I’m finally verified and back in action, I believe my deleted posts are in the process of being reinstated. I won’t be keeping a super close eye on the thread as I have a busy week but anyone can feel free to tag me if they need confirmation of anything or want me to touch base with sources. I can’t help much with any of the BC side of the investigation but I’m pretty well sourced on the Manitoba side of things.

I can confirm it was flipped while being removed from the ditch.

Welcome back! I appreciate that you took the steps and got verified, because I found your posts very informative, and you have a unique perspective on many of the aspects of this case that probably none of the rest of us have.

I have to say something about Port Alberni's hard-luck economy; not sure where you are reading that. In Vancouver and the lower mainlaind as we call it, housing is at a premium. That includes Port Alberni. Google real estate there. The people that live there are comfortable, and there are many leaving our messed up housing costs in Vancouver to escape to places like Powell River.

For all the talk here in this forum of reasons why BS and KM left Port Alberni to look for work...

Port Alberni being on Vancouver Island, and being a port, etc. I shall not refer to it by name again. It is now PA, which causes confusion with Saskatchewan, which I am not referring to, as annotated now.

Please, not Powell River.

GUILTY requires confirmed facts and evidence, to date neither has been publically provided.

JMO JMO JMO

I choose to wait for PROOF
I find it difficult to understand why so many here at WS are not interested in that proof and are so ready to label them guilty?
Is WS not about facts and confirmed evidence.
I guess I must have missed something, but I will still wait for proof.
Just not ready to jump on the guilty bandwagon yet.

while the more facts the better, it doesn't take all of them to form an opinion

For those saying that all Canadians trust our LE - what? I’m not even sure we’re living in the same Canada right now, lol.

One thing is true though: Canadians have a love/hate relationship with the RCMP. My late husband was an mountie for 30 years but he rarely introduced himself as such. When strangers asked what his profession was, he’d often say he was a “civil servant” followed by a rapid subject change. Oddly, with Americans he was more forthright, I think Americans have a more romanticized view of the RCMP, you know - red serge and horses and always get their man. Sometimes Canadians like to push that romanticized view too, when it suits us. But that’s not the reality. A lot … a LOT … of Canadians distrust and lack faith in the RCMP, I’ve seen it with my own eyes. And not just the ones who’ve been in trouble with the law.

Knowing just a little bit (a very little bit!) about the RCMP and its workings, with true Canadian political correctness I think it’s safe to say, and my late husband would be the first to admit: there’s always room for improvement. As mentioned above, they have been working on transparency, for example, because historically transparency has been a huge issue.

I, for one, would sure appreciate it if they were more forthcoming in this case and I think that eventually they will be, even if only in their limited way.

I think you probably have a different experience simply because your husband was LE. Others of us maybe have not been exposed to that same level of criticism and distrust. I don't think I personally know anyone who 'hates cops'. Also, in some other provinces we may have a more romantic view of the RCMP simply because we dont deal with them on the daily.

Yes, how they went from bungling so many murders in that area, to being able to so quickly pin these murders on KM and BS. They never explained also why the supposed truck they were driving was missing the camper. I think I've read they insist the camper was there, but you can clearly see in the photos it's not. Is it invisible? It certainly didn't burn, so why is the camper missing? Also, manner of death for Dyck, at first they said nothing, then I believe they said gun shot, then after KM and BS were found, they said they don't want to talk about Dyck's manner of death out of respect for the family. And now they are saying they are working hard to get the evidence that connects Fowler & Deese murders to KM & BS, when it sounded initially like they were so certain. Very strange.

Wondering what was different about this found item from the other ones?
RCMP find item that may be connected to McLeod and Schmegelsky investigation
August 10, 2019 5:44PM EDT
"GILLAM, Man. - RCMP say they've found an item that could be relevant to their investigation into two murder suspects whose bodies they believe they located earlier in the week."
"He did not say what the item found Friday was, but says it “may be of interest to the investigation” and “will have to be examined to determine its relevance.”

oh wow interesting

Because of the high cost of housing, and low paying jobs and 🤬🤬🤬🤬 don't forget the other life costs that mess you up; I would "have a vacation with GTFO" as soon as I could.

Also, regarding the RAV4, I've seen pictures of it on fire in a field, right side up. And I've seen photos of it upside down. How did it go from right side up to upside down?

Is there a photo of it burned? Every single photo I've seen shows only an empty bed on the back of the truck. Was it burned away from the pickup truck in a different location? There are a lot of threads to get through, this is a popular topic.

