Casey's Parents & Lawyers Bungle Public Relations

TWA................your post is absolutely the most well stated post detailing all the reasons that we've all come to disrespect the Anthony family. Their outrageous behavior has earned that disrespect many times over.

I just wanted to say bravo! :applause::applause::applause::applause:

In Cindys deposition for ZFG she said she had Zanny's phone number in her phone book but happened to not have it with her. Did she ever produce that phone number or phone book I wonder?

Also if she had the phone number why didnt she call it in all the time Casey and Caylee were missing?

Things that make me go hummmm:waitasec:

And things you just can't make up...

I don't know that she ever did produce that...I watched that depo...you know...I really wonder if CA really, really realized that she was under oath...and that meant she needed to tell the truth. It was like a big game to her...a power play...in which...nothing was relevant...

It seems like the apple didn't fall too far from the tree and CA is as much of a liar as KC.

Cindy Anthony explains why people shouldn't think Caylee is dead. (11/06/08)

http://www.wftv.com/video/17923220/index.html

Here CA is trying to explain away the hair with the decomp....she sure can rationalize things away...

Grandmother Cindy Anthony released a statement on Thursday and said, "Leonard Padilla and Tim Miller came to me under false pretenses. Both claiming their sole purpose to find Caylee alive. Tim Miller misrepresented his intentions, and is falsely accusing me of not cooperating with him, when it is evident his motives were to obtain publicity for his organization at the expense of exploiting my granddaughter's disappearance. Tim Miller tried to discredit Kid Finders Network by falsely stating that they tried to pull out of the search for Caylee. Mr. Miller also claims that he spent twelve hours in my home with my family including Casey, when in fact he spent only a few hours total with me and minutes with Casey. This is an example of Tim Miller following in Leonard Padilla's footsteps. Although I feel his organization has a purpose, his misrepresentation has tainted the efforts of so many people with good intentions. I would have expected Tim Miller to speak with me one on one, rather than me hearing him on Nancy Grace."

Tim Miller, the leader of EquuSearch, was asked about the Anthony family not being cooperative, and that they claim searchers are wasting their time.

"I don't want to talk about Casey. I don't want to talk about Cindy. I want to find Caylee, and it's obvious we're not going to get any help from anybody else so we just have to do it ourselves and I think they could make it easier for us, but I don't think that we need them either. We'll do the best we can do without them," Miller said.

The sheriff's office has also donated the use of its airboats and mounted patrol division.

Miller hopes the media will not focus on the tension with the Anthonys, but put out the call for more volunteers.

IIRC she told them the phone number was on a post-it note and she gave it to the 'black gentleman' - Police officer. The Police Officer says that never happened...

I am curious to see if CA still carries on about JG at trial. Hasn't CA implied in e-mails that JG took Caylee to Georgia via his mother, DG, on that plane flight she won't let go of?
If she does attack JG, that will be a mistake, IMO. JG will be believed if not liked by the jury.
If CA would have set her ire towards RM she might have had a better shot at making a sorry excuse for KC's actions seem plausible-There are some things there that might irk a jury, for instance the Globe pics.
Not a reflection on my beliefs about RM, just a suggestion as to how CA and others can further damage KC's case, by going off into Anthony LaLa land tangents-This will put the jury in a position of setting aside CA's testimony as being short on facts and long on covering KC's booty.

It has always seemed odd to me that "jail visits" from family have never been used for the purpose of "changing media and public opinion" of Casey. I guess that maybe I expected the "impossible" of these folks. Maybe there is no way on this earth that the Anthonys could sit down and "stage" a chat/visit for this purpose.

You're right. They can't even make Casey look better in court. Cindy picks horrible clothes for her to wear, and it was like pulling teeth to get Casey to look at Cindy and say I Love You. And when she finally did, it only looked forced and fake. If they can't get her to look good and act like a sympathetic human being in one sentence, there's no way sitting down with her and talking to her for an extended period of time would work either. I don't blame them not visiting her for that reason. There would just be more angry videos for us to look at if they did.

Honestly, Cindy needs to back off and stop sucking up to Casey in court. It looks desperate, and only makes Casey look worse because she refuses to respond and act like she cares one bit for Cindy. It's like Casey is the abuser and Cindy is the abused - Cindy has this sick connection to Casey and can't seem to see Casey for what she really is. I can see her going home and saying, "See, she loves me! She said she loved me in court! She couldn't have done what they said she did because she loves me!"

She's a sick Casey groupie, or at least she's acting like one, and she doesn't realize how pathetic and desperate she looks, and how people dislike her all the more because she's stopped loving Caylee for the person who killed her.

I'm glad it looks like at least GA is not coming to court anymore. Maybe he's finally waking up to how deranged his wife and daughter are.

And I believe because it was the only number Cindy claims to have had, LE would have written the number in his report or investigation pad along with his other notes and not taken the sticky. It is so easy to blame someone else when you know they can't defend themselves. At the time there would have been no physical reason to take the sticky....just copying the number would have been enough. Plus if that WAS the number of ZFG and that WAS the only copy do we really think Cindy would have given it up. The "let's wash the pants, let's clean the car, let's do whatever we have to, to not make this situation look like KC had anything to do with it" Cindy....not in a million years would she have let that sticky out of her home... jmo

-snip-

I'm not sure who is "planning" what Casey's court clothes are, but at least the last few blouses at least haven't been two sizes too small. With the trial about a year away, there is still plenty of time to work on the "look" that Casey will show to a jury.

Casey is most likely not supposed to "communicate" with anyone other than her attorneys, while court is in session. If she wants to communicate, then all she has to do is allow her parents to visit her. The camera is filming, whether they are in the courtroom, or during a jail video visitation.

I don't know who's dressing her either, but she has never looked a sympathetic, wrongly accused person. And OMG the ruffle shirts are killing me. They are not making her look more girly and youthful, instead they're highlighting how not girly and youthful she is. It's like putting a dress on Frankenstein. I guess if she wants more attention to her chest, it's working...I'm not usually someone who comments on clothes, but it strikes me that they haven't tried to make her look more human and friendly. Maybe because of her personality, there's no clothes that can be put on her that can do that. And btw, I'm the most fashion backward person on the planet, so I am not saying this to be catty or snotty. I just think they should try to do a makeover on her and make her look more sympathetic and likable to the jury.

And ITA with the second part. Casey, GA, and CA could easily make arrangements to talk to each other, but don't really want to. What I forgot to add in my last post is that I think Cindy's groupie act is that, just an act. I do think, in a way, that she keeps rationalizing that if Casey loves her she couldn't have done it, but I think she amps up the desperation in the court room, supposedly trying to look like this loving mother that's getting ignored. That's Cindy, always the martyr *eyeroll* I think she also believes getting Casey to do that somehow makes her look human and more innocent, but so far, it's having just the opposite effect.

She should just shut up, sit back, and watch the proceedings. You can support your child and not look like an idiot at the same time. Sheesh.

KC has made fools of her parents time and time again. Giving them clues in those jailhouse tapes, lying to them, ignoring them in court (she could at least look at them and smile), those jailhouse letters, accusations against her father and brother and the very worst is that KC is responsible for the fact they no longer have their granddaughter and they sit in court and practically drool over her as if KC were the most precious thing in the world. I just don't get it.

Has this been confirmed by TM ? I don't understand how they could have used something of Caylee's to find her. Cadaver dogs don't track a person's scent. Tracking dogs follow the scent from shed skin cells as a person moves. These cells can disperse with air movement and heavy rain. Trackers are used fairly quickly after a person goes missing.I've always wondered if this was a mistake made by the media.
CA did plenty to thwart the search for Caylee, but I'm not sure this one is true. JMO
I'm no expert on tracking dogs. I may be wrong. We have an autism service dog that is trained to track our son if he goes missing. We were trained to work with him, thus my limited knowledge.

There are several methods used in training search dogs. Some are trained in scent discrimination, some in tracking, (air or ground) some in cadaver. There are dogs who actually specialize in searching for cadavers that are under water, they ride in boats, their noses to the wind. Others are combined patrol (attack) dogs and some combination of the other techniques. Of course most search dogs are trained in live search. When scent discrimination dogs are used they are given the scent from an article handled by the missing person, and they respond by ignoring other scents in the area, and concentrate on finding the person to whom the sent article belongs.

I always wanted to do a demo here by taking an article from someone coming in to the auditorium, then when everyone is seated, having my dog find them out of the other 1000 or so people in the room. Watching a good dog work is like watching water flow. They are truly a gift... God spelled backwards don't 'ya know! My work dog passed away, and I have not had the opportunity to train another.

It is amazing to watch a dog tracking.
I still don't understand how ,well over a month since Caylee was last seen, an article of clothing from her would help. Especially if they were looking for a body.
If looking for a live Caylee they would need a starting point. In most cases this is where the person was last seen.
Do you believe TES needed an article with Caylee's scent on it to find her body? That makes no sense to me ,from my understanding of how this works.

Hi Miss James, I do not recall when or who said it, but if it is true, what do make of her not giving an article to TES while sending the Teddy bear to Genny so she may have some miraculous magic vision?

You just can't make this stuff up!!!!
It would not surprise me a bit. Cindy made no secret she did not want TES interferring.
While every other family on the planet would beg for their help ,the A's chose to figuratively spit on TM and TES.
Just from a technical standpoint I don't understand why a scent item would be necessary after so much time had passed, they had no point to start live tracking from and the organized searches were obviously for a body.Cadaver dogs would be used for that.
I've seen the reference to CA not supplying a scent item to TES and just wondered if that was confirmed.
And ITA. If this was a book of fiction the public would think the author was nuts ,trying to pass so much bunk off on his readers.
I want to add my thanks for all the videos you supply to remind us of the finer points we may have forgotten.I appreciate all your hard work !

A scent item could be helpful in any number of ways. For example......as portions of clothing were found with Caylee's remains, had an article with Caylee's scent been made available, then perhaps the dog may have been able to lead the team to a body (in near proximity to those clothing articles found nearby). A scent item could direct searchers to a secondary location.
