Casey To Serve One Year Probation

Its kind of funny... back in the jailhouse videos, didnt Cindy make some comment about how when it got out of jail she wouldnt have to get a job/work etc... and it said something like "Oh I know that..." HA!

"Hey mom, remember that promise you made? You're going to keep it, right? I won't have to work, remember? You promised!!!!" Guess who is on the phone right now probably having that conversation with her mother, LOL.

I was doing my homework and the news came over my local FL station. I took a break to come here and share with my fellow WS'ers who have been following this case from the beginning like me!! I just need to say WooHOO!! :woohoo: I feel at least a slight bit of vindication that finally she and her lawyers didn't get it all THEIR way! :rocker:
It's a happy Friday, you guys! Now if I didn't have to go back and do my homework

Because she was just made boring. She has to live in Orlando, get a job, and she's on probation. What they could possibly interview her about? She's not the infamous acquitted felon who was playing hide and seek anymore. Her money worth just dropped tremendously. She's not Paris Hilton or a starlet doing community service in high heels. She's now boring Casey Anthony. No one is going to pay to talk to her now. She just became way less marketable.

I disagree. She's marketable as long as she continues to stay in the newscycle. All this does is reinforce that a little more. Now the news agencies have a reason to follow her around, see what she's up too, she if she's going to violate parole.

MOO

Maybe because they don't think it's as big of a deal as everyone else does? :waitasec:

Why try fighting it if it's not that big of a deal? :waitasec:

The strong use of words HJBP used in describing Jose's moral compass as far as upholding the law is a very big deal. :twocents:

Lol what makes you think she wouldn't be exposed to more fancy stuff while on probation? First of all it's not like she's on house arrest with an ankle bracelet and all that.

I think that because her stock was just devalued today. Someone has to pay for the "fancy stuff". They were only willing to pay, IMO, because they saw a dividend down the road. I can't see public interest lasting much longer. No interest, no payday. :twocents:

Three of Anthony's attorneys didn't return phone calls and emails Friday afternoon.[/url]

The $$$money boat "SS CASEY" is sinking fast. And they are to busy bailing to answer a phone right now.:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

The jail is suffering from the same budget shortfalls as the rest of the country. A monthly probation check-in takes about 10 minutes and a probation officer sits at their desk and the probationers come to them. My son was asked a standard set of questions regarding contact with LE, alcohol, etc. He was subject to random drug testing even if the crime isn't drug related - and they actually gave him 2. He also was required to show a paycheck stub. It was all very regimented. However, the PO had all the power and was a person to keep happy.

It would be fiscally irresponsible for the PO to go out and do the check-ins at FICA's residence when they could be seeing 10 or 12 probationers who came to them.

Maybe probation is a joke - but VOP is very real and in this high profile case, I would imagine the media and others will be watching this very closely and she won't get any slack - at least I hope that's true. Heck, she might end up getting permission to serve it somewhere else and all this excitement will be for nothing:banghead:

Why would they test him for drugs if the crime was not drug related?

Of all days to be on the beach...one for Caylee. Bbl

Or Lippman either. Why so silent, guys? Where's the outrage at this? Funny how that is missing so far...

Why would there be outrage from Lippman/the A's? IMO, CA is a bit relieved, because she will at least know where her daugter is for the next year. Once a month, anyway.

Yeah so if she VOP what does she have to serve another 1 to 2 years only? Still hardly justice. The best justice right now would be for us and the media to drop her and this topic like it never happened. Her attorney's would then drop her, and Casey will be casey and that won't end well. No the more we post, the more we watch, the more media reports the more Casey gets what she has always wanted and that is attention. I believe she killed Caylee because Caylee was getting the attention along with Caylee was about to be able to vocally tell what Casey is doing during her so called working.

I've stayed away from posting, watch until now. I'll just go back to that again....I just wish we all could do it, then the media will drop it too.

I wonder if everyone realizes that her having to serve one year probation will probably involve about ONLY 4 or 5 hours TOTAL of her time over the next year. She'll have to meet with her probation officer once a month for maybe 9 of the first 12 months, pay a small fee, fill out a one page questionaire (that asks questions the state will later bundle with othe probationers and sell to a marketing company so the state will be making money off poor little Caylee- wanna boycott Florida?) and then be interviewed. The entire process will be "30 minutes or less." After the first 9 months, as long as she has done what she was supposed to for those months, she'll most likely be allowed to mail the form in. Probation, while a little inconvienant, is really not that big a deal. It would probably take longer to read this thread than the time Casey Anthony will spend with her probation officer.

Because they don't think Casey should suffer any consequences. They helped her get away with murder. I'm sure they are angry that Casey has to serve probation. That's a consequence.

But I am sure that Cindy is relieved she will know where Casey is. Still, Casey is the princess who can do no wrong, so how dare she have to serve probation.

BBM

As long as she's in the 'news' she will have some public interest. You think news agencies are going to ignore her now that she's on probation? They now know the general vicinity of where she'll be, watching to see if they can catch her screwing up.

BBM: Aw ... what a shame ...

According to Ch.6 TV today- Judge Perry stated the Probation Board can allow her to live and serve her probation in any state since she is considered the most hated person in the US. But she must make her first appearance in Orlando to get their permission.

Someone said this really isn't a big deal, well even if it's not for Casey, it sure is for her defense team - whe is now wholly, completly their financial and legal responsibility for a year, more time to argue appeals and waste their time with this mess, THEY have to provide food, lodging, etc, and even more legal assistance once she screws up, if she does, or once the chit hits the fan with her and the public - once again.......I LOVE IT

I'm so glad Casey will have to serve the one-year probation just like anyone else! I hope she will be made to abide by all the terms of probation, including getting a job.

I wonder where she's going to live? Unless someone has paid her up front for a book deal or interview, she doesn't have the money to rent an apartment. Is she going to move in with someone on the DT or into the house on Hopespring Drive with mom and dad?

Could the City or County hire her? They could give her plastic bags and a stick, let her clean trash from Suburban Dr. lot.:maddening:

Works for me.
Maybe Roy Kronk could train her to be a meter reader.
