1. Mr. Pierre gave multiple interviews, and almost certainly mentioned that they were shot to some journalists. His CBC interview was edited, probably at the request of RCMP.

He said that LF had a little wound on the left (he appeared to indicate an area near the hip). When asked about CD, he just made a gesture to the side of his face/head.

So you think both are true? I don't know if that's possible, I think one or the other could be true, but I'm not sure that logistically both can be.

I'm not sure either. I don't know about the boat being theirs either. I do think it was them at the dump.

I say bring in some Australian police or American Police heck even the FBI as this is an International case isn't it? Just wondering out loud...

Have we learned nothing from the arrogance of colonization? How can bringing the Australian, American or FBI police, wonderful people though they may be, have the expertise needed to comprehend the Nelson River?

There are people who live along the river, who called it Powinini-gow for thousands of years before Nelson died there and left his name behind. From what I see, the RCMP tapped into that true expertise. They took a local guide who, imo, took them to the place where the Powinini-gow would spit out the dead.

The hunt isn't over, but if the suspects are still in the area, there are local resources that can be counted on to continue the work.

I wouldn't base an accurate timeline on CBC. I have seen errors in their other stories on dates that were clearly wrong. Just because it's CBC doesn't mean it's accurate. Sometimes it's less accurate. Just saying. I would go with the RCMP or Globe and Mail's timeline.

Yeah, and besides, even though it's been a couple of weeks, the case is hardly cold at this point. I'm sure the Australian police and the FBI have plenty of unsolved crimes, murders, and missing people of their own to deal with. It's not international even though tourists were murdered here. Unfortunately, people do get murdered while travelling abroad, it's sad, but it happens.

RCMP Cpl. Julie Courchaine said they are investigating all possibilities including the possibility that the suspects might have drowned. She said there is no evidence to directly link the boat to the two suspects but said the items they found nearby are linked to them.

A police helicopter initially spotted the boat and a follow-up search in the area uncovered the items directly linked to the two.
