Wow, so here we go. BOTH sites are related, the parts are confirmed as human and the family has been notified. I can't believe how lucky it was that those parts were found from two different locations at around the same time.

That's so true! If not for that homesless man looking for golf balls, they might never have been found. Funny how things all fall into place sometimes. My thoughts are definitely with the family of the victim right now, what terrible news to recieve.

I'm wondering about the "obvious similarities" between the body parts. All I can think of is ethnicity...any other ideas? The young female missing from Orangeville is dark skinned. But LE have said they believe the victim to be an adult - would that cancel out teenagers?

Also, the fact that they aren't releasing what body part(s) were in the plastic bag makes me think it's pretty bad. Why spread out some remains and just drop them as-is and put others in a plastic bag, tied shut?

Maybe he thought there was a less of a chance finding anything of the victim.. Only heaving smaller body parts scatters compared to a whole intact body... Heck, he even cut the hands from the arms, and the feet from the calf ..

Peel Police said on Friday (Aug 17th) that they thought the body parts discovered in the Credit River had been there for 2 weeks or so. If you go back 14 days that takes us to August 3rd which was when Caribana was in full swing and the beginning of the Simcoe Day long weekend.

West Highland Creek (Kennedy Road @ Boris/Cardwell Ave) is barely a trickle and surrounded by condos and townhouses ... maybe the perp(s) were from out of town and didn't know the waterways that well? If they had access to a car then why not dump body parts in the Don River or Lake Ontario or the Holland Marsh? Unless they didn't care and they were on their way out of town?

IDK I'm not seeing a copycat...well except for the dismemberment of the body parts but LRM wasn't the first and won't be the last to murder and dismember a human being. LRM had other "issues" including torturing and killing animals. He had an agenda in his own sick mind by mailing body parts to political party members and a school.

IMO, the victim in this case will turn out to be either a runaway or a married woman murdered by her husband. Any missing married women in Ontario?

That was my initial thought too. Let's hope there isn't a video of this murder floating around TOR or anywhere else. To remove the hands & feet and thighs from calves is pretty meticulous. My thought of why the perp disposed of the parts in two different locations was to confuse LE. Then again, I feel like at least some of the parts were not well "hidden" (i.e. the leg on the bank of the river near the golf course and the plastic bag in very shallow water), which makes wonder if the perp wanted the remains found.

Interesting Caribana was in full swing 2 weeks ago. I was just talking to people that weekend about how much violence had occurred at Caribana in the past.

Wow. There's been speculation that a serial killer is on the loose in the Toronto area with all these young girls missing. I'm wondering if the perp kept them in a secluded area and now started disposing of their remains.

ETA: C L E A R L Y, these girls would (have) know(n) some of the same people. So perhaps also serial perp?!?! With the long list of missing teenage girls, it seems there could be something more going on.
