So George visited with Casey at jail yesterday, and emerged to tell the media that she has written a letter, and attorney Baez is in possession of it.

Except, Baez said that he knows nothing of any such letter, and all the talk about it is absurd.

Dang...just another bald-faced lie from George Anthony.

George Anthony visited his daughter in the Orange County jail, Sunday, to try and get more answers about his granddaughter's disappearance.

When George Anthony emerged from the emotional visit he said he had learned nothing new, but he did say that Casey had given her attorney a letter that possibly contained clues about Caylee’s disappearance.

However, when Chanel 9 talked to Casey Anthony’s attorney, he said all of the talk about the letter is absurd. He said the letter doesn’t exist and he never asked for one in the first place.

Not sure who killed her, but for a minute...just suppose we put this on Cindy. From that angle...look at the situation. Everything was set up knowing that Casey would be arrested. The story was in place about "Zanny". They knew this would only fly for a few days. They had 31 days to cover up things except they forgot about the gas cans, the report, the neighbor, and a few loose ends. Silence was the plan all along. Don't say a word and with mom on the outside (she is the one with the purse strings)...she is the one who will get you out of this mess. Casey would never get out if mom was in jail and she knows it. She cannot afford to give Cindy up to them.

Listen to the 911 calls. Cindy is clearly upset, she clearly believes Casey did something to her granddaughter. She's not that good an actress.

It's the only time she's told the truth, IMO.

Casey did this alone. I thought that perhaps George helped after the fact, but then he would have gotten rid of the gas cans when they were "returned". But he did not.

I'm also no longer believing the accident theory. As much as it pains me...

Quite possibly another bald-faced lie from Casey Anthony to her family. I'd say maybe her dad was duped again.

This is absurd. They are all acting as if Caylee's body has been discovered, they don't know who the killer is, and the wrongly accused mother is trying to prove her innnocence. :furious:

The grandparents, the lawyer, the mother, in all tv interviews, all acting as if the mystery of where Caylee is has been solved and now it is time to worry about who took her or who killed her.

Are they forgetting the child is missing or they are convinced the child is not coming back? Can't they keep predences for a little longer? I know many of you here have been following similar cases for years and years, some of you even professionally. Have you ever seen something similar in the case of a MISSING CHILD? All the players to act this way? Where are the pleads for the child to be found, where are the interviews talking and talking and talking about the child and showing photos again and again so the public will have the image of the little girl burned on their brains just in case they spot her somewhere?

Talking about pizza boxes and letters and phonecalls and smells as if we are in the middle of a murder trial and we are debating evidence. Where is the child??????? :bang::bang::bang:

Something else about the ''reaction'' of the family's relatives, friends, and neighbours.

When a family has a missing child or a missing adult, the whole community gathers around the family to help. Close and not so close relatives and friends travel to be near them and assist with phonecalls by the press, daily chores, door to door searches for clues and the missing person.

With the exception of the very lukewarm fundraiser a couple of days ago, I don't see any activity from friends and family like in similar cases. Other friends or aunts or cousins or neighbours going on tv and talking about the child, asking the public to help, walking miles and miles to put flyers up. Did people volunteer to do that and the Anthonys said no thank you? We know Cindy asked the friends not to comment anything to the press (still strange in my opinion to worry about that when a child is missing). There must have been offers from neighours and co-workers to help with the search and the flyers right? Cindy working in a hospital, a hospital is a big workplace, it would only be normal if for example Cindy's co-workers arranged a vigil or something for the child. But nothing. And I am more inclined to believe that a lot of people offered to do that and many more things for little Caylee. So why not happening like in so many other cases?

I think there may have been a serious discussion at one point, prior to all this happening, that Casey needed to settle down, get a decent job, and become a responsible parent.

We know that Casey met Tony at a party on May 24th, and started partying with her new friends, those that hung out at Fusian. She was staying away from home, spending nights at Tony's, and leaving care of Caylee to her parents.

There may have been an argument and Cindy and George said they would seek custody of Caylee if Casey didn't start becoming responsible. Maybe Casey became defensive and said she was taking Caylee and moving out, and she'd show her parents she could take care of her daughter without their help.

The conversation between Cindy and Caylee in the car between the first and second 911 calls, definitely points to an issue of custody.

YES!

Mom kicked her out, telling her to take responsibility for her beloved grandchild.

Casey realized that if she had to live with Caylee outside the home, she would not be able to hang out with Tony at Fusian every Friday night - or go out anywhere, any night. It would put a big cramp in her lifestyle.

TWO motives: take revenge on GM by taking away the one thing GM loves most in the entire world AND remove the one thing that stood between Casey and Tony.

MOTIVES. A word completely forgotten when Casey and family speak about nannies and ''people having the girl''.

I apologize if this has been discussed before. I'm trying really hard to keep up.

In one of the interviews with the friend of Tony he talked about the last time he saw Caylee. The way I understood what he said was that Casey met them at Tony's to go out that night. She had Caylee with her. So where did Caylee stay while she was out with Tony and his friend?

I'll go back and see if I can find the post where the friend's interview is.

Then I'll go back to my corner.:)

I couldn't find the original post to quote but someone asked about what kind of person would have a toddlers B-day with a bunch of guys sitting around drinking beer. My sister had a baby at 21, and a lot of her friends were obviously young guys and they drank. It wouldn't have been unusual to have 5 guys with a beer in their hand at my nieces birthday party, and they were nice guys. They would've defended my sister and niece to the death if they had to, good upstanding young men are in general a loyal bunch and sometimes they have a couple of beers.
When I had my kids, my circumstances were different, no young men with beer in my pictures. I think we're drawing conclusions because we know more about her and nit picking. A toddlers b-day is usually more about the family as often they're too young to get it.

This letter would probably be nonsensical or unreadable anyway.

Where I am froom that is called environmental neglect and CPS puts your kids in foster care for it. It's not nit picking for me. It's downright wrong. IMO

Exactly. Why would the family need to advertise for personal assistants if they had help from family and relatives?

Even the talking heads on all of the TV shows are 100% Gs. Not an NG among them!

There seems to be some effort here to keep an element of secrecy around the whole event of Cayley being missing, as well as maybe keeping up the appearance that Cayley was kidnapped and not done away with. A general search of the entire local area should have been conducted a long time ago, the longer this is put off, the less likely anything will be found.

I just can not for the life of me see the grandparents involved in the death of Caylee.

Trying with all of their being to believe their daughters lies, yes...that I can see happening. For now....but they HAVE to be getting harder and harder to swallow...

Maybe I'm also floating on the "River Denial"...

I'm right there with you on the same river. Until something comes out - or is even hinted at by LE - that someone other than Casey was behind whatever happened, that's who I'm looking at.

Having A BEER in front of a child is not neglect. I don't drink at all, never have but my husband will have A BEER at an event, and that's not neglect. If that were the case CPS would be cruising family BBQs and locking kids up left and right.

I agree. Casey's myspace comments, on the other hand, sounded out of line and I know they influenced how I looked at the pictures...

I'm not sure if this has been discussed already, but is it known where Caylee's car seat is/was last? Was the car seat in the car that was towed?

  • #278
i agree with you, mkay...the 911 calls proved to me that Cindy wasn't involved with Caylee's death...i don't think George was either....

I don't think they were either. But I would bet they have a pretty good idea of what happened.

(snip)
Jesse Grund made another statement to deputies. Sources close to the investigation said the ex-fiancée stated that he is not positive he heard little Caylee Anthony on a phone conversation he had with Casey on June 24th.

Grund released a statement to Channel 9.

“I could not testify 100% that I did hear her on that specific phone call. I still believe that I did hear her but I can't separate this call with other calls I have had with Casey in the past. I definitely stand by what I said that I heard Casey scold Caylee to get off the table during that call on June 24th,” said Jesse Grund.
