What are we to make from the fact that a similar vehicle to the one they were supposedly last spotted in was found on fire in Manitoba Monday evening and the RCMP are there in numbers, still today I believe, scouring the area?

Would it be presumptuous to assume that might imply they have no reason to believe they've fled further one direction or another?

Edit: Nevermind. Just saw the warning issued from Ontario LE.

The Steam account thing is silly. They have over 90 million active users every month. It's probably the most popular digital distribution platform for computer games.

To compare, it'd be like finding out that an accused murderer had a Netflix account.

Missing teens now suspects in 3 deaths on northern B.C. highways

Just saw RCMP comments discussing other cases that have been mentioned in these threads as being possibly related but are not (2 missing Surrey, B.C. men/Scurr/Provencher AND Derek Whisenand):

Other cases not believed to be related
"Before Mounties made the announcement about the missing teens, Shoihet addressed two other cases that have been cause for speculation online".

"In an email to CTV News Tuesday morning, she said two missing Surrey, B.C. men are not thought to be tied to the northern B.C. deaths".

"Richard Scurr and Ryan Provencher, both in their late 30s, were last seen in Surrey on July 17, and haven't been heard from since. Concerns were elevated when their white Jeep Cherokee was discovered in B.C.'s Southern Interior. It was empty at the time".

"But the RCMP said they've confirmed their disappearance is not connected to the deaths last week".

"The RCMP was also asked about a man wanted for murder in Texas, who is believed to have crossed the border into Manitoba late last month".

"Mounties said last week Derek Whisenand is believed to have entered Manitoba near Winkler, and travelled on to Winnipeg. He may have headed east, they said".

"Shoihet told CTV Tuesday that a number of sources have provided information and it's been passed on to investigators, but that she did not believe he was being looked at in relation to the other cases".

Exactly. I have a Steam account and haven't killed anyone that I know of.

Just how long do these guys think they can keep this up? Any money they have, they will have to steal. Any transportation they get will be stolen and only temporary since it eventually will be identified. So figure every 2 or 3 days they have to steal another car(hopefully without hurting anyone). They’ve got to eat which requires them to chance being seen at least twice a day.
They could hold up in a cabin in some remote area but they don’t particularly strike me as the type to survive by hunting...need a rifle and ammo for that anyway.
If they are indeed trying to escape and not setup a “go out in a blaze of glory” ending, I think they have to be heading south. A Canadian winter only complicates their trying to survive if they make it that long. US LE will be looking hard for them too. Mexico less so. Central and South America, they are gone. A long trip but what choice do they have? I think this might be their plan now. I also think the chances of it succeeding are zero.

At this point, they might well be easy to pick out of a crowd after a week without showering....

Lol.. I don’t even know what steam is but assuming someone will commit mass aboriginal genocide is preposterous solely by having a gaming account and posting some offensive photos.

So again, that message was about the immediate jump from murder suspect to premeditated murder spree to genocide.

I mentioned the presumption of innocence because it is a good reminder to stick to the facts at hand, that is why it exists.

Having a steam account doesn't make you a serial killer on a murder spree just because Dellen Millard was one.

If someone can point to some evidence that they are indeed serial killers on a rampage or genocidal maniacs out to kill native americans I'd love to see it.

Prince Harry wore a swastika arm band, omg! I knew he was a genocidal maniac, damn royals!

They had facebook accounts, come to think of it Dellen Millard did too, omg, we're all serial killers

the police say they are suspects in at least three murders and have issued safety warnings about them
three murders makes them serial killers

People on a crime discussion board will bring ideas to the board to discuss. That's what we're here for.

While I don't want to make the leap to a mass killing with this duo yet, I do recall at least one other case when a lone voice was linking a killer in one case to a killer in another case - and I thought that idea was unfounded and absurd. Turns out the person was right!

I learned my lesson that while I might not buy into someone's crazy new idea, I might be wrong in scoffing it (and scoffing isn't nice anyway).

I've posted some crazy ideas as they popped into my head and I'm always appreciative when someone calmly brings me back to reality or quietly ignores me, lol - rather than making me feel dumb.

Just as speculation while we wait for something more concrete from LE, is anyone on here familiar with that region of northern Manitoba near Gillam? Is it like in northern Ontario: swampy, muskeg, thick forest?

If we can accept for a moment that is the Rav4 at Fox Lake and if the two were not able to get another vehicle and fled into the woods: what are the chances they would find a cabin out there just wandering around the forest? And if they are lost or die out there, what are the chances of them ever being found? I had a relative go missing in Nova Scotia while hunting and he has never been found...and that was a relatively contained and searchable forest area.

Does anyone know what their user names or characters looked like on this game?
Steam isnt a game. It's a video game platform, essentially a store that sells games. It's the biggest online video game retailers. There are millions and millions of users. Virtually almost every gamer aged 15-40 have a steam account

It sounds to me as though the burned vehicle found in Gillam did belong to the third victim and that back-checking the registration through the VIN number gave LE information to find him with.
That’s what I was thinking as well.
