You know what,.. I think after hearing that 911 call,.. that if Caylee's body was in the trunk when the car came home she would have turned Casey over. She seems very angry at Casey and very upset about Caylee. I think she might be believing Casey because the alternative is just too horrible for her to imagine.
I think Casey somehow dumped Caylee's body on her own. Maybe the bag of food was in the back of the trunk before she put Caylee in there. IF she truly was living out of her car, teenagers do stupid crap like that,.. my friends son's car is disgusting with all the trash in it.

Geesh.....let it go....or take it private!!:furious:

This is the general thread and it's a part of the case. I'm sorry if it's not what you're interested in or want to hear...but it relates.

The pizza store, hmmmmmmmm......do you think that part of the time Casey could have been living in that car with Caylee and was putting the empty food stuff in a trash bag or throwing it into the trunk? That might have nothing to do with GM either. Since GM desperately wants to believe Casey didn't harm Caylee she wants to believe its the garbage that smelled so bad now but at first she did believe the child was dead in the car.

As to the "pizza weigh in..." I do not disagree that perhaps there could have been rotten pizza in a car...Rotten food is horrendous to smell...But GM said in on on air interview that she knew the difference between decomp & rotten pizza because of her & GP's professional background(s).

FWTW, I think you are right, Blink34. I think that Caylee's body was in that car and then was placed in the very back corner of the back yard that night, then moved at a later time.

I think GPA decided to put the garbage in the trunk hoping to permeate the 'rotten pizza smell' to divert from the 'death' smell. (make sense?)
I think GMA is so upset in the 911 call about the smell in the car because they were having to remove the body from the trunk.

Flame away, but that is what I think. Only Casey harmed the child, or the child accidentally died, but GPA handled hiding the body.

Doesn't wash with me. IF GPA handled the body (assuming there is one) and wanted to cover up the evidence, he'd have cleaned the trunk and scrubbed it down with Lysol or something. I see no reason at all to believe that the grandparents had anything to do with Caylee's disappearance or any cover up. Cindy is obviously having a difficult time accepting the truth about her daughter, but I think she honestly believes the non-existent nanny has the baby.

I think I recall right, that George and Cindy didn't report to the officers when they got to their home that the car smelled like death. Wasn't she saying that they thought they smelled it and asked if they could check it out?

If so, they didn't offer this information because they wanted to conceal it.

After listening to this 911 call.... I don't believe Cindy had anything to do with it. Now she is in Mother Bear mode protecting her cub and in a lot of denial. Casey is a bad seed, a sociopath. IMO

Yes, it sounds like the coverup Cindy has been doing is to protect what is left of her daughter's reputation.

Whether she is doing that to protect her daughter, or in an effort not to distract from the search for Caylee, none of us knows.

What she doesn't seem to realize is that there can be no effective search for Caylee until her daughter starts telling the truth. Or maybe she does realize that if her daughter starts telling the truth, she'll be facing murder charges.

I don't know about the obstruction charge just yet. Could they get her for making a false police report, maybe. She called to report that Casey stole the car, yet it was sitting in her driveway. Casey claimed the car was hers.

Sounds weak, but I'm not erasing this. I just can't see how Cindy is obstructing things now. What she says for the news people is probably not what she has said to police.

I agree with you. I don't think the parents are complicit at doing anything at all but want to desperately believe caylee is alive. And they have to stick up for Casey in order to do that. Mom can bare to think Caylee is dead.

Thanks Aimee - I am astounded to hear Gma admit that the car smelled of dead body after all her pizza blustering. I actually feel sorry for this woman. I realise she is a pain, but I can not and do not want to even imagine what I might be like in such a situation. Recognizing dead smell, knowing that my daughter was lying about it, and not being able to locate my grandchild... Oh my, just typing that is difficult.

All of this would explain WHY Lee and George have been so quiet. THEY know Casey is lying and GM just can't accept it because then she knows Caylee is dead. Lee and George are still hoping Caylee is alive but they really don't think so.

To clarify, I do not think GPA found her in the car that day, is that what you mean?

I still think they may have initially believed that it was Casey's body, or both Casey and Caylee, thus the calls to Casey's friends that after all, could have been made weeks earlier.

But the 911 call says she said it smelled like a dead body in the damn car" I am sure that was registered to the arriving officers. I would HOPE so!

oh my!....so you think Caylee's body was in the car the day they drove it home?.....i'm confused

Did Cindy actually say that there was pizza in the trunk? I haven't watched and read everything, but I was under the impression that she used pizza as an example - to explain that other things, not necessarily just a dead body, could leave that awful smell.

this is why I think she says she tried 2 hours ago. I agree with you here. :blowkiss:

Maybe inbetween the first 'calm' 911 call and the second FRANTIC one they may have opened the trunk and found Caylee's body. Just IMO.

Florida does carry the death penalty, no? Cindy is gonna lose them both, that's what she's scared of. She's desperate and about to lose it completely. IMO

I think after she has realized Caylee is gone, she knows Casey's only shot would be if her remains are never found. I am trying no to judge, but the thought of my baby/grandbaby out there in the trash somewhere would eat at my soul, regardless of the price to Casey.
