Just a couple of thoughts on his finances.

I personally don’t find a Kia Stinger (that is at a minimum, a couple years old or so) to be a “nice” car. Just a meh car. They aren’t expensive. Not being judgy. I drive something of similar value.

As for his nice house, it’s a rental and it’s a super tight rental market here right now. He likely had next to nothing to choose from. That house is newer. It’s also on the very edge of town with several counties worth of Devil’s Den type wild land right behind it. Couldn’t help my brain thinking of his future in that location. But as for $$, he had to take what he could get. There are apartment waiting lists for months and few houses available.

I tend to see these people like a rock rolling down a hill- they keep going until something stops them- a bigger rock (LE), a gully (accident)...but I do not think they always "plan." News reports said this person had knives

6 days ago — The victims died from stab wounds, and the murder weapon was a knife, Hagar said Thursday. Knives were recovered from the residence's home ...

I guess reviewing his online activity will show if he fantasized about violence or idolized killers. His victims were so innocuous- seemingly to me- hard to imagine that they said or did anything to him before he chose them. Possible that they reminded him of some couple he hated. Also, if he were 100% off the rails, he could have killed or tried to kill more people- he stopped at two and just left. I do not see a conscience with this killer- almost like out of sight out of mind, like he had a stray impulse and went with it, killing like swatting a fly, but wait and see what LE finds out.

When it comes to Unstable rocks rolling down hills, if they harm themselves that is one thing.
But those who want to be teachers of children should encounter well placed land mines.

About 20 kids for school years 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25

Teachers are the sole authority in the room, for education, socialization, discipline
A school year is about 185 days
- recess 2x a day for 20 min- he kept little girls inside with him alone
- lunch 1x a day for 25 min- he had little girls eat with him in his room
He was to manage time, grade student work, admin exams, fill out behavioral sheets, report cards, Carry out parent conf and communications

How did he carry out work responsibilities and yet not manage his checkbook?
Did kids fall behind in learning math and reading foundations?
What went untaught?

Anger issues- I would guess so since he stabbed two people to death.
A classroom is not the place for flare ups, violent impulses, being off the rails,

The standard for teachers should be high, we should be paying much closer attention.

The most interesting detail (to me, anyway) in his financial summary is that he has a question mark by every single amount listed except for rent and health/vehicle insurance. He knows exactly how much he pays for rent and (car?) insurance. He clearly has no idea how much he pays for anything else, which makes me ask whether money is an issue for him.
When I read that document, I envisioned somebody asking him questions and filling it out for him and then his replies were not concrete. He is signing that it’s truthful and all that but it’s just guesses since the bills aren’t in front of him, thus the question mark notations that indicate we are estimating. I don’t know for sure but I bet it’s actually common to do that. IMO

covering his license plate says something.... but a lot of people walk around with knives and never cut anyone up. Really no idea why these people at this time. No smiles in any of the pictures we have seen of him.

(If he was just trying to kidnap the girls, that would be a motive... LE would know more about that.)

It is against most district policies for a teacher to carry a knife on campus.
For my teaching I often use things that could harm people, and I have to follow procedures to purchase, store, and use them.

If he had knives into the classroom- without permission for a specific purpose- that alone would be grounds for dismissal in most schools.
Not because anyone expects a teacher to cut kids- but because kids can harm themselves or each other.

Laying a kitchen knife or pocket knife on the counter at home is not the same as doing that at school. It shows poor judgment at least, creepiness, or the potential for threats.

About his dating picture. It is not super clear, but am I the only one seeing tiny white scars on his R clavicle? As if he had surgery there? There are some tiny whiter sports above the L clavicle too, but they don’t look like a continuous old, thin scar.

If you blow up the picture, you’ll see a whitish line. Looks like a long surgical scar.

Whoa wait what????????????

I’m not on any social media, for multiple reasons, and I must have missed this earlier here and cannot access this from wherever he posted it.

@Charlot123

Are you saying that the picture you’ve affixed above is AM in a picture on a DATING WEBSITE??????

Like where people try to match with someone and I assume put their best foot forward?????

I hope I’m misunderstanding and this growling demon picture is from something else. I did see earlier here at WS his furious scowling teacher ID, which IMO already revealed a disordered personality.

Is this that? From his ID? Please inform and/or correct me——I can’t imagine, if this is from some “looking for love” site, that any woman would see this and think “how lovely.”

JMO amid confusion.

I think it is his dating one, but whatever it is, it may indicate nothing but loneliness (no friend to tell him, hey, not a good one).

