Can someone please tell me which "camps" we're in now?

We have:

1. Acting out a fantasy, living out a video game in real time.

2. Thrill killers.
Just googled that. Thanks for the info. They certainly don't look like they're trying to conceal themselves. I looked at google maps view of the Co-op Hardware store, I don't see any ground level cameras at the entrance. Am I to understand they were under surveillance then?
Here's the streetview with a zoom on the entrance:
Google Maps
yes, it seems like there are no cameras outside-

3. Drug use.

Please add and amend. It's tough to keep up.

•Seems BS was "spoiled"
Seems his mother was "afraid of his outbursts"
•Seems when he played online games, more than actually compete, he would dig around for personal details about his opponents then use the info to harass them into quitting.

It could be that his mother wasn’t a great mother. Documents show animosity between the mother and the father. It looks as though she tried to prevent the father access to him. Her “letter” to her son pleading with him to come home because they loved him was actually meant as a snub to her ex husband in my opinion. There was nothing personal or caring directed to her son. It has been said that he went to live with his father a couple years ago (which didn’t work well) and that after he went back home to live with his mother he left to live with his grandmother. Neighbours say that he seemed to be caring and was often seen helping his grandmother around the house/yard.

As for his gaming style. I see kids pull that kinda crap in hockey or basketball all the time, and for the most part those kids are considered competitive and winners. Is it such a bad thing that he did the same type of thing in his gaming?

If McLeod and Schmegelsky are in the Gillam area and alive, I think that they have to be in a cabin that they came across quite accidentally and that for whatever reason hasn’t been searched yet, or somewhere along the Nelson River. I believe that other scenarios, without a topo map and orienteering skills, mean that they are dead or close to it, quite possibly from hypothermia.

If they got out of Gillam, they could be anywhere in Canada. The scenario that the RCMP has raised - someone giving them a lift and not coming forward - is entirely possible. There are many reasons why someone would prefer to say nothing - suspended driver’s license, outstanding criminal charge, a certain empathy for McLeod and Schmegelsky, even interest in watching this play out.

This weekend’s canvass of local homeowners, if it comes up blank, will exclude one more scenario.

Hypothermic and coming down from adrenalin. Double whammy.

I am on my way to Chynna’s funeral. She was one of my daughter’s best childhood friends.
Please pray for this grief stricken community.
I am so sorry for your unbearable loss. Prayers and much love to everyone suffering from this completely senseless tragedy RIP Chynna Deese

This is hard. I think of the three victims - such beautiful, loving people with so much to offer the world, their lives cruelly taken, probably by these two thugs.

Hypothermic and coming down from adrenalin.

unless they've been able to get good amounts of sleep, the adrenaline wore off days a go but they would be running on empty

OH SNAP it was Cathulu. I just lost so many nerd points. My friends would be disappointed.
I'm disappointed too! I hoped there'd been a more recent sighting that I'd missed.
the shirt says "a wild cthulu appears!"

When you encounter a monster in Pokemon it always says "a wild "blank" appears"

IE: "A wild Pikcahu appears"
Ah, thanks! Not a Pokemon person and didn't catch that reference.

In terms of being fed, they do cannibalism in the game.

Oh geez. Let's not go there. Although if they want to turn on each other they can have at it.

the conditions over the last 72 hours have been brutal
id consider this a high possibility if they are stuck without shelter and in the clothes they have on within the videos

If they are in the Gillam area in those clothes without shelter for five days, and given the weather, they are pretty definitely dead.

Likely no public WiFi at the camps and especially not up north but definitely at McDonald's. I mean, there might be a few public WiFi's but I doubt it. I travel from BC to Sask often and I rarely see advertised WiFi at our campsites and definitely not at the free ones.
There are wifi at some campsites in Alberta and in some of the National Parks. Sometimes one must pay extra for the wifi and other times it is free.

As much as it seems unlikely that they could survive off small game, Chris McCandless (at least according to his diary, and I think this was verified) killed a ton of birds, squirrels, etc.
Chris McCandless raided local hunting cabins, but he did scavenge his own amanita mushrooms judging from his photos.

Her “letter” to her son pleading with him to come home because they loved him was actually meant as a snub to her ex husband in my opinion. There was nothing personal or caring directed to her son.

Yes I had to re-read it but you are somewhat right. "We miss, and love HIM dearly" instead of "We miss, and love YOU dearly". It was written more for the press to counter the father's claims, than for her son.

Obviously they were not expecting to be gaming the whole time, but they certainly could have got some gaming in from time to time. And maybe it wasn't about gaming. Maybe they just wanted to go online.

People I know with RVs take a laptop with them when travelling. If you don't own a laptop, then I guess you have to take your rig if you want some computer time.

Wonder if they have been online gaming since this horrific episode started? Not sure what the privacy standards are on the online sites but am curious if RCMP/FBI could track them or their path? Even if its not possible in real time to track I wonder if its possible to track login by location? I would doubt they would be setup with VPN or encryption and they are probably on open wifi. Hope LE is attempting all angles to track these 2 suspects.

I'm not either, really. I just saw the "a ____ appears" and assumed it was Pokémon. I am aware of Cathulu but I've only ever seen it spelled as "Cthulu" so I think that's why it slipped by me.

I was disappointed myself when I saw those articles about new co-op footage being released and then realizing it was old footage newly released.

Initially, when this all started playing out, I thought they would find them right away. Now, as days and days pass, I am beginning to think finding them is not something that is going to happen quickly.

I was thinking worst-case scenario (besides more people getting killed) is if the boys are dead in some remote random place. People are rightfully scared they have essentially terrorized a whole country. No one will get closure until they are found, dead, or, alive. If the boys are dead somewhere that will make finding them that much harder if they are in the middle of nowhere.

I'm sure RCMP and everyone involved in searching are exhausted. The fact there has been no sightings in a while is unnerving. They, of course, could be holed up somewhere. I am just realizing this doesn't seem like it's going to end anytime soon.

It appears the army has landed in Gillam from pictures online.

Are you trolling? Nobody said they would be using Wifi while in the woods.
It was a discussion from several pages back ... nothing to do with trolling! As I am just getting caught up as well...I am familiar with the discussion.

RE the 'strange' circles that show up around gilliam on google maps.
TL-DR they are byproduct of industry, specifically power generation
I color coded them in the map so its easy to match a sat map with this power companys digital one

They are, or are related to power generation, specifically bpIII converter stations. The one in gilliam and closer to sundance are likely decommissioned. The one near the Keewatinohk Station is likely still operational, and if you look close on G maps can see a tower structure there.
Seems they just kept moving the dams and stations up the river as they built the road and expanded.

We have lots of video of Fowler and Deese prior to them being found, there isn't anything of Kam and Bryer.
The latter half of this is incorrect; there is video surveillance footage of the suspects (linked and discussed in this thread last night).
