I am not sure if family members will have thousands of pounds that they can afford to donate to him to buy a few months freedom.
If they really think he is innocent then it would not be ,in their minds, his last chance of freedom before he is locked up for ever.
RBBM
I understand your point, apologies if it wasn’t clear in my post, imo it’s not so much that his family in their minds thinking it would not be his last chance of freedom. IMO it’s about what BM wants and imo HE wants out of county lockup while awaiting trial and to me it’s clear, his family has history of acquiescence, consenting to whatever imo the golden boy wants, give him help, escape consequences etc. whatever it takes, imo his family will circle the wagons and help him if they can to give him what he wants. Noone can convince me that control freak BM doesn’t want out of that jail and there are people close to him that will do anything they can, pool resources etc. if they have them available to give BM what he wants.

One more point, I think there’s another possibility here, and that is that after Suzanne’s remains were found a couple years ago and bone determined to have BAM, I think BM knew the day would come LE would be knocking on his door again and possibly gave/transferred money to MM1 or another family member over the past couple years to put in their name to hold for him because he knew this day was eventually coming.

Yes @FromGermany1 ….. and not trying to intrude, but IIRC didn’t this defendant also have a proclivity for ‘dumpster diving’ too? MOO
I thought of the "sweet girls", not of an adult woman at that moment. ;) Yes, dumpsters is he allowed to visit, I think, to save his costs for trash and meet a seasoned woman there.

IMO BM’s not going to be sitting
in county lockup for close to a year. It could potentially be even longer since trial dates get pushed out in many cases for various reasons.
I will be shocked if someone in his close inner circle doesn’t help bond him out.

IMO someone close or still in his corner will help/put up the $300k. If ends up being the case, my top two guesses are family members-
MM1 (my personal belief is that he not only deeded the IN home to MM1, he may also been giving her cash over the past few years with the stipulation that she’s holding it for him), or his Mother (she’s elderly and we have no idea she may have saved money during her lifetime, invested, had a sizable pension/401k etc.).

He also has 2 Sisters’ whom iirc were very supportive of him during first go around. One Sister was a little more publicly vocal in her support of BM than the other Sister. I believe it was Sister Marcy that was interviewed on 48 hours or Dateline can’t remember which one, strongly voicing her support of BM during the televised interview. Not sure if she’s the same Sister who yelled at Lauren Scharf in a courtroom lobby blaming Lauren for ruining her brother/family’s life. SMDH.

Anyway, if one or both Sisters’ still support him, perhaps they have cash they can pool together to help bond him out. It was evident to me some of what we learned about his family dynamics the first go around, BM was/is the Golden child that could do no wrong in Mom and Sisters’ eyes.

I think they have all been manipulated by BM likely for years, the M daughters’ as well imo, and may not be all that upset if they help put up the money and BM breaks conditions and don’t get their money back. They probably blindly trust him to some degree and willing to do anything to help the precious golden boy of the family. IMO some families with siblings and a golden child dynamic are dysfunctional to some degree.

Not sure if he has any friends or associates who’d be willing to help but it’s a tall order/very risky for a friend or acquaintance who may not get their money back if BM doesn’t comply with all of the bond conditions imposed. Not sure many friends would want to take that risk but who knows BM might have a person or two in his corner who he snowed, bamboozled, duped with his I’m just a hardworking godly man and loved my wife am innocent and being railroaded shtick.
There are many naive and/or conspiracy driven people who are against the government and LE, the system, believe alot/majority of people arrested for a crime/murder are innocent and being railroaded by the authorities and system despite a boatload of damning evidence against the suspect/defendant.
They ignore the evidence and think they’re smarter than the actual legit, trained, certified investigators investigating the case. Does it happen sometimes sure but imo nowhere near as often as some on Social Media portray and railroading of an innocent man is definitely not the case here, imo.

IMO he won’t be locked up in county jail much longer, there’s work being done behind the scenes to bond him out as we speak, just a matter of time.

All of the above IMHOO

I am of the opinion if, or I should say when, he bonds out, he won’t come back. If he gets the money from his mom, sisters, or daughters, they would probably encourage him going on the run to someplace he can’t be extradited from. I believe they are that fooled. They will do anything to keep him from going to prison.

I am confused by what BM’s lawyer said yesterday in the hearing that Barry should be held responsible in Saguache county. This court does cover Sauguache county.
Was Beller just talking about where Barry should be required to bond out to at that point? Anybody know?

“Amanda Hopkins is chief judge for the 12th Judicial District serving Alamosa, Conejos, Costilla, Mineral, Rio Grande and Saguache counties. “

These People, I can't decide who was worse, the defense attorneys or the Judge, and their play with what seemed to me to be using technicalities to their advantage! What I failed to hear was the slightest acknowledgment that this man is accused of viciously murdering and disappearing his wife!

