I don't think she'll break - maybe if she was in the general population.

Do prisoners have computer access?

Not in CA - at least no internet. They have computer access to Law info in prisons but not in jails.

 I agree, Lacey: Climbing the walls.
I think of her often in that tiny cell. Others have said she has it made...no responsibility, etc. I so do not agree.
The only thing she has coming from the outside world now is mail.
Maybe I am just wanting her to be miserable? YES.
She shows the heights of stupidity to throw her life away for this cell she is now living in.
I take assurance now in remembering the sweats she woke up with while spending nights with TonE.:clap::clap:
Also interesting she has no visits scheduled with any family!! Cindy says they are waiting on her.....hmmm

I disagree. Sociopaths adjust just fine to confinement and I do believe she is in that category. I don't think she really cares where she is and I hope the selection of books in that jail is boring.

"Casey can have photographs on her shelf if she wants, but Eyewitness News was told there are no photographs, not even of Caylee.

The family she's stolen from has never put any money in her jail account, so she can't buy things like candy and diet sodas.

No one in her family has asked to visit her. She's made no phone calls."

it seems CA and GA aren't being on the up and up when they said in the video released today something along the lines of "we're waiting on her for when she's ready"...in regards to visiting her in jail. Where's KC's support line???

Per this article http://www.wftv.com/news/17723629/detail.html "Casey Anthony's family will be allowed to visit her in jail. She'll be limited to three video visitations every week. She can't request a visit, a member of her family would have to request it and then Casey would get the option to accept or turn them away. So far, no one has asked to visit her.

She's already been reported to be a model prisoner and a verocious reader - I'm sure she'll use the 'alone' time to read law books - you know for when she gets out and can hook up with Baez, at least thats what she thinks - remember she was morphing into her latest self, a paralegal - she always morphs into the person she wants to be with - this time it's Mr. Baez

I couldn't have said it better myself!

I would personally go nuts in jail without my own personal hygeine products. I noticed Casey looked good going in, her hair all shiny & bouncy. The next morning her hair looks drab and dirty.

I think she will definately miss those items us in the free world are able to choose from. She will have very limited items on hand to use. I hope she doesnt develope a serious itch. Nothing worse than watching a defendant itch & scratch during court proceedings.

You can get those things from the commissary and I'm sure her mother is keeping her commissary fund up.

Strange, isn't it? Where's Cindy's fierce defense of Casey, not to mention that love that is "growing more and more every day"? You would think she'd be beating down that jail door to visit her poor misunderstood daughter.

<snipped>

Yes, prison is a society unto itself, and people have a way of adjusting to any situation. Yep, Anthony will fit in just fine...but that's because once you know the right people, drugs and sex are freely available. After a while, she will be just as used to prison life as she was to outside life. Ever wonder why some people don't WANT to leave prison after being there for a certain amount of years?

Granted, she way have a harder time because of what she did, but there is always someone in prison that will "look the other way" if you can give them what they want.

@Vegas Bride...you pretty much covered what I did except for more details. I didn't see your post before I made mine.

They become "institutionalized."

I don't think she is a suicide risk at all. Me personally could in no way handle being in a solitary........but then nothing about her is normal I guess.
She will not interact with other inmates, but she can still interact with the guards. Don't forget she gets late night visits with Jose too. She doesn't need her family any more - she has Jose.

Not yet anyhow.....

Something doesn't seem right about that....no visits...no money deposited for her....no phone calls....it's like it went from all-out support and defense from GA and CA, to...nothing.

When you are in county jail you're handed a little dinky cup of toothpaste, a toothbrush, a really small bar of nasty soap, and maybe a half ounce of shampoo daily. No makeup at all allowed.

You get a thin little matress with one sheet, a nasty small pillow, and a paper thin blanket like they have on airplanes. If you're cold.....too bad. When you get moved out of county jail to a prison you can have care packages mailed to you with snacks, cheap sneakers with no name brand on them, socks, and a few other things, but not much.

Casey is wayyyyyyy to preppy for prison. Right about now she probably wishes she is dead. She will never tell anybody anything because this was NOT an accident. If it was an accident she would have spilled the beans in the first 24 hours when she was first taken in three months ago.:bang:
I think it depends on the jail. The commissary in our jail has name brand shampoo and conditioner at reasonable prices. Pillows have to be bought and you can get flop shoes and socks, not to mention cookies, other food items and any personal products you want, including real toothpaste. Men are not allowed pillows. (I don' t know why not)

In jail where one of my kids lives you get two warm blankets and a pillow that consists of a couple of newspapers between plastic. Their library had more books, but trashier ones.

maybe jose is relaying the info that she isnt ready to visit with them yet. IM suprised she isnt wanting to see them they are the only people who support her its kindof strange.

Casey will never tell the truth. I guarantee it Just like Scott Peterson. Hes denying even with his wife and sons bodies washed up. Its all about themselves, and always will be.

Scott has also adjusted to prison well. OF course, in CA prison, you can have TV and CD players and books you request. In jail, you get TV in the common area, no CD players (transister radios on Honor Farm only) and you take what books are in the library only. So, in some ways prison is more desirable than jail at least that is what the prisoners I talked to in the jail said.

Oh, in CA prisons, you can get contact visits with family. Not in jail tho

Maybe CA & GA have "cut her loose" and are only going to now spend all their energy on the "find Caylee" thing. That's where the $$ is, after all.

You know, I have been wondering the same thing concentric.

Maybe, "He's Just Not That Into You", "Small Sacrifices", ummmmmm?
:waitasec: Didn't Ted Bundy try to defend himself? And wasn't that in Florida?

Maybe it's just some fictional escapist fodder. I meant something to take her mind to another place. But, now that I think of it, maybe escapist is the factual word, as in: techniques to get the heck outa here.

I'm thinkin Casey should probably avoid all inmates who have scissors and stuff...:loser:

I think we need to differentiate between jail and prison. They are two separate things and funded from different sources. Conditions are very different. I have yet to see a Jail beaty salon.
