$51.26? What a strange amount. Why not $51.27 or $51.25? It sounds like this was a refund or change from something the bondsman may have purchased for Casey. Weird.

I've been told that you have to buy the flip-flops to wear in the shower, or go in barefoot. They give you nothing, you have to buy it, or maybe do favors to get it. just saying. How much you want for that freeze pop?

"OVER $100 DEPOSITED INTO CASEY'S JAIL ACCOUNT

Now Casey Anthony has a little money to play with in jail. Her bail bondsman deposited $51.26 into her jail account Tuesday. That's more than the $50 her father gave her.

So what could Casey buy with her $100-plus from the jail commissary? She could get a moon pie for 60 cents, a bra for $5.99, about the same price she paid at Target, or she could buy herself a sympathy card for $2."

Why would the bail bondsman deposit money in her account? :waitasec:

Yeah, what the heck is that about? BB depositing money. Insane.

Yeah, weird. Why would someone have him do it, and why would he be o.k. with doing it?

Just a possibility - Casey was with the bondman when LE took her into custody. She may have given him the cash she had with her so he could deposit it into her account rather than have LE confiscate and hold it.

OT I laughed out loud, they refer to Baez as a rookie lawyer. You know he is just steaming.

You're really a charitable person... looking at situations with the best possible outlook. Although I think it's a stretch I like that about you. :)

But Chilly, do you think she really gave him .56 cents too? I'm trying to be less cynical but I dunno.

I will say that in order for my sister to receive monies from outside they charge 20.00 to open the account.

I appreciate that, jenny, but in this case I'm actually recalling an experience I had some years back. A person I was driving with was pulled over and knew he was about to be arrested for delinquent child support (he'd been through it before) so before the officer even got to the car he started handing me all his cash and valuables. Casey has also been there/done that. It makes sense to me.

Deposits into the inmates account must be made by money order or certified check. They don't accept cash. Maybe she gave him $52.00 and he subtracted 74 cents for the cost of the money order.

I agree with this. She had her pocketbook when she went into JB's office that day. She probably left it in the BB suv so LE couldn't see what else she had in there.

Good point Chilly, your not allowed to put your money in your account. You just get it when you leave, no interest. Light bulb? I wonder if the prison system has a bank account and they make money off of your money. LOL

Ok, but where did Casey come up with ANY money to leave in her pocketbook? And if she did have some, who did she steal it from this time?

Maybe she had some pocket money for the coke machine at JB's office. That's the only possible explanation because otherwise she was on home confinement.

/channeling Chilly. how am i doing?

What do you want to bet she asked for that money back Cindy took from her wallet, you know the money that she stole from Amy.
