Thanks for all the great pics. Hazel, at first I thought it was something"shiny" in his hand- like a knife or keys- but now, with the blowup photos it looks like a white plastic shopping bag to me...oh my, new thought picturing most of my pockets with forgotten dog bags...

Something from Metro possibly if it was open!!

Looking at it again it looks like he switches the bag to his left hand and then throws something very small. I keep focused on the inset picture in the corner. Anyone else seeing this?
I'm now quite sure he tosses 'something' with his 'right' hand, while on the sidewalk.
That "something" lands on top (or somewhere around) the tree stump, just as he moves past that wooden fence.

Is this a 24 hour Metro?

Just speculating again, but could it be feasible that the victim was carrying a can of pop unopened, it dropped in the attack and he then picked it up and had a swig, then tossed it.

Whatever he throws appears to have had some weight to it.
Whatever that item is, IMO he tosses it because he doesn't want to be seen walking/running with it. There is a lamp post right there, and he knows he could be seen by someone. If the item belongs to the woman or if it is a weapon he used (even a stick), or plastic bag, piece of clothing (maybe a sock), or anything that the woman could describe, he doesn't want to be seen with it, all JMHO.

OK is the guy holding out his keys to unlock a car?

Maybe so bold as to park his own vehicle in that motel parking lot and then if the Metro was 24 hour, stalk the parking lot of Metro just waiting to pounce -- ugh -- makes me feel ill.

My thoughts and prayers are with this victim -- from what we know, it seems she was blindsided. She will surely need the best counselling available, the poor soul.

I have the greatest respect for LE, but we are starting to hear about these horrific attacks/murders just too often and IMO LE needs to now step it up and form a special task force to solve these crimes.

I finally see the guy dropping the object at the end, it looks like a bag. It is the dark object right at the end of the clip. I made a screenshot and circled it.

Thanks Matou. I keep watching that video and wondering, could it be something that goes flying off his right shoe -- he could have wrapped them so that he didn't leave any imprints and then from the running, one slipped off. Just speculating here.

I see that now too, I also think he throws something very small right before that. On UC someone has posted the video in four different formats. The first one shows everything much clearer. I really don't think this is the first time this guy has done this, he doesn't seem very panicked at all.

Max -- could you tell me what UC site is -- thanks!!!

It is a coincidence that SV crime was Orangeville and now this one in Orillia -- as in "Oh Oh".

Thanks to all of you for your descriptions from the video. Are you guys seeing all of this from the black and white video? I cannot see nearly as much as the rest of you are able to see. So, I really appreciate the narrative as we go along.

QUESTION: Is there another video you all are watching where you are able to distinguish odd foot placements, something coming off one of his shoes, what he's holding, the type of pants, etc.?

This whole thing is very unsettling and I agree that LE must step it up and catch whoever is doing this. It's getting worse as time goes on.....

Unsolved Canada, they have a great thread for SV!! It's two pages back I think where I saw the video posted in different formats. The first one was the clearest on my computer.

Many thanks, I'll go have a look. But you know, just from re-watching the black & white video it does seem confusing about his pants. I can understand why LE left out the word pants/jeans/shorts/etc. In some angles it does look as though he's wearing shorts!

OK, I'll go over there and have a look. Thanks so much!

ETA:OK, I must be a moron or something today - I searched "Unsolved Canada" for SV and it brought me right back here! Would some kind soul please give a link to the place where the clearer video is that you guys have been watching? Many thanks in advance!

um, sure hope they aren't used dog bags.

Lol!Not so far...!
actually I was alluding to the possibility that this guy might use "taking the dog for a walk" for quick unquestioned night-time sojourns, a la RW s
tepping out for latetime strolls...

Has anyone seen this blog ,apparently posted by someone who has been questioned by LE and asked for dna in regards to SV?
http://www.suspect4soniavaraschin.com/blog/

OMG....is it just me or did anyone else get the chills running up and down the spine reading this thing? Could THIS be written by the killer himself? Well, of course it could be! And the "they have no clue" part REALLY hit me!

I did the upper part in bold colours because after reading the blog, I was feeling this whole world in 'bold colours'. Strikingly so.......

ETA: My thoughts about the person who wrote the blog:
- he's been DNA tested in the past - hence, has he served time OR been caught for another crime in the past?
- he's REALLY angry!
- he's taunting the police, especially the "easy chick" cop
- he's needing (for lack of a better word) to hurt the family further
- he wants attention
- he failed to give his DNA voluntarily

So many more thoughts.......

----------------------------

And now I just went to Twitter and I found this (probably unrelated but still interesting):

CTVBarrieNews CTV News Barrie
DEVELOPING: Canadian Forces investigating the discovery of a body on the grounds of CFB Borden this morning #cdnforces #Borden

I had the same feeling, but it could just be a troll or troublemaker...or exactly what he kind of seems like...

OK, I've had a while to settle down after reading that thing - his top rant was done on 25th August. Interesting timing. :twocents:
