CANADA Canada - Jack, 4 & Lilly Sullivan, 6, Vulnerable, wandered from home 10am, Gairloch Rd, Landsdowne Station, Pictou County, NS, 2 May 2025 #2

If you had police talking about how your children were probably dead, do you not think you'd have to seek medical assistance and family support?

May 3rd was the next day after the children went missing, the day MBM left Lansdowne. The police did not talk about the children probably being dead until the search wound down several days later.

It's reported that Jack was in just a pull-up and blue boots.

That makes it even more unlikely, imo, they could get very far with the way the woods are being described. That would be very painful, especially for 4 year-old skin.

Seems like they would turn back or sit down and cry pretty quickly.

I think I remember reading that they were sure he was wearing a pull-up, and his boots were missing, but they didn’t knowwhat else he had on because only the daughter came into the room.

Clarification is needed here because that is not what happened.

The “briefing” that is being referred to is not the press conference that occurred on May 7th when the RCMP indicated scaling back/low likely hood of survival.

The briefing that the mother left from was on May 3rd. The day after the children were reported missing. Shortly after she did that interview and shortly after major crimes became involved.

There were no police claiming the children are likely dead on May 3rd when she left.

Martell then claimed he didn’t know why she left.

It's a possibility of anything. They don't think it's an abduction, they think it could be anything. So, they're looking at everything.

The RCMP said they had no evidence of an abduction, not that they don’t think it’s an abduction. Everything could put anything, including an abduction, on the table of possibilities.

The RCMP — who maintain there’s no evidence the children were abducted, and that the two wandered away from their home in Lansdowne Station, N.S. — have deployed helicopters, drones and investigative teams in the search, with no success so far.

I didn’t read all of the posts here; too many, I’m afraid-please humor my question that I’m certain has already been answered…what was the weather like on the day the search began? What about the previous two days?

I'd still be a mental case, but I digress. Some of you might be of greater fortitude than me.

Yeah I get that, but they still, legally, will look into the cell pings, because they're obligated to.

Last two days has been very rainy. It's been pretty rainy this whole time, off and on. Temperature has been pretty steady above 2 going as high as 18, so far as I can recall.

Only adding clarification about the facts.
I would be on edge too if my kids went a missing.

Just like I would be on edge if I did something bad to them, reported them missing and within 24 hours hear that major crimes is investigating.

Plenty of reasons to end up in an ambulance, only time will tell what that reason was.

That’s why I wondered if MBM joined her mom who was in the back of the ambulance. It’s a strange situation that the adult couple, parents of one younger child, were of no comfort or support to each other.

It's one of those "mileage may vary" situations, but three years isn't enough for me, I'd absolutely dip and get back to my family and community. People have children together after one night at a bar, the fact that they have a child really means nothing as to their strength of connection.

Yes, thank you. It’s the source of something I recall reading earlier (pasted below). So if in fact LE is attempting to identify cellphones that can be traced to the yard, would that not be indicative of investigating the possibility of an abduction?

“RCMP search the dense forest behind the home in a helicopter. Plainclothes investigators arrive again to speak with Mr. Martell. “Basically at this point they just want to look at any tech that could help match up any phones that came into the yard,” he said.”
Not necessarily. The two kids could be safely secreted. Sounds crazy. But RCMP will take those digital leads and follow-up/go through both parent’s contacts, etc., just the same.

The mom was most probably giving the ambulance/paramedics the kids' medical history. Are they diabetic, do they have allergies, have they had any surgeries, are you giving them any medications on a regular basis, autisim spectrum hmmm are you giving any medications for that, Lily had a cough ... were you giving any medications for that. They were expecting that the searches might locate the children at any time and they need this type of information.

The children went missing on May 2. The RCMP did not say, nor suggest, that the children were deceased on May 3.

In fact, I have yet to hear any investigator declare that a missing person is deceased, as they cannot know that without a body.

On May 3, during a S&R briefing, the mother left the briefing, then left the property. There is no reason for her decision to leave.

Jack Sullivan has short, blond hair and is wearing blue dinosaur boots. Martell said he had not seen Jack on Friday morning, but believed he was wearing a brown shirt and pants with a pull-up diaper underneath.

May 7
"As of today, a multi-agency search for two missing children, six-year-old Lily Sullivan and four-year-old Jack Sullivan, will be scaled back.

Lily and Jack were reported missing on May 2, at approximately 10 a.m. It's believed they wandered away from their home on Gairloch Rd. in Lansdown Station, Pictou County."

She left a briefing about her children halfway through to go in the ambulance.

That medical info is all stuff they would’ve gotten the first day as soon as they were on scene if not over the phone during the first phone call.

Which is problematic that with 2 adults in the home neither had seen their 4 year-old before 10 am to know what he was wearing. And both were in a position they couldn't hear the kids step outside and play in small square footage.

As unusual as a stranger abduction would be, for a kidnapper to happen to be outside a rural home and the kids happened to be outside at the same time, if feels like the stars would all need to align for the parents story to be true.

Happened to be home sick from school when they'd normally be gone already.

Two adults in the trailer and neither could say with certainty what the kids were wearing (maybe Lily was in pink) or what they were doing.

Two kids and both decided to go out to play, despite mom saying they knew they weren't allowed out alone, and a grandmother and uncle nearby didn't see them (that we know of).

Two kids that at some point both decided to leave their fenced yard and not visit grandma, or walk down the road where a neighbor might see, but instead head into thick woods.

Two kids that didn't cry out for help or drop anything.

I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but I live 45 min from anything. I cannot see my neighbors from my house. But we can hear louder noises like mowers, dogs barking, if someone screamed for help. Despite being so rural it's not without life. People go on walks, people work in their yards and sit on porches. Occasional vehicles will go by especially logging trucks.

Seems like things had to be just so for them to disappear so completely.
