Has it been stated if Holly was wearing the same clothes as the day she disappeared? Or would clothing wear away in water?
No, nothing has been said. Because of Canada’s privacy laws it will be up to Holly’s family if they choose to release any specific details surrounding her death. The autopsy should be able to determine the cause of death, whether it be drowning or not.
I’m thinking about this quote by Holly’s father from Kelsie’s link up above. While their was strong hope Holly was still alive amidst various unconfirmed sightings, rumours and theories, it must’ve been tremendously painful for her family during these past nine months. They knew her far better than anyone, that she wouldn’t willingly choose to disappear so for them the only alternatives to hold onto was a kidnapping or some sort of perpetual psychosis state. I don’t think either would inspire a great deal of optimist hope yet they didn’t give up. Quite remarkable actually.
“She hasn't been kidnapped so we don't have to worry about that, she's not roaming the streets of North America in a psychotic state, she may never have been psychotic. We don't know though whether she had an accident and drowned, whether she was killed and put in the water, we don't know any of those things really," he said....”
