It was that comment, and the comment about "making arrangments" to pick Hailey up that made me wonder if others were sometimes assigned to transport Hailey to a friend's place as a pick-up point for these two-week visits. Also, Hailey's godmother said CD contacted her right away when she made the discovery on FB. The godmother does not live in the Crowsnest Pass, but in Red Deer, as she stated in a Global-TV interview.
Interestingly, the godmother said Scout is a toy. Parents never call a child's security blanket a toy. They might call it a "lovey".
This could be important to how things unfolded.

When asked to address the abductor, if he happened to be listening, Amanada said, bring her back because if you honestly love that little girl and you took away her father, you dont love her. Shes just a baby. She needs to come home to where shes comfortable, whether or not you have her Scout.
Everybody is worried and its killing us, she said.
Sources close to the Herald indicate that Scout is Haileys name for her security blanket.
