I agree with you, the claim was made by Joe Warmington in the Toronto Sun, citing his "police sources." Possibly the same trusty police sources who gave him the inside scoop on the investigation into the Barry and Honey Sherman case a couple of years ago.

I'm not referencing the article, I believe it's been banned for other reasons.

Agreed additionally most of the local Canadian MSM new organizations have been fairly accurate in their reporting and things that were learned later have been corrected in later stories.

The majority of misinformation has come from the same fringe publications that we see report inaccurate information in many other cases that we follow on this site.

I wish the reporter in this Global TV news clip had followed the WS postings from day one. Every word of her report might hold true BUT in a very early article posted on in WS an identical party was related only it was in 2004. Did they recreate this party again last Saturday night?

Many years ago, when there was a structure fire next door, the neighbour said Wortman acquired the property and turned it into a parking lot.

When the neighbour asked Wortman why he liked that type of vehicle, Wortman replied it was for the “power.”

I bet there's some other suspicious fires in his history.

In the video of him caught changing into the vest that timestamp was about 5 mins. to 11am. So he only had an approximate 25 min. window to get down the road get rammed by HS cruiser, sadly to kill her (and shoot and injure another officer) and steal another vehicle and also to shoot the driver of that vehicle as well? Do we know how far away the incident from video is captured to where his fake cop car is rammed into? I'll look at a map.

I'm working on trying to find the location of the surveillance footage of him putting the vest on. at 10:55 to see how far it is from the location of the crash on hwy 2 in Shubencadie.

I’m not sure where he changed his vest but the tragic gunfire was reportedly exchanged at Shuberacadie. Someone else may have already replied, I’ve not read ahead.

Could this have all started with him getting embarrassed at a gathering with his neighbors and he took it out on his girlfriend? Put on his police uniform, tied her up, attacked her, and she thought he was going to kill her so she escaped and hid in the woods. He is furious that she may have went to their neighbors so he’s looking for her house by house and killing the neighbors?

Reports said his own house was burned. Maybe he thought she was still inside and he killed her first?

Intent can be formed in seconds. He may have created his “list” after the first attack. He figures he has already killed someone, there’s no going back. It’s sick but it’s almost cliche.

I wonder if they didn’t release more information because they didn’t want the public being rude or judgey about neighbors having a get together.

This is probably true but there’s no law against indications of what people might do in the future and he was well beyond his juvenile years. Those who were close to GW are probably feeling horrible by the association, even guilt about what could’ve they done differently.

None of those identified as neighbours seemed the partying type, and were either much older or younger than GW.

However, I recall that there may be 4 people missing but not yet identified.

I believe the RCMP constable rammed him in Shubenacadie (on the hwy). The killer shot Const. Stevenson, dragged her out of the vehicle, and shot her again. (I'm not sure, but I wonder if the other constable was in the same car?) Joe, driving a Tracker on the way to pick up furnace fuel, and apparently unaware of the violence he was approaching, saw there was a collision and came to help. The killer shot him and took the Tracker (the reason the police expected to find him in a Tracker). Apparently, he then went to Gina's place (home?), killed her and took her Mazda. I believe he stopped to refuel twice, but was unsuccessful the first time for some reason. I don't know which vehicle that was in. When he pulled in to refuel the Mazda the last time, there was an unmarked police vehicle with a tactical team also fueling. He didn't see them, but was recognised, at which point he "went for a gun" (perhaps inside the car), and was shot by RCMP.

I was up and down those local roads quite a bit back in the day. I think he simply blew by the Millbrook RCMP because it was on the secondary road (Rte.2) that would get him to where he was going. He probably didn't want to risk travelling on the main divided highway (#102) in case there were roadblocks and not as many exit options. Or, maybe it was the most direct line to get to a targeted victim? He probably didn't know there was cctv where he stopped, most likely wouldn't have cared by that stage. jmo

Who knows, his depravity knew no bounds, maybe there was a thrill factor in driving his phoney ride by the detachment?

When I saw the video I wondered for a second, whether he'd been brazen enough to swap his car at the detachment because I couldn't see decals and the car in the vid has a brush guard on the front which I hadn't heard mention of before.

Looked up driving time from that area to Enfield NS and it says 16 min. 23.5 km

Don’t know how to link to an article on my phone, but CBC has a new article out with some new info - clarifies the vehicle situation (he was driving Gina’s Mazda 3 when he was “apprehended”).....so between the time his mock car was hit and caught fire (approx 11:15) he was able to take the Chev Tracker (Joey’s from some sources), go to Gina’s and kill her (and shoot her dog) and then get to the Enfield gas station to non-chalantly fuel up at 11:24? Luckily the cops recognized him.....bc at that point in time they didn’t know about the Mazda3....lives were saved. Also, when you guys are googling times from one place to another it’s important to remember he was (at times) driving a police car and would be able to easily make the distances more quickly than google maps predicts. All MOO and all that....
