I normally look for which MSM is writing the article, where it originates from.. and if it comes originally from a paper that is known to be more tabloid-ish, I take such things with a grain of salt. In this case however, it is Metro News, and I don't believe they are affiliated with Sun, are they? Please correct me if I am mistaken. So if Metro is the only paper (I can only find it in there, unless... does someone know anywhere else where it appears not just as a 'metro news reports that.. '), then where did they get that tidbit?
And if we look at the paragraph in its entirety, which states the quote below, it creates 2 questions. If the reporter was interviewing SB's sister, he/she reports that EM says 'SB may be in distress', then why not also attribute that other aspect (ie 'messy divorce') to EM as well? If it was NOT EM that gave that impression of a messy divorce, then who was it, why not put his/her name in there as well? Did EM not want her name affiliated with making that comment on the divorce? Was it someone else who asked for complete anonymity? And why would EM say that SB may be in distress? But yet, the same EM would have us believe JB isn't worth even looking into as a suspect (at least that is the impression I have received from things she has been quoted as saying). From some of her comments made, such as on her FB, it sounds as if she finds all of the sleuthing distasteful and unhelpful.. and yet.. where to begin?
Have to begin *some*where, right? And that seems to be the most obvious place for various reasons. (imho it is usually the spouse that ends up being the perp.. he was the last one to see her, which is also apparently a clue, based on history, and she was last seen in her own home, which has also been a clue in other cases, a home which just happens to be shared by the same individual.
To me, there must be some awfully good reason why LE and family do not suspect her estranged husband. I agree that I don't think it has anything to do with who he knows, or wealth, or family, it seems just too difficult nowadays to get away with that kind of favoritism. There has got to be SOME good reason though, I wonder what it is?
Perhaps it bothers just a handful of us, and not really LE, since they are likely inundated with missing people and cases requiring their attention. If there is no sign of anything untoward in this case, no clues on where to begin, then where to begin and how many resources to expend on this case?
"She skipped her weekend rehearsals and engagements, and was last seen in her Inglewood apartment on Wednesday. Burgess is undergoing a messy divorce, and her sister Erin Madill said Burgess may be in distress."
I appreciate what you are saying and I understand completely.
But what I meant by my question is where did the media get the idea that Shannon was in the middle of a messy divorce???
