I think I remember reading that they were sure he was wearing a pull-up, and his boots were missing, but they didn’t knowwhat else he had on because only the daughter came into the room.
Which is problematic that with 2 adults in the home neither had seen their 4 year-old before 10 am to know what he was wearing. And both were in a position they couldn't hear the kids step outside and play in small square footage.
As unusual as a stranger abduction would be, for a kidnapper to happen to be outside a rural home and the kids happened to be outside at the same time, if feels like the stars would all need to align for the parents story to be true.
Happened to be home sick from school when they'd normally be gone already.
Two adults in the trailer and neither could say with certainty what the kids were wearing (maybe Lily was in pink) or what they were doing.
Two kids and both decided to go out to play, despite mom saying they knew they weren't allowed out alone, and a grandmother and uncle nearby didn't see them (that we know of).
Two kids that at some point both decided to leave their fenced yard and not visit grandma, or walk down the road where a neighbor might see, but instead head into thick woods.
Two kids that didn't cry out for help or drop anything.
I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but I live 45 min from anything. I cannot see my neighbors from my house. But we can hear louder noises like mowers, dogs barking, if someone screamed for help. Despite being so rural it's not without life. People go on walks, people work in their yards and sit on porches. Occasional vehicles will go by especially logging trucks.
Seems like things had to be just so for them to disappear so completely.
