I think it would be pretty random if he just happened to stop at random persons home that was working in the same somewhat unique occupation as him while he was fleeing. I think its likely that he was headed to her home to target her and knew he couldn't keep driving the silver tracker. He knew he had no choice but to leave the tracker there and take her mazda 3. The fact that it needed fuel was just extremely fortunate in order to end the rampage without further loss of life(other than his own of course). JMO

Do we know for a fact the Mazda was hers?

was the Tuck residence set on fire? I have read that the Blair residence and 2 older neighbours house’s were.....haven’t really figured out where the Joy’s fit in.

also - any confirmation that the shooter’s house was set on fire? I believe I read 6 structure fires.....IMO 5 of those were at the original Portapique area and then the corrections officer’s home.

I read on numerous threads that he did burn his house down. What confuses me is that 'his list' was found at his residence, but I don't think it was stated at which one. His denture clinic that he also lived in, or his allegedly burnt down seasonal home? He went around the block killing his neighbors and burning down his homes but I'm not entirely sure of which ones yet. I can try to figure that out though.

Yes. Her friend was interviewed and said she knew it was Gina the moment her Mazda was shown.

His denture clinic that he also lived in, or his allegedly burnt down seasonal home? That’s what I thought. He set houses on fire and waited for his girlfriend to run out.

I don't think I have heard of his being burned by a reputable source either but I'm trying to find one atm.

That could be his motive. Either he thought she was hiding inside, or didn't want to give her the option to return. After he murdered a few people I'm sure he knew that his house was going to be lit up with police so maybe he did it to burn evidence?

Ab01, Thank you for expressing that. It was a very confusing, scary time for the officers involved, we have never had a situation such as this in our small province. My son-in-law was on the scenes and he is angry, tired and heartbroken. The amount of devastation he has seen in the last few days will stay with him and the others forever. They did their best with what they knew at the time, no one can prepare for the carnage this killer has left us with. Please do not criticize the RCMP during this time, they are also grieving and trying to help the families put their loved ones to rest..

Your post made me aware that some of the first responders, including the volunteer firefighters, likely knew the victims or their loved ones.

The list wasn't found until Tuesday. I don't know which house or where though.

I’ve read too many articles today.....but there was one who interviewed a Nathan who said the police were at his house Saturday around midnight. And he was 7th or 8th on the list.

I seen somewhere that the police showed up to every surrounding neighbor to do wellness checks. The article I just posted explains that they told him about the list on Tuesday; he was the seventh or eighth name on his list.

Except then, why didn't police show up at the home of every other name on the list and catch him sooner?

It's common to link two unrelated events: IMO police were swarming the place and for their own reasons chose to station someone near the Nathan guy's house.
