Stan, you mentioned there's a truckers hangout around her neighborhood, was it a pit stop place for them? I wonder if she would've hit up a trucker for a ride to Van or towards east? Not sure how Shannon felt about hitchhiking but maybe she had some cash on her and decided to do a Thelma & Louise style cross-province road trip. I don't think she would, seems a little risky but trying to think outside the box….

The truck stop of days gone by was a husky with a restaurant with seriously great food and pies at the interchange to 17th ave SE just before Deerfoot. The Shamrock and 11th street is the stroll for lower end hookers, so truckers could cruise their larger rigs there instead of downtown. I know that some from the other end of Canada would say she never went to the Shamrock but who knows (not sure if a band was playing that night), sometimes we like to get out of our routine watering holes and be anonymous for awhile. it's very close, convenient and sadly seedy but not in the trendy way.

also, though people did drive out to vansewer for the grey cup, the highway conditions were apparently frightful.

In the FB comments that I posted last night I starred a name that was referenced from a friend as being with Shannon the Tuesday before her disappearance. I am guessing it was the Tuesday from the week prior and not the day before her disappearance.

There is no press release on this assault as of today.

They do mention a high risk SA offender recently released.

IIRC there was a news article about this.. Wasn't there a homicide involving 3 men, assault, turned homicide?

I sleuthed "noon" and yes noon is pm. Noon also rhymes with moon buT we rarely associate the two. I can go to bed now.

Nothing I can find. I wonder if it is an assault on one of the many prostitutes in that area? Sadly, a common occurrence. If it was a stranger assault, it definitely would be reported.

If you look at other family pressers, the 'line-up' and resulting statements are common.

How does one explain the fact that there has been no financial activity, no social-media presence, no sightings and no leads? Why would SB go to the trouble of traveling to an audition, making plans with family, missing work commitments and then vanishing without a trace? Nothing we have heard explains why this could happen.

... after a 3 hour drive, coming home to your broken marriage, from auditioning for a bit part in a 5 minute video for an internet contest that pays $1500 to the winning video maker... that would be enough to make anyone question what they are doing with their life.

Are you referring to Yuk Yuk's? If so, SB stated that it was unfortunate she hadn't arrived back in town soon enough to attend. She wrote that at 9:15pm. So by 9:15pm she was back in Calgary, too late to attend the 'swap' at Yuk Yuk's, and then posted on her own FB at 10:06pm, from wherever she was located at the time. She was seen by estranged husband 2.5 hours later at 12:30am (according to him only). Then missing ever since.

I would wonder if SB heard back from someone saying perhaps, 'hey don't worry, we're all still here, come on over to Yuk Yuk's'.. except that JB says he was with her at 12;30am. Unless she went over to Yuk Yuk's... after 10:06pm.. and then... ?? (if we discount the estranged husband's version of events that night). He would have no reason to state that he was with her at home, if she had never come home, since that would absolve him of being the last to be with her.

He may however, have reason to state that he was with her at 12;30am if perhaps someone else knew they had dropped her off at home at that time and knew his car was there. This is sounding more and more to me like a domestic incident. I wonder if there are any LE at the home, investigating. If there were, then MSM would likely be all over it, so I'm imagining not. If not, why not?

I wonder if anyone responded to her comment of not being able to make the event on Wednesday night, or why or what she was substituting that night with?

Besides debating, has anyone been sleuthing?
