Well... I can say with 100% certainty that she either left on her own, or fell victim to some sort of criminal element.

What about a crime that was not criminal in nature? ;)

Just putting this here.. seems photos in Fish Creek Park aren't that rare for some groups.. I wonder if this group also pokes them onto the tree branches?

If you find the Facebook posts about the Fish Park photos resembling SB, someone states that they are friends with the photographer. Go to their profile, look for a photographer and you'll find someone who does stuff that fits the bill. I suspect it was him that did the photos, but not sure.

So all of these posts you're seeing are posted to Sb's timeline by people who have their settings to be seen only by friends of friends?

And the family never responds to these posts?

Btw, I'm just wondering if when you asked about creating a FB page for 'Help Find SB', did you get the 'no' answer from one of SB's family members?

Yes friends of friends and no to the family responding.

Isn't that odd in itself? If the family believes that she left on her own accord, would they not be also posting holiday greetings, comments about how she is loved and missed, or even responses to family friend's to thank them for their wishes? Absolute silence is very suspect.

That's what I am saying. Even through Christmas no statuses saying miss you etc.

Yeah, agreed. If her family thought she had 'run away' from her life (I, personally do not think this is the case) they would also be pleading for her to just come home, work things out or say they are there to support her and to please not take such drastic measures as they are worrying about her safety.

I think most of us would send messages if we thought a lost loved one was out there somewhere reading them. Most people would try to convince that person to just come home, no explanations, no questions asked and to at least call one person to relay the message she's alive and healthy.

I'm just not one to believe the philosophy that pleading with a family member who drops off the face of the earth will push them further away. If it was my sister, mother, daughter, I'd be begging them via social media if I had to, for them to give a sign they're in a decent state and just alive. I don't think Shannon would put her family through this. There's quite a few photos of her with her family and they look like a fun and close bunch, JMO.

I spoke with a close friend of SB's that said the family has not said anything to anyone. When he tried to get information from them, his messages were not returned. He said that many people have made inquiries and offers to help, and they were also ignored.

Parallel this case with Jessica Newman's - Family sets up FB group, answers every inquiry and appreciates all offers to help. They also post messages to Jessica in the hope that she is alive and can read them.

If they thought she had left on her own, wouldn't they ask friends to try and reach out to her in hopes she gets in touch? Wouldn't they want to know what her friends are offering to do?

Very odd.

My connection is via one person and I can barely get a response when I ask. Good to know it's not just me. The silence is eerie.

Odd indeed, and there has to be a reason. Maybe advice from LE or even a lawyer. I wonder if the family sought some legal counsel as a 'just in case'.

It sounds like they are being extremely protective and private and that's understandable but it's almost to a point where it seem they do not trust anyone, period. There's that saying 'everyone's a suspect' so maybe that's what they're thinking and keeping any and all info to themselves as they may be suspect of anyone connected to Shannon. One of those people trying to help the family, could be a suspect fishing for info.

Good point. However, if I really want to get in touch with someone, particularly in regards to a personal or sensitive matter, I don't post it on their wall. IIRC, the family didn't post anything on her wall prior to her disappearance either.

What are they going to do? Call her cell phone that the police have?

I usually send a personal message or email to communicate with people about sensitive topics, I don't write it on their walls.

If someone was intentionally trying not to be found, logging into an email account or social-media account in order to retrieve messages, would most likely create a digital trace that would lead back to one's location. LE monitors those things very carefully. People trying not to be found would be especially careful NOT to get caught so easily.

What tropical vacation taken was everyone referring too?

It'd be interesting to know if any of her accounts have been logged into. At the press conference, they were in the process of checking that.

EM went away in January. My guess is, that they planned and paid for the vacation before SB'S disappearance.

LE logs into her FB account. A family member stated that in a plea for help in the beginning. So it's possible she may not even have access to it at this point if she's out there.

Yes ok was making sure that was the one that I knew of. It was her birthday present with her boyfriend. Only the two of them went.

...why would LE logging into her account affect her access?

Depending on how they got in the password might be changed from what she had it to.
