I have a question. Would it be completely far fetched to think it would be possible for an employee of the impound business to "borrow" a car from the lot in order to carry out criminal activities? I'm just thinking that it could be argued that since the car was out of the Anthonys' control for some time, someone else could have used it to move a body.

I agree. I'm not saying the owners of the towing/impound lot would be involved. From what my friend said the lowly guy there at 2AM alone making his minimum wage would welcome an extra $50 (or more) to just shut up and be quiet.

start with asking the daughter to tell the truth and when she comes up with a lie, debunk it right on the spot and ask her to try again

Ask the public for help.
Ask the organized searchers for help.
Use my house as it was the last place she was seen as a starting point for a grid search.
Use the Sawhill apts as the second location for a grid search.
Actually post fliers at the airport the sighting tip came in from.
Take a polygraph test so the police can look outside my family as suspects.

That is off the top of my head.

Those are all reasonable answers to the question of why you wouldn't contact police initially, but they fall apart once you get 31 days down the road and the police are brought into it.

True, but the question was about contacting LE at the time.
And it depends on whether or not, you were relieved that kid was gone, regardless of the circumstances.

If someone has taken off with your child, you call the cops. Period.

Let's face it folks, Casey is a liar. She has been caught in lie after lie. She knows what happend to Caylee...she just won't tell because she is responsible. Maybe it was an accident or it was unintentional. Either way, she is a cold-hearted chick....to not report her daughter missing or injured...to go out partying and not be heart-sick and grieving....to keep sleeping with your new boyfriend while your child is gone.

There is just no way to make excuses for Casey's behavior.....

You don't have to agree with me, it's fine. Like I've said before, disagreements, as long as they are civil, make life interesting. If everybody here had the same theory, we all would have gotten bored and drifted off by now.

Not trying to snipe, but kidnappers usually WANT something. As has been pointed out before, the Anthonys have nothing.

Not to mention there are no outgoing calls on Casey's phone at the time she said she went to pick Caylee up. She didn't even call the missing sitter, let alone the police.

Unless Casey stole the wrong thing from the wrong person. Which would be a pretty good reason why she would not want the police involved.

I don't know if this was discussed last night or not, but IIRC LP was on NG talking about how no one that had towed the vehicle smelled the decomp. smell. He went on to say that they have to open the car door when they are towing a vehicle and tie down the steering wheele and ect. Well, this is where I have knowledge. My dad owns a towing company and he tows for rotation list and also has private property contracts. 99.9% of the time when they are making a private property tow, the vehicle is locked. Therefore, no one can get inside the vehicle.

Once the vehicle is towed it goes to an impound yard and the only reason someone would need access to the vehicle is for the VIN number. The VIN number is needed for the paper work on the vehicle. Now, I have never smelled a decomp. body so I have no idea what it smells like. But I would imagine most of the smell would be inside the vehicle (I could be wrong) and that the people who towed the vehicle probably didnt smell it.