I am interested in the physical signs. One is very obvious so I am not pointing it out. I just want to ask if that old line above the clavicle looks like an old surgical scar? It does, to me - white, not getting tanned and there seem to be larger areas that are left from surgical knots?

P.S. maybe he was into bodybuilding so he thought that the photo would show his beautiful “bod” and rippled muscles? IRL it looks like someone had his clothes stolen in a public bath so he had to slide behind the steering wheel naked. But that’s what I see.

Yup, this is definitely a Hinge dating app profile. I see the scar thing too.

Agree on the Kia Stinger, he could have picked up a used one with high mileage
I just searched and found one for $15k
As per rent, what about commuting from a next town over where rent isn’t so high?
I found a room for rent on Zillow in Lowell for less than $700/ month.
If my son 28 yr old son was in debt came to ask me for help- that is where I would suggest.

He isn’t going to ask us for advice, I realize, but just curious how hard he would try before asking Mom and Dad to bail him out.

Champagne taste on a beer budget, as they say
Maybe here is its Champagne taste on a water budget?!

Yes, but I believe you said “walking around with them”
A teacher can’t do that without risking issues.

I belatedly realized that the picture can’t be his (also fuming) school I.D., as he is in his car.

I’ve never been on any dating sites, but I know people talk about their favorite activities, and he is talking about his playlist.

Do these matchup websites not have any rules for the pictures people post? I imagine they would have some kind of algorithm, like if someone tried to post an X—rated picture?

I guess this one didn’t rise to that level and maybe it’s true, he had no one close enough to tell him that picture is a NO.

Exactly why we need an emoji with crossed eyes and a tilted halo of stars circling over head.

Agree, just maybe this was a condition for his parents to pay for his rental?
They said,
“You have to make an effort, you have to try, create a profile so you can meet some nice young lady. At your rate we will never have grandchildren.
If you do try, we will pay your first three months rent…”

This was the result? Lmao

Yeah I don't find it unusual that he doesn't really know how much he spends on stuff like food and gas when he's in a brand new city. TBH, if you asked me to tell you how much I spend on gas in a month, but didn't give me access to my budget file that I keep on my computer, I'd have to guess too.

Is the dating website picture the one where he’s shirtless, in vehicle, and a scowl on his face? Scary.

Did anyone post the dating website picture? I’m curious.

I’ve seen people sharing that image and referring to it as his “dating profile picture,” but as far as I know, that hasn’t been confirmed by any verified source. From what I understand, it originated from a case discussion post on Facebook, where someone commented that she had matched with him on a dating app and took a screenshot.

If anyone has a credible source confirming that it’s actually from a dating profile, I’d definitely be interested in seeing it.

"Nice" is relative. He's a young man on a teacher's salary with no savings. In that context, he was living pretty "nice."

If there is a known serious mental health history- he should never have been able to maintain a license to work with young children.

Absolutely not

IMO
Not so fast... that would be against the law, The American Disabilities Act.

Some excerpts germain to discussion:

"Examples of psychiatric diagnoses include anxiety disorder, depression, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), bipolar disorder and schizophrenia."

"Overall, about 44 million adults (over age 18) in the U.S. report having had any mental health condition during the past year, representing about 18.5% of the U.S. population."

"Record of psychiatric disability. The ADA also prohibits discrimination against individuals who have a record (history) of a psychiatric disability or are regarded as having a psychiatric disability. This means, for example, that qualified individuals who have a history of psychiatric disability cannot be discriminated against just because of that history. Also, employers can’t take actions (such as failing to hire, demoting or denying training opportunities) because they believe a qualified applicant or employee might have a psychiatric disability."

"Disclosure is a choice. According to the ADA, employers can’t require applicants or employees to disclose a disability (with a few exceptions described below). So, in most cases, disclosing a psychiatric disability is a choice, not a requirement. Individuals who choose not to tell about their mental health condition are not “lying” or “hiding.” They are using a legally protected choice."

"After the job offer. Once a job has been offered, applicants may be asked to take a medical exam before starting work. If this exam reveals a psychiatric disability, the job offer can only be withdrawn if there is evidence that the person won’t be able to do the essential functions of the job without an accommodation and can’t be reasonably accommodated or the disability poses a real safety issue."

"On the job. Employees generally can’t be required to disclose a psychiatric disability unless requesting a job accommodation. Then, the employer can ask for some medical documentation about the disability. This medical information can’t be shared with others in the workplace."

Thanks for illumination on this issue!
