IIRC the "real" Zanny that police recently talked to actually did fill out the guest card at the apartments. So I can't imagine the ID theft part. If that is the case (that Zanny did fill out a card), then I'm sure it was something like Casey saw her and went in after or something like that, to come up with a cover story. If I am recalling this incorrectly and the "real" Zanny did not actually admit to going to those apartments, then it could be ID theft and Casey could have filled out the card as Zanny just to start her pack of lies. Have any of the friends or anyone outside of the immediate family indicated they ever heard of "Zanny" before the disappearance? And has the family actually said they heard the name "Zanny" before the disappearance? I know there was a lot of talk about Zanny = Xanax, but with the possibilty of an actual Zaneida filling out the guest card, and IF the family and/or friends honestly did hear "Zanny" before the disappearance, IF that is all true, I don't buy the Xanax or the ID theft theories. It all just seems to be too much of a coincidence. I am not saying that any Zanny was ever her babysitter, but Casey had to come up with the name somehow! I, of course, could be completely confused as to what has been stated because there has been so much going on that I can't keep anything straight!!

Ya know this may be :other_beatingA_Dead but, I still can't understand why these grandparents, who obviously were very involved with this child's life, and basically were helping raise her, would find it normal to have never met a babysitter (excuse me, nanny) that had been suposedly watching Caylee for over a year. I'm a single mom and I get alot of help from gm and gp, I use them at least a few times a month for picking up the kids, and my mom takes my daughter to school all the time, and I have my own home! Also, wouldn't you want to meet the babysitter, givin how close they were to Caylee? How did Caylee's whereabouts go seriously unquestioned for a month? not just, can I talk to her, and taking no for an answer. I mean seriously confirming her safety. They knew Casey had no home to care for her in,how did this go on under the radar? I know it's technically not their child, and Casey didn't have to stay at her parents, but don't you think the GP should have had a reasonable suspicsion Caylee was not being cared for? Shouldn't they have reported this? UGH

yepper:woohoo:
I wonder if there's a Zenaida (with the two last names) in Tony's, or another of Casey's friends, apt. building? One of the things Mark Fuhrman mentioned is Casey could've gotten hold of Zenaida's ID. It sometimes happens that mail carriers misdeliver mail, you know!

Many of the posts today have been discussing theories about Casey moving Caylee's dead body. A lot of people base this on the "dead body" smell in the car (as Cindy said in the 911 call). But, the latest search warrant lists nothing about the smell in the car, unless I missed it.

I am not a scientist, but I believe luminol detects blood, not bodily fluids (correct me if I'm wrong!). Many believe that Caylee drowned in the pool and that Casey brought her body into the house and I don't believe there would be any "bodily fluids" to detect if it was immediately after her death.

One post earlier commented about how we only know what LE is telling us, which is not the whole story. The DNA results were given to local LE yesterday (can't remember where I saw this), but they haven't yet been released. Nor, have additional charges been filed against Casey.

As a mother of 4 sons (including a 2 year-old), I just can't imagine Caylee moving around her dead daughter's body (as she has repeatedly been called a good Mom).

But there have been people who have done worst things before. Just my 2 cents...

HAHAHAHA...on the interview on Greta, Cindy just said "Once Caylee is found, everyone will be giving Casey the Mother of The Year Award for what she has done."

  • #287
Greta came up with nothing new...total rehash. GRRRRRR:mad:

  • #288
Suspicious, ITA. It doesn't make sense that GP's thought she exisred but never met her. I am 100% convinced the GP's are not telling the whole story!

REspectfully snipped. Luminol detects all types of bodliy fluids, semen, blood and all types of things. I'll try finding a link to prove it.

I agree pizmex... there's no phone records EVER between Casey and ZG. There is no way to explain that away!
I never believed that Casey actually knew a person with this name, just wondered how she got such a specific name and let alone a person with that name happens to go to the Sawgrass apt. on 6/17. I do think Casey must have been there and that's how it happened. Up until that point, it seems the "sitter" was referred to as Zanny.

Yeah...they just took a liars word way too seriously as far as im concerned. I mean, seeing as Casey and Caylee basically lived in the house with Cindy and George you would think that at least ONCE in 1 1/2 years "Zanny would have dropped Caylee off at home or Cindy or George would have to pick Caylee up from the babysitters. When people have kids those kinds of hand offs happen all the time. Ive always been incredulous about that aspect. I think that George and Cindy loved Caylee more than anything in the world and would never intentionally hurt her. I just think that they put way to much trust in their liar of a daughter which was very bad judgement and they should not be covering for her in any way after the fact either. That just hurts little Caylee. Very very dysfunctional people. iMHO

Cindy does say Zanny not once but twice

Yup. I believe in my heart that "Zaneida" was born on June 17th after Casey somehow got her name at or from Sawgrass.. Any other way just becomes utterly fantastic.

On Greta's show the LE officer being asked questions about ZG responded with "she might have come into contact with ZG's information at some point, or knew someone who knew this ZG. He said it was all speculation because they didn't know.
He said ZG was cleared. LE doesn't believe there was a nanny by any name much less ZG.

The whole show was a rehash and not a new thing in it.

But Cindy says that after talking to Casey for 45 minutes, she was sick of trying to get info and she was glad that Lee "got there" at that point. Was Lee already at the time or did he get there"?

I believe that Lee was already there when they got home. I think she broke down to Lee but it did take 45 minutes. Meaning, Cindy and Lee were all asking her questions and getting nowhere but she finally broke to Lee.

IIRC

An explanation and it is not mine, it is a summation of other theories:

1. From that 911 phonecall and the way Cindy tells George about zanny taking the baby, it is obvious the grandparents heard the name before.

2. Now a lot of people speculate that Casey was telling her parents about a nanny that never existed (way before Casey disappeared) to get more money from her parents. Money for the nanny-zanny was money for Casey really.

3. If the nanny never existed how could the grandparents meet her? Cayse would make sure no questions arosed about the subject.

4. The need for a nanny was when the grandparents were at work and unable to watch Casey. How would they meet the nanny? Again a nanny that never existed.

5. We don't know the frequency this imaginary nanny was used in the past. Whatever excuses Casey told her friends and her family about where Casey was the last month aren't an indication of the frequence of how many times the zanny names was dropped in the Anthony household the last year.

6. Also I saw many posters speaking from personal experience that the grandparents of their own children, even very invovled in their lifes, did not meet their nannies

-----------------------------------
Okay now I am really going for some sleep. Happy birthday Caylee and may all the prayers and thoughts of all the people who are thinking about you protect you.

Which would make sense, if I was trying to get info from my kid, I would try anything that I could to get it myself before I had her arrested.

Yes, and saying "Oh my God! That poor girl." When pigs fly.

Right? And NO ONE has ever met her.

No way to explain that one away either.

I, for one, am eagerly anticipating the prosecution grilling Casey on this, if the case ever goes to trial. But, maybe Casey can refuse to testify....
