area to the west of st. Emmanuel between the canal and autoroute 20 is dense wooded marshland. It is where a lot of the search is happening. It is extremely difficult to navigate through the reeds and dense underbrush there.
