Because they have to have evidence of what she is witholding from them to prove it. All they have are lies and no tangible evidence of the proof of the truth she is hiding. Does that make sense?

The Obstruction charge means that she is preventing them from obtaining the truth hence no witholding charges.

Seems to me they're sitting in his office coming up with lies --- and isnt it odd that she signed into her myspace today? Id like to know what time THAT was in comparison with what time she left to Baez's office.........

I don't know if this question has been raised yet or not, but I want to know why Casey is not being charged with something like "withholding evidence?" The family spokesman says that she is helping out and giving leads, but NOT to LE.....so since it's an open investigation, isn't there something they can charge her with since she is not giving them info? I know she can take the 5th and not talk to LE at all, as she has done, but she is openly talking to others about what she "says" she knows...

SHe has already been charge with obstruction of justice and interfering with a police investigation. That is the charge, they can charge her again for the same thing.

GOOD CATCH!!!!!!!! Off shore waters here all up and down the coast have horendous conditions right now. Notice the sun and "flat" water. Where were they? hhhhhmmmm........ Our boats here in Laud. haven't ventured out in quite a few days - both pleasure and business - not to say that I haven't seen boats coming and going in the past week. Interesting - would love to know where they were!!!!!!

I believe Baez was on the boat sometime last week when he was in New York. No one can go on the water right now due to the weather.

I thought that at first too - have to go back and look at the questions he answered - I thought there were more "current" answers - not what he would have said say, alst week. BUT - just thought = they could have been in the Gulf. I think those conditions are somewhat better than the offshore Atlantic is right now. However, if you go out far enough you "motor" out of this storm - that's what the big cruise ships do - they just go around these storms. But the Gulf could also be a possibility. I also know that further south here - the Atlantic is just beautiful. No sign of storm or anything - Key West is back up and running strong, including all the shrimpers and sport fishers. HHHmmmmmm - further south or in the Gulf?

Ok, I have a question. The monitoring device is "good" for 150' from the phone. When she is allowed to go somplace, how do they monitor her?

It was mentioned she has a case manager. I suspect she just checks in with her about trips out of range. Maybe someone else has more info.

Ok, There have been a few clues I have hear, including the one below, that Casey was not the person we see today in jail. She was noted as a loving mother and a nice girl. But something change for her in recent times. Even her father mentioned that something happened to her and she got into the wrong crowd or something. So what happened to Casey to make her into this? It looks like Rev. Grund doesn't have much 'like' for Cindy Anthony. Do you think it is drug use and drug sellers that Casey got involved with? I know there is alot we don't know which is why Padilla got involved. There is a whole other part to this story that we don't know of. However, that doesn't mean that Caylee is alive or that Casey isn't responsible for her death thru the lifestyle she was leading and the people she was dealing with. I wonder if Tony is involved or whether he had no idea of her other life too? I wonder if LE or anyone has any idea of who else Casey was hanging around with that none of us have heard of?

Her mother is a victim in this as well. What you see in jail is not Casey Anthony but something that has been taken her over. It’s hard to explain but that is not the girl who came to our house and who my son fell in love with. Something happened to her. Sadly, after her mother meddled with their engagement and ruined it for her, it would seem her life fell apart. I do not know if thing would have turned out differently except that Caylee would be safe right now.
