look, here is the situation in its simplist terms

1. if the baby was kidnapped then you go to the police

2. if you killed and disappeared your baby you dont go to the police

thats all there is

its simple as can be

3. if you handed your baby off to a friend, you tell police before you sit in jail for a month, as that is not against the law.

SuzieQ i think it is also but with the way this case is i wouldn't be surprised if it turned out true. (though i doubt it)

Hey and don't forget, CA probably got to sleep late today too. You know, no child crying for breakfast...no having to pretend to get up for work.

everyone tipping toeing around,... "Casey needs her rest. She has been through alot". I think after a couple of days George is going to tell her "enough is enough,.. where the he77 is Caylee!!" jmo

I asked this question last night but no one answered me. Baiz said that during his opening statements in court he would reveal why Casey didn't report Caylee missing immediately. And we would understand why she didn't. Does that mean in the trial for the neglect charges? Or OTHER charges that might come down?

I don't know the answer, but have the same question you do.

well, let me ask you

do you have a single reason as to why NOT to contact the police if your child was kidnapped.... a reasonable answer.....

will wait for answer - ty :)

Because you believe that the child is dafe and you can finally go party...
Because you believe that they will kill your child if you go to the police...
Because you believe that you can resolve the issue without bringing the police into it to see your misdeeds...
Because you sold you child...
Because you left the child with someone that you had known for a matter of hours instead of a matter of years...

Pick one.

if you believe your child is safe enough to leave them with why would you then turn around and think they're not safe enough if you told the LE?

Famous journalist who put JB in touch with LP maybe??

That makes total sense if you think about it. Geraldo is definitely a showboat, has the money and would love to get in the middle of this thing any way he could. I wonder how well LP knows Geraldo?????????

I've been told by an aquaintance who knows people in the towing and junkyard businesses that it would not be a huge thing for them because it's fairly common, only a little extra cash exchanges hands. Whether or not that is true, I don't know but that's what I've been told.

I know that in Ohio a man was found guilty of murdering his girlfriend even though her body (and her car) was never found. By the way his uncle owned a junkyard with a car smasher. hmmm....

I owned a towing/recovery/impound business for 8 years and I can't speak for other companies, but I can speak for mine and the ones I did business with during those years.

Anytime we even had the slightest suspicion that something was weird with a vehicle or had a funky smell coming from it, we immediately reported it to the local police department and had an officer out to investigate.
It wouldn't have mattered how much money someone had to exchange. Fortunately, there was never anything other than spoiled seafood in the trunk.

And I'm not saying that criminal activity doesn't happen, but generally it's the exception to the rule.
The companies that have legitimate contracts for impounding really don't want to get mixed up in that kind of drama and risk losing their contracts or get fined by the state for not following proper protocol.

You get new info from the people or you finally sober up.
Don't get me wrong, I am only saying that I think this thing will turn out to be complicated, imo. I do not like Casey and I don't like defending her. Regardless of where Caylee is, dead or alive, Casey deserves some jail time.
Even it is for sheer stupidity.