Is the photo in this news article supposedly the burned contents of the camper?

I was making a point by highlighting the random July 6 coincidence.

These fugitives almost certainly didn't know any of these victims. I am 99% certain about Prof. Dyck, and 95% certain about Lucas and Chynna. The other 5% is the small chance that they came across the couple in Pink Mountain or Fort Nelson.

However ... RCMP and FBI should check if KM/BS was asked by someone to arrive in Yukon on July 15. The reason is complex but related to LF/CD trip to Peru in Sept/Oct 2018. LE has my emails.

NZ murder victim Grace Millane was in Peru during that time, completing an errand originally given to Jesse Galganov in Sept/Oct 2017. Galganov disappeared and his body hasn't been found.

Are you suggesting couriers?

I guess they weren't concerned about damaging the possible crime scene?

Awesome! I'm glad you got verified. I've enjoyed your posts and perspectives and am looking forward to more from you when you have time. :)

Simplified explanation of a very unlikely theory, which I still requested LE to check. I write down the steps, to show how far-fetched it will appear to any investigator.

1. KM/BS was asked by someone to arrive in Watson Lake on July 15 morning, or Whitehorse on July 15 afternoon. That person knew they are ready to kill.

2. That person already knew that LF/CD would be sleeping July 14/15 overnight along their BC-Yukon route, beside a "sabotaged" blue van.

3. But why? LF/CD were mistaken to be part of a global "volunteer" group because they were in similar places as other known members, specially during Summer 2017 in Europe, and Sept 2018 in Peru.

Well, one side of the PA equation could have sunshine, rainbows and pots of gold headed their way with all those proposed projects. I'd even throw in a unicorn, a leprechaun and lollipops. Things could be very prosperous if half those projects go ahead.

Interesting. So how did their personal items end up further away from the RAV4 from them? Were they walking along the shoreline after following the creek? I can also see a system of trails or roads in the area where their bodies were found. They could have easily been transported there, if they didn't use those to travel to their final 'resting place'. It still doesn't explain how personal items were further downstream along the river.

Google Maps

I don't know. Maybe they took the boat as far as the rapids, went to shore, and sent the boat through the rapids. They were found within 1km of their personal belongings.

It's not a port; a fishing hub maybe.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/b-c-homicide-suspects-manitoba-1.5222542

I would like to point out that Billy Beardy found a burning vehicle in northern Manitoba. That vehicle was a Rav4, for anyone following along. Keys were left on the ground in Manitoba, where the RaV4 was discovered in flames. The burnt Rav4 was towed away, eventually making its way further south in Manitoba. The keys at the scene of the torched Rav4 had apparently been left at the crime scene for quite some time...more than a week before anyone returned to collect them as evidence. And yes, arson of a stolen vehicle is a crime scene, especially if it is arson of a stolen vehicle belonging to a murder victim.

That is all for now.

I question whether you could even determine if the keys were for the burned out shell of the Rav4. Looking at my plastic car and imagining what would happen if it was burned using gasoline and propane as the accelerants, I imagine only the manufacturer could match the keys to the serial number. I think the keys would also be damaged by the fire. Just my uneducated guess.

Are you suggesting couriers?
Not at all. Check Jesse Galganov bio. Grace Millane was carrying an USB drive, which would update other USB drives. Nothing illegal, only political.

Lucas Fowler wouldn't work in a ranch during the Canadian winter if he was a courier. Chynna worked hard in a restaurant, even on mother's day, to save for this adventure.

Yes, we have discussed this. He was a weird guy with a lot of weird ideas. And he was looking for an identity to belong to and to seem "edgy"/"badass". A poster the other day who works in the field said young people are often drawn to gangs, terrorist organizations, and other hate groups less because of the ideology itself, and more because they feel alienated from their families and communities and want to feel accepted and important. He wasn't even ideologically consistent with what he identified with -- Nazis, Russians, Communism, the Azov Battalion -- these contradict each other. We would expect a lot more consistency in his beliefs if this was ideologically motivated. There's no evidence as the RCMP said that the murders were targeted. I could be wrong but so far the evidence points to untreated mental illness and nonspecific rage at the world. JMO.
What teenager has fully developed ideological beliefs? He didn't even know about his Ukrainian heritage. He was just flailing around trying to find an ideological home, was trying to create a militia around it and include others in it, and started gearing up and practicing for it.

None of the domestic terrorists we've seen south of the border (and a few here who have murdered) had a solidly coherent belief system either.
