Strange we haven't heard from Baez or Mason yet.

:great: Yep ... we have not heard a "peep" from those two today !

:waitasec: Maybe they didn't expect this ? hee hee hee ...

:floorlaugh::great::floorlaugh:

Maybe because they don't think it's as big of a deal as everyone else does? :waitasec:

Everyone's money train has just been derailed. They all loathe HHJS and really don't like HHJP, and have never been shy about saying so. These are people that don't waste a second complaining when something is done they don't like. It didn't take them long in the past to be outraged at decisions, and this isn't a big deal? Oh yes it is. They all stand to LOSE money now. I can't believe the DT has not come out and said something, or that Cindy hasn't ordered Lippman to make a statement yet.

She was in jail. In her own cell. Monitored 24/7 just like all inmates. She couldn't fart without asking first. How could she NOT be a model inmate? All her decisions were made for her. Now she's out, and on probation, forced to make serious decisions with no one watching her every move. She is going to mess up, IMO.
All true and I hope your last statement comes true but I doubt it. My guess is the Probation officer will monitor casey by phone contact and that is it!

The only way is if Casey is arrested for drunk and disorderly or theft. That won't happen.

I could see someone giving her a job in a restaurant just to increase business. Because you know for a little while people will want say they talked to her personally. It would have to be a restaurant where you pay your bill up front, like IHOP. jmo

Perhaps, but it could just as easily be a negative reaction for a business, too. I'm thinking that with her high disapproval ratings the majority of those people wouldn't do physical harm to her, but, would take delight in seeing her fail. Look at us…we're practically euphoric because she's going to have to serve probation!:woohoo:

I am sure DT is busy drawing up an appeal. No reanonable doubt in my mind.

Can she not do a interview for money now that she's on probation? Why would her probation prevent that?

I wanted to also state that I remember the prison guards has testified that Casey was a model prisoner no problems with her in the 3 years she was in prison so a measly probation is not going to be hard for her especially if that PB officer has a heavy case load and doesn't want to extra work her case would give the PB officer.

No this is probation on paper only, and she will be in Orlando, but she basically will remain underground for a year. I bet the PB officer will agree to come to her once a month, chat and just fill out the paper work of all is great. Heck the PB probably won't even visit her but call her on the phone. Probation is a Joke

She may have been a good prisoner on lock down with no decisions of her own to make but this is real life with many choices. I'm not so sure she can pass up the temptation to party and enter hot body contests. Those are no-no's. For once she is going to be treated like everyone else in her situation. A felon on probation with enough rope to hang herself (so to speak). She's going to have to prove she can live life on the up and up which is something she has no experience with. Probation is not a joke and VOP's are common. We might get to see another type of picture of KC soon... another mug shot perhaps.

Its kind of funny... back in the jailhouse videos, didnt Cindy make some comment about how when it got out of jail she wouldnt have to get a job/work etc... and it said something like "Oh I know that..." HA!

Many of the jobs she would qualify for are done by those having to serve community service - for free.

We have an agency here who helps felons, handicapped etc. get jobs. I suspect the government subsidizes the employer for those wages. Car washes, stocking shelves, busing tables etc. One of the RSO's in my area works in the back part of a car agency helping with oil changes etc. (another reason to make sure house key is not with car key)

I am just so glad she is finally going to be made to do something she and her team do not want her to have to do. It is in her nature to bend or make her own rules so I hope she gets caught doing just that.

ETA I just wonder if the judge would/could take an interest in her probation and ask for followup reports?

Wow, IN must be WAY different from FL!! Here, community service means volunteering for a nonprofit org., NOT working for a for-profit business.

We have Workforce offices across the state that help all kinds of people find jobs, but they do not give any subsidy to employers for hiring their clients.

Wow, they are all avoiding the press. *looks out window* Nope, it's still sunny and nice outside, no apocalypse happening.

Can she not do a interview for money now that she's on probation? Why would her probation prevent that?

Because she was just made boring. She has to live in Orlando, get a job, and she's on probation. What they could possibly interview her about? She's not the infamous acquitted felon who was playing hide and seek anymore. Her money worth just dropped tremendously. She's not Paris Hilton or a starlet doing community service in high heels. She's now boring Casey Anthony. No one is going to pay to talk to her now. She just became way less marketable.

I too was overjoyed this morning when I turned on HLN, saw HHBP and read the text lines running across the screen about the order re: FCA ordered to serve 1 year probation. We deserve to rejoice over this victory. A little.

But then I asked myself: why am I so thrilled about this woman getting a year of probation for everything she REALLY did? Karma has only begun to be served on FCA. In my mind and heart, I continue to hope and pray that true justice will be served. Get a job? Don't drink to excess or take illegal drugs? Live at an address and be responsible for yourself? Sounds to me like the judicial system is doing exactly what FCA's parents should have been doing for years - parenting. I am certain she will have trouble with some or all of this order, because it does not seem that she was able to accept parenting "before." But really, we all must know this order is not nearly enough. I don't want her dead, hurt, or maimed - I never did. I only want FCA alone to be held responsible for any crimes she truly committed against Caylee Anthony. This probation order doesn't touch those as far as I am concerned. Let's not stop looking for true justice, please!

As to the HJBP, I loved his very public smackdown of JB and associates. Still, until he and his court follow up on each and every suggestion and promise of investigation and complaint to the bar made during and (now) after the trial, I will remain uncertain that he is the hero and upholder of justice that I hope him to be.

Please prove us right in our confidence that you are in in fact honorable, JBP, and make JB, CM, and the DT truly responsible for any acts of impropriety or illegality that occurred on their part during this trial. I will regain my faith in the judicial system, at least a little, if this truly happens. Yes, there will be a fight and appeals, and yes, it is exhausting. But by not taking JB et al to task for their lying and manipulation of the judicial system, you will personally be responsible for opening the door to every single attorney or DT trying to do the same thing in every court in Florida.

Sorry, I got all verbose again. Thank you for the order and keep up the good work!

OK here is a what if:

OCSD arrest Casey for lets say drunk and disorderly or theft.. you can bet your sweet butt that her attorney's will file charge of the OCSD for harassment. Another Circus to where the OCSD/DA will not want anything to do with that.

I hope her only practical option for employment is to work for Cheney Mason. The cocky finger-flipper deserves her. Karma.

Probation is a Joke

The jail is suffering from the same budget shortfalls as the rest of the country. A monthly probation check-in takes about 10 minutes and a probation officer sits at their desk and the probationers come to them. My son was asked a standard set of questions regarding contact with LE, alcohol, etc. He was subject to random drug testing even if the crime isn't drug related - and they actually gave him 2. He also was required to show a paycheck stub. It was all very regimented. However, the PO had all the power and was a person to keep happy.

It would be fiscally irresponsible for the PO to go out and do the check-ins at FICA's residence when they could be seeing 10 or 12 probationers who came to them.

Maybe probation is a joke - but VOP is very real and in this high profile case, I would imagine the media and others will be watching this very closely and she won't get any slack - at least I hope that's true. Heck, she might end up getting permission to serve it somewhere else and all this excitement will be for nothing:banghead:

At what point do CM and JB tell her she's on her own. Good luck, have a great life? What is she to them. The trial is over. The other lawsuits are being handled by another attorney, aren't they? I just don't get why the DT continues to coddle her.

Because (cough cough) JB, CM and DCS all believe (cough cough) in their heart of hearts (cough cough) that Casey is innocent. (cough cough)

Sorry, I must have a cold coming on.