Generally, as part of determining bond, a defendant is compared to those offenders from the same County-- which I believe DA Kelly covered in her Motion of Opposition to Bail.

It's also generally part of the bond condition for a defendant placed on house arrest with GPS monitoring to be given specific parameters, such as the defendant may not leave Saguache County, if for nothing more than to assist with compliance by the State's GPS monitoring Contractor.

However, in this case, it seems to me that the Court gave Morphew the entire State of Colorado as his parameter and/or boundary!

As for defense attorney David Beller, his request also was to bypass Saguache County, more specifically, grant Morphew bail, and allow him to reside in Arizona!

And If Beller's intent was to try to use Saguache County, a high poverty area, to attempt to sell a lower bond, let me be the first to shout from the rooftops that I doubt Morphew had been to Saguache more than twice before, and one of those times was to bury his wife. MOO

Your first paragraph says it all. Judge treated him like a welcomed guest at a party.
Defense attorney was doing what they do best. But that judge!!!
Suzanne was completely ignored. I am not convinced she will ever receive earthly justice.
Sigh…..

That's just it. (MOO) it's not their money. It's his money, which he hid in their accounts. For this very reason.

Here is hoping those girls have blown all of Barry’s money on mani/pedis, hair coloring, boots, shoes and purses. I can always hope right?!

I can't find him in any jail rosters but it's possible I don't know how/where to look.

I hope, until he trial, he remains a day late and a dollar short.

It doesn't feel right that, with presumption great, and a history of hiding funds, changing names and license plates, and just generally being dodgy, that he should enjoy any more freedom than he already has, while some Suzanne's bones and BAM marrow sit unclaimed in the bags on a dusty evidence shelf (assuming they're still there), some of her bones remain detached and missing, and her voice, still muted.

He'll behave too. Because his attorneys will use that behavior in a couple months to show why he should get even more freedoms.

Sometimes it feels like justice itself has been barried.

Would savings /investments count as income ?

The only part of savings/investments that would count as annual income would be any interest or dividend income paid to you during the year.

Ultimately, the Court has jurisdiction to decide whether the defendant is indigent and, therefore, entitled to court-appointed counsel. The annual income guidelines are adjusted every year, similar to the United States Census Bureau's poverty thresholds.

The value of the principal of any savings/investments would be reported on the application under "ASSETS."

When assessing a defendant's personal property or investments, they can only count the Assets that can be converted into cash without risking your ability to maintain a home and employment.

I'm thinking/hoping that if he bonds out, he won't stick to the terms. If he's been doing business in AZ under a different name, I assume this means he can no longer do business in AZ under that name. So the minute he gets out, if he does any business in AZ, will that be a forfeiture of the bond?

Then I'm wondering what will happen, will the judge revoke. If not, well then we know what kind of judge we're dealing with.

I truly can't imagine that he will just "not" do any of his business pending in AZ. And IIUC, it's all under a different name.

Any communications he has with his family are monitored right?

I just have the suspicion that there's some plotting going on behind the scene, and maybe why he has not yet bonded out (though that may take some time to arrange).
I do not see this devious monster narcissist ever risking going to prison.
He is just not going to comply with the terms. I tend to agree with Love Never Fails in the post above,

Folks, I think that was one of the last glimpses of BM we will see. If he does get to wear that ankle bracelet he will be GONE. He knows this is it. I think there will be ways to get across Mexican Border with no passport or fake passport no problemo. He has nothing to lose.

I am shocked at the blatant disregard for Suzanne's brother and sister in that courtroom yesterday, My heart hurts for them. ALL JMO

@DBLG - thank you kindly for acknowledging Suzanne's siblings.

I'm still reeling over how this case became treating Morphew as if he's the poster of noblemen and innocence among us, when it's a fact that a for a second time, once without a body, evidence has shown that a murder was committed, and probable cause established that the defendant was the one who likely did it. Most recently, the Grand Jury determined that there is also enough evidence for the case to go to a jury trial. So... sorry, not sorry, that I can't pretend, or un-see the evidence.

Please see the link below for Lauren Scharf's tweets citing the reasons why another Court believed Morphew was responsible for killing his wife, and also all the individuals who were omitted from the recent Mandatory Protection Order by Judge Hopkins. More importantly, there wasn't even any inquiry or consideration given to them during the hearing. MOO

Nooooo...it's coming @Love Never Fails. The road has been a long and winding one, but it's moving forward now. BM can sit there as c o c k y as he wants to, but he knows his days are numbered.

We see you:
