Do we know what the baker act is?

ORDER - WHILE IN CUSTODY DEF TO BE SCREENED FOR BAKER ACT CRITERIA. NO UNSUPERVISED CONTACT WITH ANY CHILD UNDER 17 YOA

IMHO this last tip is bogus. IF someone had Caylee they would know that they were wanted. Does anyone really think they would let the child out of their sight long enough to give her complete name??? NOT.

I am just sick of the theatrics from Defense lawyers in these high profile cases.

If they never find the body the hope from the defense is that this will give the jury food for thought as far as reasonable doubt goes.
:furious:

I'm just not sure about this tip. According to the report on Fox, this sighting was on July 2nd. And now LE is involved making a composite sketch of the person. Would they waste their time if they didn't think it had SOME credibility? I'm not sure.

Regardless, I still have a bad feeling about the whole thing.

I only ever read mine.. :) :)

OK, another discrepency I cannot confirm- saw 2 articles the reward is $125K good for 90 days, leading to info to Kaylee.. from a local business.
I cannot find a single quote or article confirming the parameters of the reward, a tipline associated (method to respond), or specifics of any kind-
Why important? Because if it is blowing smoke up our collective ....., I want it exposed as a defense lawyer stunt, period.

Actually I love reading your posts and respect the way you say it.

I bet the Anthony family gets an appointed defense attorney.. they have no money and can't even bail their daughter out.

I do find it humorous that it appears the judge put restrictions on her bailing out, as if to say, no way she will get out, but I will appease the defense council.

The whole deal with the sighting at the airport on a flight to Atlanta is a red herring. First of all, unless you get a direct flight, many flights going to and from Orlando have a stopover in Atlanta. It is a National hub for one of the airlines. Therefore, although one passenger may be going to Atlanta, most people will either change planes there or stay on the flight and it will then continue to another destination. So Caylee could have been going anywhere in the world from there............no way to really track down any of that info.

My brother told me that even people going to He** have a stopover in Atlanta.
It's true that the people could have been headed almost anywhere, but if the lady knows the flight number, they can check the manifest for that flight. It wouldn't necessarily have the child's name. They have to account for every person on the plane, so it might just say Mrs. John Smith and toddler.

To tell you the truth, Greta is always using stuff like that to boost her ratings and get people to watch the show. Then when the show comes on she usually spends about 5minutes on the "lost leader"

I used to like GVS, but lately I have been shocked at the stuff she does to boost her failing ratings.

I hope I am wrong but the last two nights in a row have been the same BS.

I LOVE TES AND TIM MILLER. I wish to heavens he would get involved and start searching Orlando inch by inch. Personally I think the baby is not too far away from the mom's house because I think Casey took her there cos she knew mom and dad were gone on a vacation (I would love to know when that vacation was) and when they came home she had to get her out of there and she moved her and the car smelled so bad she had to abandon it. I wonder if it was really out of gas as she reported? I have still never heard who came and got casey after she dumped the car in the lot and whoever that is, I wonder if they know anything?

I LOVE Tim Miller too! Wonderful, smart man with a huge heart! I hope when the forensics are back from the trunk of the car. Maybe LE will ask TES to assist in the search (because we know the family won't as they have YET to physically search anywhere). I believe she is fairly close as well. As for where the car was found surely ONE of those stores had video.

Also, wierd question I know, but what about July 4th? Wouldn't GMA & Gpa be watching Caylee normally, have a family picnic..Casey doesn't seem like she would be able to watch her that evening and attend the party she was trying to get together?

I just think that is a big holiday for families and friends to get together..can't imagine GM & GP would want to miss being with Caylee for part of that day or evening?

What these people say about their family life and then how they act are the total opposite. Casey reminds me of the psycho in the movie "I'll Never Tell"

Did you not hear Cindy under oath yesterday at the court hearing?! She does believe that Jesse IS Caylee's biological father and intimated that so does his family.
I got the impression...and it was only an impression...that she did think so at one time...but wasn't IMO going to elaborate on it. She said he was during questioning as to why Jesse and his family had taken over babysitting duties. It looked like she almost cut off her own train of thought.

Right On! He had to do it, really, and he read the statues that applied. It was obvious he didn't want to and so made it hard on them to meet the bail.

I think the Backer Act is where LE can have someone involuntarily committed for a short time for testing, if the person shows signs of having a mental issue.

*oops... someone beat me to it... *

Okay I have read lots of theories about digging in the back yard - but do we really think that Casey would go to the home in broad daylight to either try to bury or dig up Caylee's body? She may be an idiot in some ways, but considering everything to this point, she's actually been pretty skilled at keeping people at bay and in the dark (family, friends, cops). I just can't reconcile her going over there during the day, borrowing a shovel (which she had to have realized would arouse suspicion) and digging or excavating a grave. Then again, maybe she just trusted that she could lie her way out of it like she's always done...
