The timeline for the boat doesn't really work, does it? RAV4 was ditched July 22. Boat was newly found in August.

The distance from Moose Jaw Saskatchewan to Gillam Manitoba by car is 1363 km. The estimated driving time for the trip is 25 h and the main road for this route is the 280 Highway.
Distance from Moose Jaw to Gillam - Canada

I can't see them hitchhiking for 25 hours without being recognized. They'd need a car. I hope this sighting isn't accurate or we'll soon learn of another dead person.

Is there a link for this possible Moose Jaw sighting?

It's pretty sad that innocent people are being "taken down" because of social media hysteria and false tips. Parents stopped at gunpoint with their kids in the car???People on social media that get hyped up over nothing and egg each on to report false leads should wake up and understand that their craziness has real life impacts on people that have nothing to do with this.

I have looked at some local pages, and I don't see anything about the Moose Jaw tip this morning. It could be that the tip was called in, but after looking at surveillance, they know it wasn't them. It's good that people are still watching and looking. The tip that led to the couple being stopped at gunpoint... without more info about what the tip was, it seems excessive considering the descriptions doesn't match, but I doubt the RCMP were able to tell that from behind the car, so they were doing what they thought was necessary in case it was them, but ugggh!

RCMP are blocking access to provincial road 290, south of the search area and just south of where the torched Toyota was found two weeks ago. The dive team was in the Nelson River on Sunday and will not be doing more dives, the RCMP say.

The exact same rumor on twitter too... The guy seems to be convinced of what he is saying. I don't know if it is the same person from the FB post.

No more dives but road is still blocked off.

RCMP say roadblock is to allow officers to conduct additional searches of the area. There used to be an information checkpoint at 290/280 junction, but it was taken down last week. @meltait and I have been here for 11 days & have not seen a police roadblock before

RCMP add that there were no significant developments in the manhunt overnight and don't expect to release more info on the case today. It is not known if the rowboat that was found Friday is linked to the fugitives

I am disturbed by the video of this encounter following a "tip" from a Tisdale, SK gas station.

A First Nation couple was in the car, with a baby and a toddler in the back. The racist tipster said the two fugitives were in the backseat!

Two RCMP vehicles pursued them from Tisdale to Watson, and the video explains the encounter. It could have ended badly with different police or driver.

Tisdale is near the April 6, 2018 Humboldt hockey team bus accident site. Watson reminded me of Watson Lake, Yukon.

IMO in this case, it was a tip that was called in, and 12 hours later, if there was any validity to the tip, we would know. The area where the tip came in from, there is surveillance, so I think it's safe to assume that it was checked out, and because we have not heard anything, it was unfounded.

Being from the area, it should also be stated that like a lot of smaller places across Canada, we do not have a local tv station, we don't even have a local newspaper anymore. We do have local websites, and we have a few radio stations, but it's far from good "reporting", and it's usually a day or 2 late. It's sad, but it's the way it is.

Ultimately, I think it's good that people are still on the look out for them. There is an extremely high presence of RCMP in Saskatchewan this weekend, I think it's because of the long weekend, but I would be shocked if the RCMP aren't also keeping their eyes peeled looking for these 2. We were stopped by the RCMP in a small town, they asked us a few questions, looked in the truck quickly and let us carry on, first time in my 20 years being here, first time in my hubby's 30+ years being here.

Very few suits are worn in the Yukon, maybe if you’re a lawyer, going to court but not much else. I laughed when I initially read the suit could be for a job interview up here. Surely they’d done a bit of research and would quickly figure it out?

Looking for some help following the trail of the "suit". I remember BS's father stating he bought a suit, but do we know for sure he took it with him on the trip? I know a "suit"was seen in the Rav 4 when it was stopped at the checkpoint. I foolishly assumed the suit seen in the Rav 4 belonged to LD. Mr Dyck was a lecturing professor, seemed logical to me he may have brought a suit with him. Do we know for certain that BS took "his" suit with him when he left home?

What I wonder, based on the river and the exact nature of the rapids - if a marine crash expert is able to determine if the boat’s damage indicates it had weight in it at the time it hit the rapids. For example an empty boat would be quite light and buoyant versus a boat carrying one or two people.

That cop telling a very young child to watch their sibling and then closing the door on her/him was saddening. Totally unprofessional. IMO clearly traumatizing for the children too.

These Saskatchewan sighting stories are becoming confusing imo. The CBC report about people getting stopped refers to “last Wednesday”. Or maybe it was Wed, July 24th when the Meadow Lake sighting was first announced by the RCMP.

If there was another sighting on video. Would it be known to the public? Just wondering if police have a positive tip. Being they are not diving anymore.
